Incredible vibe. They brought their best effort and maintained it throughout an epic 3 hour set.

LCD SOUNDSYSTEM IN CONCERT:
Back in the early '00s fans fell hard and fast for the funky electronica and rebellious rock and roll spirit LCD Soundsystem brought to their superb albums and killer live shows. The fun ended in 2011 when the band hung up their guitars and unplugged their drum machines, but not all was lost—legendary frontman James Murphy announced a reunion in 2015, and fans can't wait for LCD to blast some seriously funky stuff when they return to the stage. With headlining sets at several world-class festivals slated for 2016, the band has fans chomping at the bit to dance the night away to favorites like “Losing My Edge”, “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House”, and “North American Scum”. LCD Soundsystem is sure to deliver the party-worthy passion that ticket buyers love to feel on the dance floor, and fans can't wait for their epic comeback party.
BACKFROUND SNAPSHOT:
James Murphy bounced around the NYC music scene for more than a decade before gaining traction with the DJ project Death from Above, which saw him spinning everything from Daft Punk to Can. After seeing a younger DJ aping his unique mixes, he was inspired to write the snarky, humorous “Losing My Edge” in 2002 and LCD Soundsystem was born. He continued to cut successful singles and assembled a group of musicians to recreate his songs in a live setting, a move that thrilling both indie rockers and underground dance fans. Murphy's underground fame soon gave way to crossover success—the band's 2005 self-titled debut and 2007 album Sound of Silver both received Grammy nominations for Best Electronica/Dance Album. After the release of their 2010 album This Is Happening, Murphy decided to step out of the limelight and announced the group’s final show the following year. The hiatus only lasted four years, as the songwriter posted a heartfelt letter to his fans in 2015 telling them he had come up with a wealth of new material and decided that his former band would be the best outlet for it. With LCD Soundsystem headlining major festivals like Coachella in 2016, fans can’t wait to pick up where this dance party left off.

Ridiculous.
by Bmj2891 on 4/1/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5This was probably the best concert I have ever been to. Shit Robot opened for them and played for around an hour. Soon after LCD came on and they played for 3 and a half hours. The light show was amazing. We were about 5 feet from the stage. Amazing show at a great venue. It'll be hard for anyone else to beat this show, too bad it was their third to last concert ever.
LCD sure to not dissappoint
by btitus on 4/1/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5The show was easily one of the best shows I have seen, and I've seen my fair share of concerts. The energy was ridiculous and the band sounded great. Its a shame this is one of their last concerts, but they certainly went out with a bang. I tip my hat to you James Murphy and the LCD crew.

Best LCD show I've seen yet. They're putting it all out there. So sad that this weekend is their last show...

This feels like the 20th time I've been to Terminal 5, and this was definitely one of the better gigs. LCD played a full 3 hour set and ended the night off on a high note. I'm happy that I got to witness them before their official band retirement. It was a dance party from start to finish, but a handful of the songs seemed to drag on for longer than necessary -- one seemed like it went on for a good 20 minutes. Nevertheless, I had a great time. The venue was packed, as always, and the audio seemed much improved since the last time I visited.
Such a shame they are disbanding
by greyvtrayn on 3/31/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5One of the best live performances I can remember. Words cannot describe the sound, energy and vibe. It was a top notch performance in every aspect. For those that did not get to see one of their 4 shows at Terminal 5 you would be doing yourself a disservice by not going thru any and every channel to make it to the MSG show. I would be shocked if any fan of LCD has a single bad word to say about the Tuesday night show, it was a mindblowing experience. Can't stress it enough, if you are a fan and have never seen them live...FIND A WAY TO GET INTO MSG ON APRIL 2ND!
AMAZING
by BananaPeelOut on 3/31/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5LCD Soundsystem was amazing. The lights, the music, the venue, everything was great! It was their first show of their final run of shows. They played for 3 hours and kept the crowd dancing the entire time. It was well worth the trip to NYC to see them! Toodles, LCD Soundsystem, Love ya.
Amazing!
by EMoney123 on 3/31/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5I am so sad they are not going to be together. James Murphy is genius and the rest of the band is pretty righteous in their own right. Hopefully they'll get back together in a couple of years and bless us with their musical delight.
We'll miss you, James Murphy
by dobell on 3/31/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5Stuff I loved: - James Murphy was in a great mood, and more than ever his band is watertight as a duck's keister. - Near-perfect pacing, with throbbing tracks early, experimental stuff in the middle and wistful stuff toward the end -- except for the immortal "All My Friends," which closed the first set before the break. - Virtually all of the masterpiece 'Sound of Silver' was played (every track but "Watch the Tapes"). - A near-full run-through of the '45:33' album, complete with brass section. Cleverly, Murphy replaced the section of that opus that later became the song "Someone Great" with a transitional bit from the song "Sound of Silver," so as not to spoil the perf. of "SG" later in the set. - Reggie Watts doing guest vocals on '45:33'. - The lights were simple but mesmerizing. - True to his geekdom, it was clear Murphy had worked hard on the setlist and the arrangements. There was as much "jamming" as LCDS's music will allow, and it felt loose and groovy, but it was carefully curated, start to finish. - The whole thing felt like a love letter to NYC: Murphy dimmed the lights to "New York Groove" by Ace Frehley and closed the show with "New York I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down."
LCD Farewell

One of the best shows I've ever been too. Sad to say goodbye to LCD.
Countdown to LCD's Last Show
by bbeats on 3/31/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5I thought this show was absolutely amazing. I saw them two nights in a row and despite the fact that the set list was essentially identical, it was amazing. James Murphy and everyone in LCD are great performers. They played for 3 hours, played everything I wanted to hear besides One Touch, did a cover, and just rocked hard. Amazing show. I regret not getting tickets for all 4 shows.
Thank You Mr Murphy and Co!
by Anonymous on 3/31/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5They really put their heart and soul into this performance. Cheers fellas!

LCD T5
by SirPaul on 3/31/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5A great three hour long show with elements from their whole catalogue. Its a shame that we'll have to wait for the 2015 reunion at Coachella to get another chance to see them.

This was an amazing show. The production was top notch and LCD knows how to get the crowd into the music with the awesome sonic peaks and valleys they create.

LCD Soundsystem, THE dance party of nyc
by conie on 3/30/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5Tight tight band. Shame these are their "last shows". Rock concert meets rave, dancing and moshing hypnotically. Get groovy.
More Incredible then I could have ever Wished For!
by jandrewcat on 3/30/11Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5This was exactly the show everyone was expecting and more. Everyone seemed to wonder whether they would pull out the 3 hour show and they absolutely delivered. They played all of the classics plus Time to Get Away, Sound of Silver, Thrills and 45:33 including its bonus tracks. The band was energetic throughout the entire show and as much as I'm sad that this is the end (and that I will never see Pow Pow) it was the perfect send-off. Liquid Liquid was fun and it was interesting to see a little piece of what James was listening to when he was my age.
