Laufey (pronounced lāy-vāy) is a 24-year-old, Los Angeles-based singer, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist whose jazz songs are about young love and self-discovery. Raised between Reykjavik and Washington, D.C. with annual visits to Beijing, the Icelandic-Chinese artist grew up playing cello as well as piano and became hooked on the jazz standards of Ella Fitzgerald after digging through her father's record collection. In 2020, while still a student at Berklee College of Music, Laufey released her debut single "Street by Street," which went on to top the Icelandic radio charts. Following the release of her 2021 Typical of Me EP, Laufey was named Best New Artist in Jazz and Blues at the Icelandic Music Awards and hosted her own show on BBC Radio 3/BBC Sounds. Her debut full-length Everything I Know About Love, debuted at #1 on Billboard's Alternative New Artist Album chart, and the lead single "Valentine" peaked at #1 on the Spotify Jazz Chart. In 2022 Laufey was the most streamed jazz artist on Spotify, with 425 million streams across all platforms.

The concert was great!! There was a cool vibe with the crowd. I didn’t know any of the songs she sang, but my son loves her music.
The whole thing was beautiful. From the place where the concert was held (the Masonic) to the opener for Laufey, Grace Enger. The whole time I just remember being in awe of it all. Then came the time that Laufey started performing! It was a surreal experience that I already miss so much.
This was my first Laufey show and let me tell you she is amazing live! This was probably one of my favorite concerts I’ve been to in a while. I really hope she comes back to Seattle soon :)
Laufey’s concert was absolutely beautiful. The focus was on the music and she played all her hits and mesmerized the audience with her lovely voice and accompanying artists. The evening began though with her opener Grace Enger. I did not know this artist and enjoyed her music a lot. She was engaging with the audience, funny and great with just herself and her guitar. Definitely warmed up the audience for the amazing Laufey to come. Laufey really was stunning. In a shimmering dress she performed brilliantly with her vocals, guitar, cello and piano. It sounded like she had some sound issues with static in her earphone, but she managed to get through this and have her pack changed without missing a beat. Laufey’s audience is almost as amazing as she is. So respectful and lovely. I would love to attend another concert of hers.
Laufey just captures my attention in a way no other singer ever has. She has such a beautiful voice and a wonderful band that makes for an experience entirely different than listening to her recorded music. I would recommend Laufey a thousand times over even if you aren't a huge fan of her style of music.
Her concert was so beautiful, not just because of her songs but also her singing, the instruments, and the visuals.
I saw her about a month ago and I fought for my life to get a ticket today. She is such an amazing artist.
i have been to both of laufey houston shows and the difference is night and day between them. whenever i first saw her for her Everything I Know About Love tour in houston the venue she had was much smaller and overall the crowd nicely danced and sang along but not to the point where i could barely hear her and it was overall a pleasant experience and it felt like the people there really cared about the music. however the same cannot be said for her Bewitched tour which was a complete 180 from what i first experience; the crowd seemed significantly much younger and with younger fans comes poor concert etiquette, everyone tried to rush in to get to the front row which caused people to get squished and it was hard to move around to the point where people fainted and passed out. but whenever she came one and started to sing i could barley hear her cause everyone was screaming. i thought we came to these events to hear the artist perform not to drown out their voice with screaming. overall was not a great experience because of the fans which is sad because i loved seeing her the first time.
I went to her houston show for the bewitched tour and i absolutely loved it!! sadly the venue was quite hot and so a few people passed out or were really dehydrated, and it was super rainy outside that day but it was still an amazing show nonetheless!! her voice was so beautiful and the crowd was sooo loud!! she was glowing and i loved adam melchor as well!! an unforgettable night for sure!!
The concert was absolutely LIFE ALTERING. She interacted with the audience, sang beautifully, and come on its Laufey she’s amazing. I wouldn’t hesitate to jump at the opportunity of booking more tickets and see her again live. HIGHLY SUGGEST. ❤️
It was amazing. She was amazing. Hearing her songs live cured something in me. Everyone was dressed up so pretty too.
Laufey is by far the most talented artist I’ve ever seen. Her music already held a special place in my heart because it’s played constantly at home but her performance was somehow a million times better than I could have ever imagined. We left the venue wondering if it had just been a dream.
I've never been to a concert with seats in the Van Buren! It was really nice for a change. I haven't left a concert without sore feet in a long time until Laufey! If you want a nice relaxed crowd that stays seated, I recommend! Not to mention the music was amazing, she is a great performer.
The ticketmaster site (or tour site) did not disclose that the opening act wouldn't come until 8:10, even though it says show is at 7, and Laufey came on at 9:00 pm. This was a GA event, so we and many others got here early with the expectations that doors opened early and show starts at 7. However, doors OPENED at 7, and we got in by 7:15, had to find our spot, and stay still and stand for over an hour until show started. AC wasn't good, we were all hot and tired of standing with no show, and this man even fainted. While Laufey was amazing and I am grateful for seeing her, this venue was horrible, and I hope she can aim for venues with only seats for next tour. I will pay extra to not have to deal with the mess of this GA.
I took my daughter to see Laufey on Monday. Blown away !!!! She’s only 15 but she has an old soul. The show felt so intimate which I loved! You can tell she doesn’t take what she does for granted. She played several instruments and her voice was like silk. The band was amazing as well! Great show !!!!
I loved the Laufey Concert! It is my favorite that I have been to. Her voice is stunning live, and her personality is so beautiful. I would love to get tickets to see her again next time she’s on tour.
Tickets were so cheap and flying out to see her was so worth it, amazing set and hearing her in person was an amazing experience
We arrived an hour before opening and there was a big line and unfortunately it was all an outside line. Which wouldn’t be so terrible but it was raining down hard and in result me and my boyfriend ended up soaked. When we got inside we saw how small the venue was and knew everyone was going to be squished together and crowded. In result I got one glimpse of her before I chose to just sit down on the floor behind everyone and just listen. Terribly cold and still wet from the rain. Merch line was definitely insane with there only being 3 people running it sometimes just 2. And the staff of the Venue were overall rude. I don’t think I’d see a show again for her, though I will keep listening. It was just the overall bad experience that ruined it for me. Unfortunately the worst concert I’ve gone to. Only positive is that her voice is amazing live.
laufey and adam melchor were FANTASTIC. can’t wait to see them grow even more, next up the Mann??
My daughters and I were lucky to get VIP experience and concert tickets (these were sold separately) to see Laufey! We flew to DC just to see her. What a fabulous experience! Held at Lincoln Theater, roughly 30 tickets were sold for VIP. We were front row and center and got to hear her perform two songs and ask questions. Afterwards, we had first access to her merchandise. The show was fabulous with Adam Melchor opening and Laufey being her amazing self! Loved the ending as she sings a different song at each venue for her encore. Also, shoutout to the staff at Lincoln Theater for their hospitality!
