These guys put on an amazing show and really make you feel like you've stepped back into the 70s. My wife and I had an excellent time!
I have seen Led Zeppelin 2 play in the past and I think they play amazing and put on a good show. This time around they played a lot of songs not are not cult classics, and although I do appreciate trying to change things up, since it’s a cover band, I want to hear and jam out to the classics with one or two less known hits mixed in their. Probably won’t be seeing them again.
These guys were hyped as a solid, regional, Zeppelin cover-band from -I believe - Chicago. Anyway, in comparison with Get The Led Out, ZoSo, and even locally- Never Never - 'Led Zeppelin 2' definitely rates LAST. The singer hit more bad, off-key notes than good ones; the drummer was was too 'busy' (vs synchopated) - and , to be fair - the guitarist was okay. We left the venue less than an hour after We arrived. Save Your Money...
I came across this band in a very interesting way. I contacted them and found them to be very responsive. Because of that, I wound up at their show and was extremely happy with the performance. It started out nicely and progressed into a really well tuned, musical rendition of songs from the Led Zeppelin discography. I think what surprised me a first was the selection of songs which seemed to be chosen to appeal to both the real fan and the ones who just loved them from the radio play. But the thing that grabbed me and kept my ears on full alert were the little nuances that each musician brought in themselves to their performance. I always loved the music of Zeppelin and will forever listen to the entirety of any song that comes onto the radio because that is what we, the appreciators of music do, but when I buy tickets to see a band perform the likes of their music as well as their stage presence, I want to see their appreciation as well. Because that what makes a truly great cover band. To witness their talent intertwined with an appreciation for forms of music they had nothing to do with writing but still somehow knew it would be fulfilling to recreate it all in a big salad bowl of musical salvation. This show was a great night for all who watched and one could here the appreciation from many in the crowd who were smiling and voicing their opinions in hoots and hollers. To Bruce the lead singer, you have a great stage presence that really comes across well to onlookers. Greg there is really nothing to say. Your performance was simply amazing and as my brother and I walked down Sout Street after the show we could hear folks talking about that sick 14 minute drum solo. *Paul, you kept the night going with lots of great riffs and the bow playing was phenomenal. You did a nice job with an extremely difficult task. Kudos. Matthew, it was a pleasure watching the various instruments you played. Nicely done as well. Just like I said. This was all that I was looking for in this ticket and I was surprised at my feeling of satisfaction as I made my way to the exit at the end of the night.
My first tribute band. Weird with sixty-somethings like me revisiting the music we loved in our teens and twenties. Even weirder with guys in shoulder-length curly black wigs, etc trying to represent the looks and stage presence of Led Zep But the music! And, even more the mind-blowing musicianship! These guys might be (not sure, never saw them) BETTER than the original. At least as good. And I marveled at the original arrangements. Great, great concert.
The singer’s mic was off for the first 2 songs. By the 5th song I was yearning for the good old no singer days. We left early.
The band clearly has talent, just didn’t care for a lot of the set list. When I go to see a cover band, I’m looking for the band’s more popular songs performed closer to album quality. Drummer is phenomenal!
I saw this band a few years ago and was very impressed. This show the band seemed a little off on vocals at times and the guitarist was not as sharp as I remember. The drummer and bass player were on top of it all night.
The band gives a feel they actually love Led Zeppelin and are having as much of a good time on stage as the crowd and the lead singer if your blindfolded you’d actually believe Robert Plant is singing
Great show! The drummer was outstanding! Hope they comeback soon!
From the start of the show Led Zeppelin 2 was superb, they rocked the Ballroom. Great band had what I remember from the good ole days even an 11 Minute drum solo. The way the Lead singer lead us back to the Zeppelin days was awesome talking about our futuristic boxes we had (cell phones) was great they made the show. Will definitely see them again when they come back.
Great performance. Loved everything especially “John Bonhams” drum solo. Truly remarkable.. Would go again tomorrow if I could. Was in INDY visiting my daughter and Drove past and saw sign. Bought tickets and went alone. Loved every minute.. and being Led Zeppelin’s biggest fan says a lot. Would of loved to hear some classics like stairway, thank you, or I got a girl wanna ball all day.(forgot title at the moment, or Going to Ca.. maybe next time. Also more of Jimmys violin guitar playing which was also amazing. Very impressed with the range of “Roberts” voice and the similarities to the original..great band! Since we can’t go see the original band- this is definitely next best thing! Keep rocking boys!
Took my teenage kids to see this show . Led Zeppelin 2 was awesome! Exceeded all expectations. My kids really enjoyed it as well . I will see this band again for sure
Sound was not balanced. The guitar was muted compared to the very loud bass guitar and drums. The vocalist was decent, but could use a little more training. Overall, we would go see them again, and hope for better sound mix.
Fantastic tribute! Near two hours of solid rock. Flawless, great mix and the material! Zepplin FOUR. The ONLY beef is that it was billed as performing four but not in order and mixed in with other great songs, but wasn't sure all the album's songs were performed, NBD. Will go see them again and again. House of Blues sound was good, the belligerent drunk contingency didn't mar the experience substantially. Steve Hoyle is to be invited back and sit in more songs, please.
I’ve seen several Led Zeppelin tribute acts and I have to sat, this was not one of the better ones. It may have been partly due to the fact the sound mix was awful. Most of the time the bass and drums overpowered the guitar and vocals. I didn’t think the singer had a ver good voice (maybe because he couldn’t hear himself?), and the guitar work was uninspired. The venue (house of blues) isn’t the best place to see a band, especially when they pack so many people in. I for one will not consider seeing future acts at this venue.
House of Blues is very cool, "VIP" seating is just ok. If you're cool with standing and don't mind waiting in line for a drink, I wouldn't bother to spend the extra money. Led Zepplin 2 was outstanding! They sounded great, played good songs, looked the part, just overall a good show
Sound was amazing , just like it did in 70s .A little tough being packed in like sardines but worth it .One of the best drum solos I have heard.
This band is always fun but watching a show at the house of blues is always a chore because the setup and design is not very conducive to standing room only. Bad sightlines and small spaces to pass people and get to the bars.
These guys never disappoint! Sound amazing, such a good vibe too. Will def be back to see them!
