About

Larry Hernandez burst onto the Latin music scene with "16 Narco Corridos," a solo album that he wrote nearly entirely on his own and recorded in one day. Music lovers who go Hernandez's concerts fall in love with the crooner's warm energy, and they say his readiness to bare his soul during performances is his ticket to winning over fans' hearts. Recently, Hernandez released Aca Entre Nos, an album which reached No. 8 on the Top Latin Albums chart.

The Los Angeles native began his career as part of the group Los Amables del Norte, but soon went solo and released two albums: his 2002 debut, Mil Noches, and 2008's Hace un Mes. His third album, 16 Narco Corridos, hit the Top Latin Albums chart, and Hernandez accomplished the challenging feat of having two albums on the Top 10 charts at the same time Since the start of his career, Hernandez’s songs and albums have routinely showed up on the music charts, and he has garnered various industry awards, including Latin Billboard Music Awards for Regional Mexican Airplay Artist of the Year and Solo and Regional Mexican Albums Artist of the Year. This American-born son of Mexico clings tightly to his Latin American roots, which shines through beautifully and soulfully in his music. Hernandez took this firm foundation in his Latin beginnings and wove them into a a successful career, which has led him on tours across Latin America, the rest of North America, and throughout the world.

  • Amateur mistakes

by JerseyGirlinMKE on 9/6/17UW–Milwaukee Panther Arena - MilwaukeeRating: 3 out of 5

Most disappointing was Gente de Zona, which for sure where in the Midwest area Saturday night, not show up to this concert. Very ambitious concert with seriously some amazingly talented artists that did not get the sound system service they deserved. How could you plan 7 + acts and not take into consideration the change over of equipment and sound checks? You should have had TWO stages at least to avoid the delay in between acts. The concert ended at almost 1AM, but we left as soon as the beautiful Chiquis Rivera came on because it was too painful to see this talented artist struggling over the extra loud band that played behind her. And those poor girls, Salsabrositas - what they did to them with music cutting out was so, so sad, but they danced without music. Really totally amateur mistakes. Also - two major concerts for Latinos primarily going on in the same state?! Work together folks! Missed seeing Elvis Crespo who when on at about 11:45 PM so I heard. Milwaukee Panther location was staffed with very nice folks.

Sound system was horrible, break in between performance was horrible. I waited 4 hours to see gente de zona to be told they weren't performing.

  • Voz De Mando is Awesome/Larry Hernandez is terrib

by toasternuts on 5/4/16Queen Mary Events Park - Long BeachRating: 3 out of 5

Voz De Mando, Septima Banda, and Grupo Escolta were the best groups of the night. Larry Hernandez and Alfredo Olivas sing terrible live. I will not spend money to see Larry and Alfredo again.

  • Waste of Money

by Kizzy6867 on 6/30/14Del Mar Fairgrounds - Del MarRating: 2 out of 5

I really like the songs Larry sings but he cannot sing live, he sings his songs in such a different tone that you're not able to sing along with him. It was a waste of money. Also, if you get VIP table, might as well get up and get your own beer, it's about 50 dollars a bucket of 6 beers.

  • Larry Hernandez Concert

by Rachelcas on 7/26/13Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great, lots of seating and now there is a lot more space to dance which is what everyone wants to do after hearing the music and having a couple of beers to make you happy. I would like to see more latin singers or groups which would attract more people for the events and the casino. Thank you

  • Never again!!!!

Enjoyed the show. Sitting in the front row was horrible. Tons of people came and stood right in front of us and Security was rude to us who had seats in the front and did nothing to remove the people standing in front. I guess the solution for next time is to buy the cheap bleacher seats and then do the same, go stand right in front of the stage as soon as the show starts. Security was worthless and rude to all of us sitting in the front row. When we finally stood up to watch the show, they asked us to sit down back in our seats and again refused to remove the freeloaders standing in front of us.

  • Julio Preciado is Amazing!!!

by 1Yvette on 4/17/12San Jose McEnery Convention Center - San JoseRating: 3 out of 5

Overall I think the concert was great, the only problem no seating available!!!! It's horrible to be standing & getting pushed around over 3 hrs just to see your favorite artist & by the end you can't stand anymore. I would recommend to have assign seating, I wouldn't mind paying a little more as long as there were seats available.
