    Amazing Zoo Lights

by Angel on 1/9/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

It was amazing. The price was perfect for how big the light displays were. The displays were absolutely stunning. I will definitely be going again next year. We’ll worth it and by far a great experience.

    Okay

by Mamama on 1/9/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

It was very cold. I wish they would have had at least some heaters. It was a nice little walk with the family. The kids loved the lights. I just wish there would have been some kind of show to see. There were really no love animals we got to see other than the reptiles at the lair and some birds.

by Ebi on 1/8/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

It was kind of magic really enjoyed the lights and the whole holiday’s atmosphera, just wished we were wearing warmer clothes. It gets very cold at night there

    Great experience

    by Ivonne18 on 1/8/22

It was mine and my boyfriends first time going and it was such a great experience. There’s food and drink stations throughout the whole zoo. The lights are beautiful and all the staff is very nice and welcoming. Defined recommend.

    Need better signage

by tastik1 on 1/6/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Excellent display. Very enjoyable. 1. Signage should be better. Each exhibit should have a big number which corresponds to the numbers in circles on the map which is handed out. Hard to follow where one is on the path. 2. A couple of healthier food options would be nice. Fresh fruit or juice. Healthy grains.

    Socially Distanced Wonderland

by MARI on 1/6/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Loved this! My partner and I set a goal to hit every local lightshow this year and by far this one was our favorite! Loved the pandemic-safety measures outside and all the snack stations across the event. The reptile house could've used a little more instruction or guidance for guests once we were inside but all in all I really enjoyed it! The lights were gorgeous, and I feel like the right amount of effort and attention went into making it special, from the individually lit roses to the light up tiger

    Wonderful display of lights

by Charm on 1/5/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

This was my first time attending LA Zoo lights, even though I have been a GLAZA member on and off over the past 5 years. My family and I enjoyed walking through sections of the zoo and seeing so many beautiful and colorful light displays. It’s great for all ages but just remember that it is a lot of walking and there are specific entry times so make sure you plan accordingly. My kids were in the stroller most of the night and with the cold weather, you have to pack accordingly with all the warm gear needed.

    Not what I expected

by Djidji on 1/5/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

The ticket is way overpriced for just some xmass lights overall. Only 3 settings were cool and a “light show” but rest of it is just hmm regular lights. Not worth it, except if you are 2 yrs old

    Pretty but PACKED

by FunBears on 1/4/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

The lights were beautiful! It would have been more fun for us if it hadn't been PACKED. Every line was crazy long for food and drinks, and in the freezing cold with impatient kids, it was hard trying to get anything. If you were walking around with strollers or wagons, you had to navigate some serious congestion and a lot of people who don't seem to see you are there (or don't care). I'd rather you charge a bit more and sell out of tickets and keep it comfortable for those who are paying to be there than to try and pack it in with literally everyone in a 3-hour timeframe.

    LA Zoo light was great!

by Hikky on 1/4/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

My family enjoyed LA Zoo light on New Year day! There was a long line before getting into the entrance but moved quickly. It was just good amount of walk for my 10 years old boy, not too long or not too short. We enjoyed the music, beautiful lighting, and wonderfully festivities of the Zoo. Loved it!

    So LA Zoo: ugh

by Dotting Dad on 1/4/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

What a snore & bore. So LA Zoo. Los Angeles should have a San Diego equivalent but alas, we have this hot mess. It does prove that saying build it and they will come-good our not. Doesn’t say much about the public’s inelegance. Don’t expect animals. Don’t expect anything more than sporadic Instagram spots. So blah.

    Not worth it

by Afern on 1/4/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

They don’t even enforce the vaccination you can present a blank piece of paper and they’ll let you go in and it was damn over crowded didn’t even have the space to walk, lights were not even that fascinating or out of the normal

    Fabulous event!

by RK on 1/2/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Took my friend from Australia to see the lights and she and I were beyond happy with what we saw. We were thrilled that we had purchased tickets prior to showing up as the line to buy them was out of sight. We just walked right in at 6 pm and the park was quite empty. Later in the evening, the park was filled. Would highly recommend the venue and event.

    Just lights

by Goran on 1/2/22Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

So no animals to be seen, Lots of mariah Carey music blasting loudly, lot of lights. Not sure if that is all worth it. I have seen Xmas streets that gave better light shows.

    Funtastic

by decanus on 12/31/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Spectacular lighting and many opportunities for family photos. I would have enjoyed it thoroughly had I not been freezing-- but can't blame the Zoo for the weather.

    Very pretty

by Sparky on 12/31/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Beautiful lights! I just wish there were more. When I bought the tickets I imagined the whole zoo lit up but they only lit up some of it and many areas were blocked off. This would be great for families with small children.

    Disappointing and Too Expensive

by J on 12/30/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

The light display was disappointing aside from the tunnels at the end. Overly crowded, disorganized at the entrance, and too expensive for the experience.
