Mini stage: was mainly boring, catching just a few singles i know from the vaguely interesting Passion Pit. The good news is they faced the walkway so you could listen to it all from afar - which was better on the ear drums as the bass was sometimes too much and overpowered any tune / vocals / melody that might have been present.
Main stage: Dirty Heads seemed a Sublime tribute band - i was bored, I enjoyed Cage the Elephant more than most - crazy high energy and raw sound that might have been better at a small venue, Spoon was tight but boring, Silversun Pickups were interesting, Paramore was a guilty pleasure and fun, DEVO was totally amazing and somehow still ahead of their time, Hole was great and I wasn't expecting the entertainment I got - loved it - very happy I have now seen them/her live, STP blew our minds and I have never heard a crowd chant anything (lyrics, band name) so loud before - they were in top-notch form and we feel like for the rest of our lives we'll get to say 'yup, we saw them live' - we left as Sublime started, fun party music and the old stuff will always be great classics, but I didn't think it was the highlight of the day by far.
Food / parking / merchandise all good, i'm pleased with the organization etc.
