LA Clippers History
The Clippers joined the NBA in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves, an expansion team located in Buffalo, N.Y. The franchise selected future star forward Bob McAdoo in 1972 with the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft. He was named NBA MVP in the 1974–75 season, and remains the only player in the history of the Clippers franchise to win that honor.
The franchise, led by new owner Irv Levin, moved to San Diego in 1978 and was renamed as the Clippers. The franchise's stay in San Diego didn't last long. Levin sold the team to Donald Sterling in 1981, and he moved the franchise 120 miles north to Los Angeles.
The Clippers began their best era of success in 2010, when they drafted Blake Griffin with the No. 1 overall pick. One season later, they acquired Chris Paul in a trade with the New Orleans Hornets, and "Lob City" was born. They advanced to the second round of the playoffs that same season, recording their second playoff series win in 36 years. The Clippers followed that by setting a new franchise record with 56 wins in the 2012–13 season, which began a streak of five consecutive seasons with 50 or more wins and a playoff berth.
During the 2022–23 season, the Clippers, led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, again returned to the playoffs. They fell to the Suns in the first round.

Great game. Back and forth lead changes and inspiring end with CP3 basket to win it all!
Chris Paul's game winning shot with 0.1 sec left. The best game I've ever seen!!
What a game for all we Clippers fans! Two more wins, then on to the round 2. Remember the playoffs from last season? We took them in 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Clippers!!!!!!!!
Ticketmaster got me some good seats.! oh yeah. Especially last minute. they came thru. the view. was nice. for cheap there way better than seating on the lower level. recommend.
The game was amazing and Chris Paul made the game winning shot with .01 seconds on the clock. It is always fun to go to a clipper game and the atmosphere is different an better than a laker one. Plus more affordable prices .
GREAT GAME!!! I would go to every Clipper game if possible
Clippers are in it to win it!!!! Every baller did their part. Best game of the season and unforgettable last second shot by CP3
playoff games are always exciting, specially when the team you're routing for wins. it was exciting because the game went down to the last shot, CP3 buzzer beater shot has the whole crowed screaming. the only thing I didn't like was the venue not selling alcohol in the 4th quarter. the 4th quarter is the longest quarter because both team use all their timeouts and specially when it's a close game. maybe alcohol should stop being sold at the 4th quarter with 2 minutes left in the game.
It was amazing!! I loved it! It was my second Clippers game, it was exciting and really fun! You see the Staples Center go crazy when the players do what they do best! The crowd gets really into the game and it is really cool to actually be there! Highly recommended!
We always have a great time watching Clipper games in person. Amazing team work and chemistry among the players; never disappoint.
There is nothing like being a fan and being among other "fan"-addicts to experience the spirit, the emotion, the ambiance of Clipper Fever. I will do it again soon. I will cherish Saturday's game which I attended with my grandson (himself a Clipper's fan since age 4, he's 12 now). Go Lob City Clips!!!
Amazing experience, the energy was electric! The players were so energetic and playing at the top of their game. The crowd showed up for them! It was aweseome to be there for the Clippers!
Great seats, great game, great atmosphere!!! I had a blast. It was my dads first game and we both enjoyed the experience
Process was great and efficient. Fees are high. Great game.
It was an amazing game in an amazing venue and an amazing team!
These sporting events have gotten rediculously expensive! Really not worth the money, but for this/my special occasion, it was well worth it. The "wheelchair" section we sat in was full of non-wheelchair people and the only two wheelchairs were squeezed in with little elbow room, and surrounded by obnoxious fans (not the fault of the function, I know). The handicap section could have been more accomodating for the truly disabled people sitting there.
Always an enjoyable, exciiting experience for basketball fans in Southern California. Just as much purple and gold as Clippers red....glad the Clippers triumphed. I sat on the edge of my seat the entire game. We gave our regular season tickets to a disabled couple who were treated like VIPs by the Staples staff. I didn't want to miss out so my boss was kind enough to buy me another seat.
Great show, great seats...I must come back w Lakers as locals!
Great view ................good game...fun time...
The game and event itself was unbelievable! Coming from the UK, I had no clue about basketball but, you learn fast and end up getting sooooooooooo into it. The game was electric and soooo close. The half-time and time out entertainment was first class. When I head back to LA, will definitely be returning!
