    Unorganized lines

by TM on 11/23/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Entrance was poorly organized. Crowd was overwhelmed. Ridiculous wait amount. You would imagine families come with children. The highlight was the carousel. Poor employees were overwhelmed with the large Amount of crowd everywhere. Signs were not clear.

    Crowded

by Aurora on 11/23/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Super crowded with no crowd control. Took 20 minutes to even find which line to get in. There were not enough barricades set up for queueing. Only one security guard directing the crowd. After finding the end of the line it took 45 minutes to get inside. Then it was so crowed it was hard to walk. All for really mediocre lights.

Just a place for Instagram pictures

by ToddlerFamily on 11/23/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

I visited with my two toddlers who are 3 and 4 years old. I expected more activities, maybe a performance, characters, music? But it’s just a lot of lights and people taking pictures. Literally everyone is just taking pictures and you see everyone uploading them on social media. I was expecting something a little different.... If you’re hoping for a new IG photo tear place to visit.

    Better than expected

by Sid on 11/23/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Was unorganized at the Entrance. Staggered entry so multiple lines and employees were confused. They finally figured it out and line went pretty quickly. Once inside we really enjoyed our experience. My 3 year old had a great time. We saw an elephant from a distance and he was in awe. He was a trooper and dint want to leave. So very much improved from years past.

    Turned Away At The Door

by K. S. on 11/23/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

As ticket holders, we were not notified the vaccination policy changed for this event. We waited 45 minutes with 2 toddlers and they refused us entry. The team claimed the vaccination policy was included on every email about this event, which is not true. I went back and looked at every email from Glaza and from Ticketmaster regarding the L.A. Zoo Lights, and vaccination information was not provided. There was a Glaza newsletter, which I didn't read because the communication was not about the L.A. Zoo Lights, which stated the vaccination policy had changed. But this is not the same as informing a ticket holder what would be required. I am heartbroken and will be withdrawing all support from L.A. Zoo.

    Pleasant experience

by Zoo Zoo on 11/23/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Highlights: 1. We really like the lights of tunnel and carousel for $3 per ride. 2. We also like the Caramel popcorn and hot coca! 3. Zoo staffs passed out a tiny snowman squishy to kids. 4. There were lots of parking spaces and is free. Improvement: 1. We were confused where to line up to enter the zoo. It was very crowded. 2. We loved the little Christmas town decoration, but if more snow effect were added would be even better! 3. We think more light decorations should be added to Elephant exhibit section. 4. After member discount and service charge is about $16 per person. The price increased compare to couple years ago. Overall, is a pleasant experience! Visitors and zoo staffs were friendly and well manner. It would be a great exercise for whole family - lots of walking!

    It was ok

by Cecii on 11/23/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Line was extremely long, they did said proof of vaccination was required to enter event but from what I saw the staff was not really paying attention to that detail they were just trying to get everyone inside, lights look like something you can see at a neighborhood for no cost, there was not a “wow” moment,I’m glad I went to check off item from bucket list but will not go back again.

    Zoo Lights Fun

We took all the grandkids (and their parents) to the Zoo lights, it was beautiful and loads of fun. Will definitely make this an annual outing.

    Excellent experience….for kids

by JNet on 11/23/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

I didn’t know what to expect and the Zoo did a lovely job with the lights, shops, and concessions. Since it’s at night, all the animals are asleep (save one elephant in the distance). I would not recommend standing in line for the reptile pavilion as all the enclosures are dark and people just shine their phone lights into them to try and see things. Overall very fun for kids.

    Date night

by Couples date night on 11/23/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

It was overall a great place to get out of the house. But my kids wanted to see animals but they were all sleeping and there enclosures were completely dark. It seems more romantic than kid friendly.

Cute activity to pass the time

by marlen_town on 11/22/21Los Angeles Zoo - Los Angeles

Very festive and beautiful set up! It took us about 30 minutes to see the entire installation. It was less extensive than I imagined, so a shorter walk. Great to visit with family or friends or hang out. Otherwise, it’s pricy for a short time but r spent there.
