About

Lana Del Rey in Concert

Lana Del Rey is a Grammy nominated American singer/songwriter. Her music has been noted by critics for its stylized cinematic quality, glamour, melancholia and its references to 1950s and 1960s Americana.

Her debut album, Born To Die was released in January 2012 and charted at number one on the official UK Album Chart, peaked number two on the US charts and was the fifth best-selling album of 2012. Her extended play Paradise followed that November, garnering her first Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. Ultraviolence (2014), her third studio album, became her first album to reach number one in the US. In 2015, she released her fourth studio album, Honeymoon. Both albums received positive critical response.

Lana's fifth studio album Lust For Life, was released in 2017. The album received critical acclaim, and became her second album to reach No. 1 in the United States, while also reaching the top ten in almost every other country it charted in. The Album was also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 2018 Grammys.

Lana's sixth studio album is being released August 30, 2019. The highly anticipated album was mainly produced and co-written with Jack Antonoff and will include ‘Venice Bitch,' ‘Mariners Apartment Complex,' ‘hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have — but I have it,' and the cover of Sublime's ‘Doin' Time'.

I really LOVE Lana's music, but her performance lacked in entertainment. The show was set for 9pm and she arrived a whole hour late -- needless to say, the crowd was growing bit impatient and upon her arrival, she spent 15 minutes greeting the front row with hugs, selfies and kisses -- a little unfair for the rest of the crowd if you ask me. To top it off, Lana's set felt shorter than her coachella set. I think I'm Lana'd out for the rest of my life as far as a live event goes. But I'll remain supporting her music because she's a great artist, just not entertaining enough.

Performance was very short for a 5 hour wait. She spent at least 20 minutes mingling with the fans during the performance.

    Lana Del Rey is perfection!

by LEmmons7121993 on 4/28/14Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square - New Orleans

A lot of people complained because Lana would go and take pictures with her fans and didn't sing enough/long enough. These obviously aren't true Lana fans. She is so sweet and is thoughtful enough to hug, kiss, and take selfies with her audience that's in the front center part. Her guards wouldn't let her go further. Lana sang the songs identically to the CDs. Her voice is truly amazing and she covered the majority of what the crowd wanted to hear. I would go again in a heartbeat. The only thing one needs to take into consideration is that you need to be at the venue early if it's standing-only. Lana Del Rey is gorgeous and her voice is both angelic and dark. Seeing her was one of the best nights of my life.

A lot more mellow than expected. Not very great stage performance although her music is good. Many pauses between songs....didn't like the fact that during the last song she didn't even stay in front of the crowd but went to a few select in the front row...

She sounded good and was involved with the crowd, at least the ones right up against the barricades. It was an enjoyable show because we like her work. However, the delayed performance that barely went an hour did disappoint.

Her show might have been crowded, but it was worth the wait to see such a beauty on stage.

She started an hour late, then spent almost 20 minutes taking pictures with people. Paid $60 for barely an hour show.

    Where Is Lana?

by Carsannnnn on 4/28/14Bold Sphere Music at Champions Square - New Orleans

Honestly, it was way to hot for it to be an outdoors concert. Girls left and right were passing out & or throwing up it was very scary. Then at 9pm when Lana was supposed to come on, we were highly disappointed she didn't start til 10. Everyone around me was hot and angry, but when she finally came on the show was amazing! Next time however, i'm going to a concert that actually has seats.

    Great, but short

by EbayCEO on 4/24/14Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

Lana performed almost her whole Born to Die album, but sadly this only ran to 1hr 15 min., including the time she took to sign autographs for fans at the front (about 10-15 min). There was no encore. It seemed really short, overall, especially considering it took almost that same amount of time to even get into the venue due to the line. Otherwise, though, the performance was great and the vibe was really good. I'd recommend it, but know going in that the performance may be on the shorter side.

    Poor performance on many levels

by TBnSL on 4/23/14Comerica Theatre - Phoenix

Not only did the performance start over an hour late but the it barely lasted an hour and she had no other performers before or after her and not even a single encore song. Her outfit did not impress either, cut off shorts and a t-shirt. On top of all that she sang over prerecorded tracks the whole time and when she was singing her voice was all over the place and couldn't carry a tune/hold a note, whatever. She didn't perform a lot of the songs we were looking forward to and you could tell the whole crowd was pretty disappointed when the show ended.

had high expectations but still a good show

by carmenlita on 4/22/14Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

The crowd was CRAZY and the venue sucked for her type of music, but that is out of her control. Waited in line ~615, doors open 7, she started an hour late at ~9, ended too short at ~10:15. Stage had a bunch of plants, a large video screen, and lights. She sounded great and connected well with audience. But people were singing too loudly. For the most part she just stands there and sings but that's how she rolls. LDR needs to tour the US more often! Especially the bay area if she loves the West Coast so much **west coast gang sign**

    Lana. Del. Rey.

I mean really, how could she not be incredible? The set was short, unfortunately. But the performance was perfect.

    lana

by sofi42 on 4/22/14Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

the crowd was kind of ridiculous and violent but it was worth it to see Lana. so if you're going to go see her beware her fans are obsessed with her and will do whatever it takes to get the stage but like I said completely worth it she's even better in person she was signing autographs and shaking everybody's hands

    Lana del Rey was amazing

by Yannakins on 4/22/14Bill Graham Civic Auditorium - San Francisco

Even thought I was in line for almost 8 hours and then 2 more hours waiting for Lana to come out and preform it was so worth it to see her live. She is such a doll.
