LA CAGE starring George Hamilton and Christopher Sieber tells the story of Georges (George Hamilton), the owner of a glitzy nightclub in lovely Saint-Tropez, and his partner Albin (Christopher Sieber), who moonlights as the glamorous chanteuse Zaza. LA CAGE is a tuneful and touching tale of one family's struggle to stay together... stay fabulous... and above all else, stay true to themselves!
With a glorious score of hummable melodies and a dynamite cast featuring the "notorious and dangerous Cagelles," LA CAGE is an indisputable musical comedy classic... and this extraordinary new version shows you why!
I felt like I was in Las Vegas at a real show!!!!!!!!!!
La Cage Aux Folles was everything it should have been...Flashy, Outrageous, Fun, Moving and Enjoyable. The evening started with the warm up actor who was hysterical even though most of the audience was older and didn't know what to think of him. I loved it! George Hamilton lacked the singing and dancing skills but made up for it in personality. Christopher Sieber showed exactly why he is a Tony nominated Broadway leading actor. His singing and acting was so impressive. You hurt right along with him during I Am What I am. The other dancers at the club had incredible skills. They also encourage audience participation so that makes it fun as well. Go see it for a fun night out. Make sure you take all your friends that like having a good time!
Just was not very good. Was expecting a show full of cross dressers to be hilarious. However it was not. The songs sounded the same and none were standouts. The actor playing Albin was great though. I hope he gets better roles in the future
Funny, nicely paced, catchy songs. The actor who played the son needs a little work. But the leads were quite strong.
Great production, great cast overall really enjoyed the evening.
Enjoyable. Show doesn't need a celebrity, but George Hamilton was good. Albin/ZsaZsa stole the show!
What a wonderful, fun way to spend the evening! Third time seeing La Cage and loved it all over again!
The show was GREAT!! We really enjoyed it. Albin was amazing
Very fun. Loved it!! Laughed and laughed!! The cast was amazing from the warm up thru the show. I great afternoon or evening! Go and support the Arts in SD!!
Great play would defiantly recommend it to all my friends.
We could hear every word, every song, every bit of the great music!u
Just before the formal start of the play - the character that was warming up the audience was great and it was fun. The whole show was fantastic. We were so glad we went.
AWSOME and fun. don't be late as there is audience interaction before the show and its fun. Everyone could sing exceptionally well and the staging was good. Even ole George was fine, though he can't sing very well and is stiff when dancing but he was perfect for the part.
Loved Christopher Sieber as Albin and George Hamilton was perfect as George. I laughed, cried and cheered with the actors and songs, very touching. Well Done!!
George Hamilton as Georges was fantastic! Who knew he could sing? I must say that Christopher Sieber who played Albin totally stole the show! He played his character to the hilt and I was so impressed with him. I would definitely go see him in other theater productions. All the characters did a bang up job and I would definitely go see this show again.
The show was great and the costumes were awesome!!
Amazing! The acting is good, the music wonderful, and the vocals blow you away. This is my new favorite musical. The cast is truly talented!
I love attending musicals, plays, concerts, and festivals, you name it. This musical though was, by far, the best I've seen in years, if not ever. It's downright hilarious, romantic, and beautiful. It'll leave tears in your eyes. I definitely 100% recommend it. It's a must.
Started off very slow, but Christopher Sieber stole the show. Sorry - George Hamilton was just not believable in the character. Movie was so much better then play. Jean Paul was not believable either. Five Stars for Sieber! I also hope the wine comes out of my shirt after the beach ball hit me. If I was a senior in the front row, might have an insurance claim on production company as I got up my hand in time and hit it away from my face.
Loved the play. Stars and dancers were wonderful. Would recommend seeing it!
