lazerfest was unbelievable. will definitely retur

by hittman71 on 5/19/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

Powerman 5000, pretty reckless very good opening bands. Skillet blew everyone previous off the stage. Queens of the stone age disappointing. Only wish is offspring should have played more than ninety minutes. Maybe two hours.

    Lazerfest 2014

by Anonymous on 5/16/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

Excellent event! Very well run through band changes. CSC staff did an outstanding job as did Wells Fargo Arena. I was very glad to have easy access to somewhere to sit down.

    Great show for the money

by Anonymous on 5/16/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

With the number of bands playing, Lazerfest is always worth the money! Especially, if you are looking for new music to love instead of seeing the same acts every year.

    Awesome Concert-Lazerfest 2014

by littlerockwoman on 5/16/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

The Lazerfest 2014 concert was wonderful. However, I wish that things would have been a little more better organized. First the concert was suppose to be in Boone Iowa then it got moved to Des Moines Iowa- we got told this a week before the concert date. Second, once we got there, no one in audience had any idea of where to go in order to see the concert. Third, once everything was figured out, the concert ended up starting a 4 in the afternoon, not 12 in the afternoon like we were told. Besides those 3 things, the concert as well as the artists were extremely amazing.

Big variety of Rock bands from southern to Christian to heavy metal to punk ensured that any rock fan would find a performance they really liked but also makes it so that it's hard to get into every performance without very broad tastes in music. Timing of second stage got off and resulted in 2 bands starting at same time which was disappointing. Overall it was a lot of fun and weather turned out better than anyone would have guessed with tornadoes in the forecast.

    Worst Lazerfest to date

by FrustratedDSMfan14 on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

The bands were great but the logistics of the new venue situation was terribly ran. They need to bring this back to an outside venue in Des Moines again (aka: Waterworks, etc.) Why not the Iowa State Fairgrounds or some new outside venue in Des Moines??!!??

    Lazerfest was fantastic

by Whatsername517 on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

There was a great lineup for Lazerfest this year. Pop Evil, Theory of A Dead Man, and Skillet were all fantastic. Skillet has a really great stage presence and a lot of special effects. The best though, was definitely The Offspring. If you ever get a chance to see them live, do it. They are absolutely amazing. They connect with the audience really well and if you are already a fan it is totally worth the price. Not to mention this show was only about 50 bucks a ticket if you got it early enough. This is something I would recommend to any rock music fan. The only downside was it was hard to figure out where all the bands were playing and when, but other than that it was possibly the greatest show I have ever been to.

    Skillet rocked!

by 1sttimefun on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

This was our first time at LAZERFEST and we had a great time! Some of the bands we really enjoyed were Pop Evil, 1000 Foot Krutch, Powerman 5000, The Offspring and Skillet.

    Great Show

by BrandonZJ on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

Almost all of the bands were great and the few that I hadn't heard of were surprisingly good. The venue change from Boone to The Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines was very much appreciated. Being able to sit inside with air conditioning was a bonus.

    Skillet was awesome!!

by Grannyszoo on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

Excellent show!! The only bad thing was having to have it inside, but understandable due to bad weather! Lazerfest rocks! Can't wait for next year!! Loved seeing The Offspring, Theory of a Deadman, and Pop Evil - but have to say that Skillet put on the best show of any of the bands!!

    Weather wasn't the worst part

by LazerVet on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

The venue change was a big let down and a logistic nightmare. The outdoor concert area was way to small, and had to little to chose from as far as finding something to eat. The bands were extremely loud due to the cramp area. The inside floor areas were also WAY to loud given the bands and the accommodations. We had VIP tickets which was supposed to include a steak dinner, which in the past had been quite good, but this to was substituted for a cold burger and an even colder hot dog brat combination thing. The potato salad was almost crunchy to boot. The bands were quite good.

    Skillet Stole The Show

by PackerBacker666 on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

Another great Lazerfest year! The venue change turned out for the best since we had severe storms at night.

    Poorly managed concert

by Anonymous on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

As a first-time attendee of Lazerfest, it was not well organized and poorly managed. First of all, stick to your schedule. Not being interested in seeing bands until Powerman 5000, I decided to show up when the band was supposed to play and to my dismay they had just finished. I missed a band I wanted to see because the schedule was not kept. If bands cancel, you better have an alternative plan in place to keep the schedule. Plus, less is more. Having to choose between The Pretty Reckless and Machine Head was terrible. I wanted to see both. Don't advertise you can see all these great bands, and the lineup was very good, if you can't do it. Having eight bands or so play a little longer sets and one at a time in this indoor/outdoor set up is the way to go. I understand the outoor venue with two stages side by side can allow this big lineup to work without missing anything. Trying to do that at Wells Fargo was a disaster. Other than that, the Offspring and Skillett were the hits of the show and did a great job.

    Every band was great!

by Jabe44 on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

The venue was good even though I had heard some people didn't go because of the move to the Well. I'm glad I went it was the best lazerfest I had ever been to. J. Roddy, Skillet, We CAme AS Romans, TFK, Theory of a Deadman, Queens of The Stone Age, were all amazing live. The Offspring absolutely stole the show in my opinion. The only thing I can complain about is that I lost my good hat from a crowd surfer knocking it off my head. It was crazy fun and I can't wait till next year!

Not Sure I'll Go Next Year

by ManyYearAttendee on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

The bands were mediocre... They should have picked either inside or outside... Impossible to get back out to see all the bands... The ticket price's claim to fame is that you see 15 bands, but this year you could only see about 10 bands, due to the inconvenience of getting in and out... Too much time between bands, no one likes to hear sound check... Guess we'll see what next year brings before I buy a ticket...

    Awesome Offspring

by Jenifr on 5/14/14Wells Fargo Arena - Des Moines

The venue was moved from Boone to Wells Fargo in Des Moines. I was very upset about the change, but it was an awesome call. We had very bad weather that night and I was so happy they moved indoors. I am looking forward to the Boone venue next year, though. I am also being treated for cancer, I was very weak, but I never had any doubt about attending Lazerfest. I should also add that I am 52 and I got to spend Mother's Day at Lazerfest with my adult kids.
