Lady B Tickets

This was my first and last time seeing a show at the Robin Hood Dell. What should have turned out to be a unforgettable blast from the past, intead was just a total wash out, and I mean this literally. Ok, so I get it, the Dell is an outdoor venue, but how come they do not scedule rain dates? I purchased 4 tickets at the price of $60.00 a piece and "dog gone it"..........I want a refund!! I was only able to see the beginning part of Big Daddy Kane's performance before the rain started to come down, and the umberallas went up, which completed covered the view of the stage. Not to mention the fact that the jumbo viewers were taken down so we could not even see the show on the screeens. What upsets me the most is that our tickets read that the show would begin at 7pm. We get there and was told that the show would not start until 8pm, however the first person did not hit the stage until 9pm. Needless to say the rain begin to down pour at 9:15pm and the rest is history. We were completely soaked, I woke up the next day with a head cold and I never saw anything past the beginning portion of Kane.

My fiancee and I are concert goers. We go to every concert they have in Philly. This was one of THE BEST SHOWS WE BEEN TO, EVER. Despite the fact that it rained extremely hard and should have been postponed, we enjoyed all of the scheduled artists and all of the surprise artists that showed up. Very great show!

The damn show started a Hour & a half late at an outdoor event and started to rain. when they finally decided to start the show they were talking for about 10 minutes while we we're standing in the rain getting soaked. Then they brought on all these other little acts before the main Artist which would have been fine if it wasn't pouring down raining on us. Get to the main acts Damn It!! I couldn't even see the show because of all the umbrella's in the way, even the big screen showed nothing but umbrella's. I'm writing this review sniffling & sneezing with a head cold now. Had it starded on time we would have got out of there at a decent time before the rain really got bad.

This concert was the best concert I have ever attended. I really was spellbound act after act came on and not only look good but sounded well and performed like seasoned veterans. The rain did not stop 10k people from leaving. I was soaked, my money, wallet, and everything in my wallet is still drying out. Totally awesone evening at the Dell. Fist pump for Lady B, The Dell, Philadelphia, and all the acts that performed that night.

The show would have been fantastic but the weather spoiled it all. I wish the show could have been postponed. I tried to hang in there but it was really raining a lot and I fear it would soon thunder storm. Lady B looked lovely and I was glad to see so many artist come out to celebrate with her.

I've been to 3 ol' skool hip hop shows over the last 2 yrs & I enjoyed this one the most.

The show was fabulous. We danced in the rain for 4 hours...a night to remember .

We need more shows like this. I would gladly sit in the rain again for another show like this.

To start with lets go to the (bad) their was no one out properly parking cars so people was parking wherever trapping others in when they were ready to leave. Next, the concert was an hour late, then they rushed different groups on stage to sing just one song and run off. Plus the lack of security was out so people who proably paid for lawn seats was standing all in front of people who spent money on "good seats". People was all in the aisle making it difficult for others to pass. This was an ole school event, well to pass time while people are waiting for the concert, it would seem that you would play a mixture of ole school music not just rap. Here is the good- Will Smith appeared. Finally the Ugly- The weather was terrible, seats were wet and we just got a sheet of brown paper towel to wipe off the seats. With all the sponsors that was mentioned it seemed like they could have offered absorbent paper towels.

It was an good show despite the rain...alot of surprises and Doug E. Fresh and PE really took it to another level at the end!

The show was excellent even though it rained most of the night I didn't move. The Anniversary seemed to be an anniversary for all the people who follwed Hip Hop from the beginning not just Lady B. We all celebrated together on stage off stage in the parking lot and on the way home. The fans who range from 30 plus years old know exactly the feeling I'm talking about. Everybody partied and sung word for word to songs 20 plus years old. I almost forgot no fighting, no violence, no negative incidents, how often does that happen? Only two things could have made this show better, sunshine and if I was 20 years younger. I was dead tired Monday morning on my way to work.

Although it rained like cats and dogs for some of the night the show was OFF THE HOOK..Dougie Fresh, Fresh Prince and PUBLIC ENEMY!!!!! Ol Skool HIP HOP represented. PHILLY STAND UP!!

Although it started 1 1/2 hr. late in the pouring rain, it was worth every moment. I stayed until the very end. Thank you Lady B for your dedication to us and hip hop. Looking forward to your 40th. LOL!

Even thru the pouring rain. This was the best concert of the summer. All the artist came as promised. I had a really good time. I jumped, screamed & danced the whole night. :) I would do it all again.

Dispite the late start and strong down pour,Lady B's 30th anniversary was awesome! I felt like my parents, listening to Butter Ball on Sundays Oldies but Goodie's show! Special appearance by Will Smith the best! Dougie Fresh killed it!!! What a wonderful night. All shows at the Dell make me proud to be a Philadelphian and sharing our rich history with Lady B was very special :)

I thought the show was fantastic we had a blast. The songs took us back to when we were younger.

Overall, I thought it was good. Robin Hood Dell needs to fix their screens that did not work so if you sat in the back, you could not see any performances. I sat in the middle and had to stand the entire time. I didn't mind but it sucked that you could not see any performances. The mics were bad on Doug E. Fresh and Public Enemy. The line-up was great though.
