    Lacuna Coil was unbelievable!!!

by JeffroBodine on 7/25/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

1st Act "Dommin" Was much better than expected! They were moody, dark with catchy hooks and lyrics that make me want to learn more about them. For an opening act, they really impressed me! 2nd Act "Seventh Void" Hate to say it, but they were too loud (mega feedback was a buzzkill). Liked them towards the end of the set. The tempo picked up, sounded less like Sabbath and more their own sound. The singer's voice was a bit one dimensional for me. 3 Act "Kill Hannah" Weird choice to go on just before LC, but I have to admit that I liked their sound, driving rock, anthem type lyrics and a heavy dose of techno flooding the background. My daughter's in to them and so I was able to add them to my ipod when I got home. Consider me a fan. 4th Act "Lacuna Coil" Loved them since "Comalies", but first time seeing them live. Boy, they rocked the place! Only 2 complaints. First, I wished that they could have played songs from the first two albums (maybe they played something, but it didn't seem like it). Second, I wish that they had played at least 20 minutes longer. It really left me wanting more. I guess I'll just have to count on them coming back around later in the year. All and all a great night. Cool fans (rowdy but not dangerous) great bands and great venue.

    Lacuna Coil

by TheCritic on 7/25/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

Great show! Awesome fan vibe and venue. Many fans enjoyed themselves to a night of fantastic music. The sound was great and so were the coilers who seemed to be very happy with the bands performance. Lacuna Coil delivered again! I will be back. Hopefully next time they find a venue were fans can sit, lounge and/or rock out if they please. Perhaps the Wiltern or one night at the Greek on a Saturday summer night.

    Lacuna Coil was Phenomenal !!!!!

by imikimi on 7/24/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

It would have been tragic to have missed this show....I had never been to House of Blues, Sunset...what an awesome venue to see anyone play... Plenty of room, cool and relaxed vibe, atmosphere as always, with any HOB is the best.... As for the show itself, most enjoyable one i've been to in a while!!!!! Knowing that Lacuna Coil doesn't often tour So Cal too often, made it a must see show. They definately did not disappoint, The show was exhilerating, their energy incredible, they performed for about an hour and a half...I couldn't have asked for a better show!!!!

Lacuna Coil undoubtedly rocked the house - they were wickedly wonderful along with being an absolute world class act ! Fantastic energy, clarity and pure uninhibited rock and roll was what we experienced. The crowed roared ferociously for the rock gods as they seduced us with the infectious rigor that only pure rock and roll can deliver. Cristina and company were also quite easy on the eyes as their beauty and clothing cholces were tantalizing. Their unpretentiousness accompanied by their relentless message of survival is to be celebrated as in the existing dark times we need talented artists like these to help us pull ourselves up from our bootstraps.

    Absolutly Phenominal!

by Alienistic on 7/23/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

Launa Coil put on a great show, was everything I expected and then some. House Of Blues Sunset Strip has got to be the best club-size venue to see a band of this magnitude, not too small not too big, awsome atmosphere. Only complaint is the $10 beers but thats to be expected from any of the clubs on the hollywood sunset strip, premium atmosphere with premium priced drinks to match lol

    Amazing show

by Beyerun on 7/23/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

Cri, Andi, Maus, Maki, CriZ, and Pizza (who comprise Lacuna Coil), put on an amazing show at the HOB. Great lighting, sound, and crowd interaction as usual. Worth the time and effort to go to this show. Security was great. No complaints at all. The flat out killed on stage like they always do. I had a great time!

    Lacuna Coil & Kill Hannah

by Johnny5 on 7/23/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

This was my first time at the House of Blues in Hollwood and I like the fact that it is not as large as some other venues. You can get a lot closer and get an amazing view. Also, I was able to take pictures and video without the security giving me any trouble. All in all, I had a great time.

This was a great show. The band sounded really good. Kill Hanna was one of the opening bands. They were great as well. HOB is one of the best places to see a show. Great sound for a small venue.

Anything But Blue At The House Of Blues

by geeksatlarge on 7/23/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

It was anything but blue at the House of Blues last night! The lineup was Domin, 7th Void, Killing Hannah and Lacuna Coil Headlining. Sometimes, if you're there to see the main act, you don't bother showing up until maybe the act before them. However, being that the first three acts were unknowns to me, I took a chance. I was pleasantly suprised by Domin. You could tell they were sort of fresh, but they had a fairly good lineup of songs and were correctly picked to open the show. Seventh Void was, to me, the low point of the show. They just couldn't get it up. That's always a disappointment when you need it. The big suprise was Killing Hannah. Fresh, vibrant, alive are the words that come to mind. In a six-song-set, two of the songs stuck out. Although I can't remenber the titles, I do remember the impression they made. The lead singer was very good and memorable. That's how you win fans over. What can you say? Lacuna Coil has history. I'm a recent fan through their latest work "Shallow Life" and I'm really impressed by that release. The only complaint I had about the show was that the sound guys didn't seem to have nailed their presentation down quite right. The band, especially Christina, did their part, but the sound crew was flat. All-in-all I would still recommend checking out Lacuna Coil and "Shallow Life". I think the show is headed back to the Chicago area from here. And, for folks that can, check them out. Hopefully, Killing Hanna will still be on the bill since they are from the Chicago area.

by lilililil on 7/23/09House of Blues Sunset Strip - Hollywood

they were awesome live, Christina was gorgeous...I was pleased with her voice, although my only complain is her voice should've been louder, it was kind of drowning out most of the time

Who new that Italy could rock hard and kick ass

by DrSpeed on 7/17/09The Intersection - Grand Rapids

Lacuna Coil was incredible. I don't think I have ever seen a band do that well in a concert setting! That is a tough thing to do. The other three bands, Killing Hannah, Seventh Void, Dommin, also rocked out. Out of those three I think I liked Killing Hannah the most. They reminded me of my favorite band Linkin Park. My friend was the one who got me to go to this concert, and I will say that it is his fault that I am now a Lacuna Coil fan! One last note, I really hope they come back to Grand Rapids again. So we can spread the word about this amazing band all the way from Italy! ALL HAIL LACUNA COIL!

    Unforgettable

by Salute on 7/14/09Beaumont Club - Kansas City

I got to hang out with 3 members of the band afterward, and I would have to say that when you meet one of you favorite bands and they turn out to be cool and down to earth people you tend to like them that much more. I have a lot of respect for this band and I would really like to see their show in Europe.

A slow start but a great finish

by Rammstein on 7/14/09Station 4 - Saint Paul

I have become accustomed to having to wait out some pretty lousy opening acts until the band I came to see takes the stage. I have also left shows early when the warm up band was the reason I bought tickets. While the concept of putting bands with a similar musical style on the same stage for show seems a simple concept it is one that continues to escape the grasp of most concert organizers. The first supporting act, Dommin, actually was an ok start to the night, but it went downhill fast from their. After a very forgetable middle act the 3rd and final opener took the stage. I had heard of kill hannah but had never heard their music before. I don't know what exactly they were going for but if it was metal of any kind, they failed...horribly. If they were going for something else then I just have to say they were at the wrong show. But when Lacuna Coil took the stage the atmosphere instantly changed and it was a metal concert once more. They played a great set, an encore, and stuck around to hang out with a fans after the show. I am always impressed that as their fame continues to grow, the attention they give to their fans remains constant. I would give Lacuna Coil's part of the show 5 out of 5 stars, but since I have seen them at shows with a better overall lineup I can only give the show 4 out of 5 stars.
