LA Clippers History
The Clippers joined the NBA in 1970 as the Buffalo Braves, an expansion team located in Buffalo, N.Y. The franchise selected future star forward Bob McAdoo in 1972 with the No. 2 overall pick in the NBA Draft. He was named NBA MVP in the 1974–75 season, and remains the only player in the history of the Clippers franchise to win that honor.
The franchise, led by new owner Irv Levin, moved to San Diego in 1978 and was renamed as the Clippers. The franchise's stay in San Diego didn't last long. Levin sold the team to Donald Sterling in 1981, and he moved the franchise 120 miles north to Los Angeles.
The Clippers began their best era of success in 2010, when they drafted Blake Griffin with the No. 1 overall pick. One season later, they acquired Chris Paul in a trade with the New Orleans Hornets, and "Lob City" was born. They advanced to the second round of the playoffs that same season, recording their second playoff series win in 36 years. The Clippers followed that by setting a new franchise record with 56 wins in the 2012–13 season, which began a streak of five consecutive seasons with 50 or more wins and a playoff berth.
During the 2022–23 season, the Clippers, led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, again returned to the playoffs. They fell to the Suns in the first round.

Great game Heat vs Clippers....sat at the very top and if I would have taken a step backwards I would have fallen out of the stadium, lol. Still not a bad seat and I could see all the action. I'll save or hit the lotto to get closer seats. Great atmosphere, staff was professional. Very enjoyable night

Flew all the way from Georgia for my Christmas present to see the Clippers on their home court for my first NBA game. The Staples Center is amazing and watching the Clippers was trully awesome! Only wish I had been allowed to see the court upclose. We got there early and asked and explained this would be the only time we would ever be there and were told no. That was disappointing but the game was great!
Great game all around, but teams played very well but at the end the Clippers took the game after coming back from a 17 points deficit.
Everything was perfect: organization, great game, short lines for food, and restrooms in good conditions.
The seats were perfect, we had nice close view of the game and lob city did their thing and got the win.
I "tagged along" to the Clippers vs. Celtics game because my husband insisted we go as a "family." My daughter and her dad are HUGE fans and I went with an open mind. Wow…once I stepped into the Staples Center I got all hyped up and really got into it once the pre-game festivities started and they announced the starting line-up! So exciting and the vibe in the arena was overwhelming. Then, once the game started and all the dunks from Griffin and Jordan began, I was hooked! They want to go to another game and they can count me in! Go Clippers!!!!!
Clippers and magic are not in the same level. There is no suspense during the game time. I have already known clippers is going to win.

very low queuing time which was wonderful. just a pity the la store was closed at 5pm...and it reopened after the game which i had already exited the building and wasnt allowed in again.
As a visitor from the UK this was my first visit to the Staples Centre.fabulous stadium with good facilities. Seating has tight leg room for someone like me with long legs. Food outlets seemed to run out of a choice of foods? The game was exciting and my family enjoyed it.

awesome! staples center is great, organized and clean, dinning there was not very expensive, it was crowd outside but the lines to get inside didn't take long, one problem was the parking - it was really expensive, i have to look for other parking spots nearby...
We were visiting as tourists and the staff were helpful in facilitating the storage of our bags and gift-wrapped items.
First time i went to a NBA game. Its unbelievable how they experience a sports game in USA (I'm from Europe). So much show and entertainment.
Was seating in section 106 , got the tickets 1/2 off for cyber Friday ,great bargain and the game was great
Great experience! Everything was perfect except for the temperature in the building, it was freazing because of the AC.
Went with the family and seven year old son who plays basketball with the "Y" and he really enjoyed the game , he is of course a Clipper's fan and was very vocal during the game. Good crowd and overall was pleased with the event.
