Singer was struggling, but generally an excellent show.
The band is so dead on, that it is easy to forget that they are a tribute band and not actually Led Zeppelin in their prime. I have to see this band every time they are in Dallas.
This was the 4th year in a row we've gone to see/hear the experience of their performance. After 1 time we were hooked. I've watched Led Zeppelin live on video and can say beyond a shadow of doubt these guys are AS CLOSE as you'll ever get to actually knowing what a Led Zeppelin concert was like 'back in the day'. They embody Plant, Page, Bonham, & Jones to the degree you think you've gone back in time to the 70's. Costumes, choreography, attention to detail and body movements plus the SOUNDS. Their Page does double-neck, plays theramin, uses violin bow, etc. like Page did, their Bonham tears up the drums like Bonham did. Their Plant plays harmonica, tambourine, hops backwards, etc. like Plant did. Their Jones plays keyboards, bass, & mandolin like Jones did. I can't recommend these guys highly enough!!!!
They played all the hits and the show was nice and long. One problem, Robert Plant (real name Bruce) can't sing the high notes, is ill, or just getting over being sick. Unfortunately, his voice would break and crack every time and ruin the song. And on a couple of songs he sang/talked. On the flip side-when he sang in his regular voice it was pretty good, my suggestion, sing that way. If you can't do Plant - DON"T DO IT. The musicians were really good, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, and John Bonham are very talented. Most of the evening I watched the drummer (real name Ian) and he is friggen excellent. Overall is was an OK show, for fake Plant - what a trooper and good job powering through the show being sick and all. My boyfriend says he can't sing. Personally I'm hoping he was sick.
We all know that no one can top Jimmy Page and Robert Plant but these guys were very enjoyable to watch and worth every penny. Very talented performers and they played various instruments. The drummer rocked!!
The show was incredible...what can be said about seeing Led Zeppelin performed pretty much as it was intended to be. I can't really say anything negative about the show or venue, but getting to the venue was, to be nice, ridiculous and impossible. I'm highly unlikely to visit that venue again until they sort out the massive transportation, traffic, parking, and logistics issues of getting there. That aside, the group was phenomenal and did not disappoint, especially for someone who was not old enough to ever see Zep live.
Singer sounded like Plant but could not hold the notes. Bass guitar overpowered the whole sound system.
There are plenty of Zeppelin cover bands, and I've seen a bunch of them, but these guys are the best. The tickets are very reasonable and LZ2 always delivers. As long as they keep playing, we will keep going.
It was very good. Impossible to nail Robert Plant in his primes voice but did a good job of trying. Great song choices. Only missing "Communication Breakdown" from my wish list. Concert advertised to start at 8pm but didn't start till 9pm. Total of 3 hours standing not great. Worth the price.
The venue was cool, good atmosphere, and the crowd was really into it. The band played with a lot of energy and was clearly having fun. The set list was a good mix of the obvious hits and deep cuts for hard core Zep fans (i.e. Night Flight, That's the Way). 'John Paul Jones' was a standout, showing equal proficiency on bass, mandolin, and keyboards. The only downside was the vocalist struggled to hit a lot of the higher notes; it sounded very strained and took away from the energy at times. He did SOUND like Robert Plant, but just didn't have the same range. But he was clearly giving it his best and performed with a lot of intensity. Overall, Classic Albums Live gives a more note-perfect performance, but for a fun night out with a few drinks and some nice loud Zeppelin this was worth the price!
It was my second time assisting to this concert. I really like the band, they totally rock!!1! thanks for coming one more time to Miami. i will definitely go next time they come.
Awesome shows in both Ft. Lauderdale Revolution live and Orlando House of Blues. Excellent set list played, never a disappointment. We requested a song after the Ft. Lauderdale show, they played it the next night at the Orlando House of Blues. The band members come out after the show for pictures, autographs, and to hang out which is great experience. Thank you very much Bruce, Paul, Matthew and Ian. Please come to Florida more often!
Seeing LZ2 live is the closest thing that you'll experience to see LZ live in the 70s.
The concert was really good, very talented musicians
Excellent sound and lighting. The setlist was well selected. The best was that the band members shared with the audience after the concert ended. I bought a drumstick and finally they gave me their autographs. It was phenomenal.
Great tribute to Zep....lead guitarist is off the charts....channels Jimmy Page.
Excellent guitar player. I really enjoyed the whole event.
This was my 2nd time seeing the band so I was excited. It started out promising with some older zep tunes.then they went into what I call Pop-Zep,Songs that they play on the radio. The sound system was bad and the guitarist seemed a little off.We actually left before it was over.If you didn't see Led Zeppelin back in their day, skip Led Zeppelin 2 and stay home and watch The Song Remains The Same!
The singer sounded a lot like Robert Plant, and they all looked and played their parts as if they were the original group. They had a lot of energy and really wanted to please the crowd.
Good venue great concert great price very easy to find in indy
