Across their career Lamb Of God grew from basement shows and grimy DIY venues to headline arenas. The New Wave of American Heavy Metal architects earned a reverence akin to musical forefathers (and road companions) Metallica, Slayer, and Megadeth.
"For millions of headbangers, Lamb Of God are simply the most important contemporary metal band in the world," Guitar World observed. Timeless songs like "Laid to Rest," "Redneck," "Walk with Me in Hell," and "Now You've Got Something to Die For" became anthems in the heavy metal songbook, with gargantuan vocals born from both righteous anger and devotion, and unrivaled riffs for the ages.
Now, the Grammy-nominated goliath follows 2020's self-titled slab with a vicious new testament. Riding high on an insatiable drive, a focused collective camaraderie, and a creative renaissance saluted by the likes of Rolling Stone and NME, Lamb Of God returned to longtime producer Josh Wilbur (Megadeth, Korn, Avenged Sevenfold) and carved the gloriously unhinged Omens into sonic stone.
Even as D. Randall Blythe (vocals), Mark Morton (lead guitar), Willie Adler (guitar), John Campbell (bass), and Art Cruz (drums) enjoy one another's company and chemistry like never before, Omens is possibly the angriest Lamb Of God album yet. Densely muscular, soaked in unnerving spite, with a pessimistic eye toward inner struggles and global affairs alike, Omens is a furious entry in the catalog.
Most of the album was recorded live in the studio, including Blythe's vibrantly unhinged vocal attack. Morton and Adler's riffs threaten, challenge, and devastate. Cruz and Campbell's unstoppable rhythms lurch and beckon. Having shined on 2020's Lamb Of God, Cruz injects even more nuance and personality into his playing across Omens' songs.
It's a potent, palpable energy Lamb Of God first tapped when they shoved heavy metal into the new millennium with New American Gospel (2000). As the Palaces Burn (2003) joined Rolling Stone's Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time. Ashes of the Wake (2004) was the first Lamb Of Gold album certified gold by the RIAA, a feat once all but impossible for a contemporary extreme metal band.
Sacrament (2006), Revolver's Album of the Year, went gold as well. The raw and organic malice of Wrath (2009) began the band's enduring relationship with Wilbur. Both the diverse Resolution (2012) and the explosive VII: Sturm und Drang (2015) debuted in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200.
The 2020 self-titled set, their first new material in five years, added instant classics "Memento Mori" and "Resurrection Man" to the repertoire, alongside eight more monster tracks. Revolver, Metal Hammer, Loudwire, and Consequence included Lamb Of God on their year-end Best Albums lists. The momentum continues with Omens, arguably the band's most aggressive and ambitious yet.
The hardcore fire at the heart of Lamb Of God still burns as hot as the 12-foot flames blazing the stages on their co-headlining trek with Megadeth, appropriately called "The Metal Tour of the Year." Even as the state of the world descends, the state of the union for Lamb Of God remains strong.
Over the course of their career, Lamb of God have played at famed venues like the Arizona Federal Theatre and the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
One of the best shows we've been to in a while Lamb of God was amazing. We did the meet and greet experience they are awesome guys. My 12 year olds first concert one he won't ever forget. He got the drummers glove after the concert. The drummer Art also stopped and talked with him personally on the Casino floor about his drumming journey beginning. It was an amazing experience for us all.

This show was how a metal show is supposed to be... killer bands, great atmosphere, crowd 100% into the bands, fantastic energy!!!

All 3 bands sounded amazing. Show was awesome, stage was great, sound was perfect. Venue was cool but way too overpriced. $45 for 2 beers is ridiculous.
This show was awesome. Loud and heavy. Amazing seeing Kerry King’s new band. They shredded. Mastodon was great. Lamb of God absolutely destroyed. What a show!
Nice, new venue, but sound mixing was bad. Really could only hear drums and not much else. Didnt matter if you were right next to the stage or back in the lawn. Hopefully they get better. 🤷♂️
Tbh, all four acts were a draw for me and they didn’t disappoint. But the real MVPs were the staff at the Astro. They gave me an ADA seat and appropriate accommodations with a smile on their face. They even checked in on me a couple times to make sure I was doing okay. My seat was great. Thanks, Astro!
Probably the best show I've ever seen. The venue was beautiful and the bands were amazing. The sound system, special effects, and lighting were awesome. Staff was friendly and drinks were reasonably priced compared to other venues.
The Saltair was an awesome venue! Malevolence opened up, and came out huge! Kerry King was next and they tore it up! Next was Mastodon, and they sounded stellar! Love those guys! Lamb of God closed the night with a perfect set! All in all it was an epic night! The crowd was smaller than I expected, but it was on a Tuesday, and it was easy to get right up front for each performance 👏 👍
All of the bands had great performances...I didn't realize that Kerry King's new band was going to be there...I would have went just to see them!
All of the bands on this bill sounded great with fantastic stage presence. For me, the two highlights were Malevolence and Lamb of god. Both of them absolutely crushed it and I would definitely pay money to see both of them again (and again).
All 3 bands sounded amazing, venue is cool, the concessions were very affordable!!!
I’m now definitely a fan of Kerry King and Malevolence! (The opening bands) They were amazing and Kerry’s guitar solos were fire. I have never seen Mastodon before in concert but I will see them again! I have seen Lamb of God perform before but this time they surpassed all other expectations. Randy (Lamb of God frontman) was in top notch form, with growling heavy vocals, they definitely know how to put on a metal show! The whole stage setup was astounding, with video screens, amazing lighting and to top it off, bursts of flames. This concert was on the shore of the Great Salt Lake, which made for a beautiful setting, especially when the sun was setting across the water.
Lamb of God has become a cornerstone of modern metal, carrying the torch of the genre's legacy with unwavering strength. They keep the flame of metal's roots burning brightly, anchoring the genre in its purest form while driving it forward.

I don’t think it gets any better than The Great Saltair. What an amazing concert in a beautiful place. The staff there do a fantastic job. Zero complaints.
The lineup was insane! Tickets priced good, setlist was awesome and biggest mosh pit I've ever been in!
We saw Lamb of God with Mastodon, Kerry King (phenomenal) and Malevolence. This was the highest energy show I've been to in a long time. Kerry King and his new band killed it. Go see them as soon as you can! But the real deal was Lamb of God. We saw them lost year with Pantera, which we a once in a lifetime show. But to see them play their entire Ashes album (and two encores from Sacrament) was something very special. The energy was off the chart and of course Randy Blythe was on point every second of the show. Killer good time!
