Kris Allen is just as adorkable as I remember him from American Idol. I really enjoyed this show. Kris has a beautiful voice, excellent band, and puts on an amazing show. Definitely go see him if you have the chance.

    Weird venue, great show!

by OutlandoGirl on 2/13/13The Canyon - Agoura Hills

I'm not a fan of sit-down concerts, nor $25 minimum orders to get the best seats (on top of higher ticket prices) but it was all worth it to see Kris Allen. He's amazingly talented and the show was really good. He and his band sing an a capella version of Garth Brooks' The River that is mind blowing!! The venue is very odd and basically encourages people to sit and politely clap. But the crowd got into the music by the end, standing and dancing. The two opening acts, Zak Waters and Harley Jay, were really, really good. Better than you'd expect for opening bands. Go see Kris Allen anytime you can. Go to the Canyon Club for shows you don't mind sitting for.

This was my first time seeing him live. He is such an amazing performing. Even though he was not able to play guitar, his band did a stellar job. Such a great show!

    Awesome full acoustic sound

by Anonymous on 1/27/13State Theatre - St Petersburg

Kris Allen has improved greatly as a singer and performer since idol.. I've always been a huge fan of his voice and style- the sound was amazing live and better than any album could produce. He needs to promote way more because I only luckily found out the day before that he was in town..but then again the smaller concert made for a closer view and more personal event. Wouldn't miss this show for anything. Jillette Johnson? His tour partner is also very good.

    Kris Allen was OUTSTANDING

by BobLeeRobida on 1/24/13State Theatre - St Petersburg

Kris Allen's concert was superb. While I am a gent in my 60's, I have been following American Idol for all seasons...and Kris Allen was one of my favorites from his first performance. Then, after his selection as American Idol, I was privileged to meet him in person during the Idol Tour--in Memphis. I have followed him since and am pleased with the quality and sincerity of his singing and music. He really has matured since his Idol Days....and I would abosolutely go see him again if the opportunity presents itself.

Kris was awesome and has such a great voice. We loved the opening singer Rachel Taylor too, her songs were fantastic and her voice so beautiful. We would love to hear her play again!

Kris was absolutely amazing. A true artist/musician. Even with his injured arm and the fact that he could not play the instruments, that he is so good at, he captured his audience. The harmony piece that he did with the band was my favorite!!

    Kris Allen

by 45Tom on 1/11/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Eight days after a head-on collision that sent him to the hospital, sporting a cast for his broken wrist, I was unsure how it would impact his performance. He absolutely rocked, with a voice coming from deep within his soul and smooth moves and playful banter. Please come back to Boston again Kris, we want more!

    Best Concert I've Been To!

by Adam8263837 on 1/11/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Brighton Music Hall was a great venue. There weren't too many people, so the concert was very intimate and oriented toward the fans. Kris Allen was amazing to see live! His music is catchy and fun, and his band complimented him perfectly. I would recommend seeing him to anyone!! Kris Allen is one of my favorite American Idol winners!

    Discovering Someone New

by DannyPauSilverl on 1/11/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

I went to the Kris Allen concert and have to say, he was "nice". Wish his band was as good as his voice, his transparent and generous personality. His songs were ok, but again, he is better and I imagine in time, if surrounded by and inspired by real characters, real talent, he is going to develop and grow, well past his American Idol beginnings. The real surprise was the result of showing early and instead of the usual unrecognizable, forgettable, opening artist, we were greeted by a richly talented, fresh and familiar songs of Rachel Taylor, from Boston. She had a great group musicians around her that helped her present her songs without cliche. Jesse Russell on cool bass and vocals. She trades her new EP for email. I know is name because he played on the EP. I can't wait to see her again. I LIKED Her FaceBook page too. I am hoping Boston can launch a new artist. I think she is different enough to standout and talented enough to engage new fans everywhere... Oh style, hmmm not pop, not country, not folk, not rock, not jazz, hmmm I need to keep listening cause I'm not sure, but I like Rachel Taylor, she connected with me and seem to with everyone else who were equally happy to Discover someone new who is really really really good. Way to go MUSIC HALL and Kris Allen,! Thank you for introducing me to Rachel Taylor

    Kris Allen was great!

by Lensterboston on 1/11/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Kris Allen, even with his right arm in a cast and sling, and thus unable to play the guitar, was still able to put on a fun and enjoyable show. He seemed genuinely excited to be performing, and I really appreciated that he tried to make it an intimate experience with the audience (e.g., speaking to individuals, bringing up a couple of girls who were celebrating their birthdays, interacting with the audience throughout the night). He mostly sang songs from his second album, but did sing a few from his first (Red Guitar, Live Like We're Dying), as well as a few covers. His band sounded great. I also enjoyed his opening act (Jilette Johnson).

    Mind-blowing

    by sahsouha1 on 8/19/10Borgata, - Atlantic city

Kris Allen is fantastic live, super talented, amazing, powerful, angelic voice, incredible confidence and connection with the audience, facinating-tight band of a very talented musicians, he puts on an amazing-super entimate show, no matter how big the venue is, extreemly funny, witty & smart artist, he grabs your attention, and controls your senses & pulls u back to the stage from moment 0 to 100, not for a moment that you can get distracted by anything other then him there, singing along with him in this fantastic musical journey, from the first moment- till the last, when you discover that the show has ended & you are yerning for more. Kris album is incredible, but Kris live is phenominal, there are people who said that his live performance is much much more and he sounds better than the album, how rare is that. Kris ALLEN CONCERT is a mind-blowing experience, if you missed it you are really missing on life. Highly recommended.

    Kris Allen

by lh1216 on 7/21/10Moody Gardens Outdoor Amphitheater - Galveston

This was our first concert at Moody Gardens, it was moved inside due to weather but was still an amazing show. Kris Allen is awesome in concert and I would highly recommend one of his concerts to anyone. In my opinion American Idol made a big mistake by promoting the 2nd place winner and not Kris but we all see how that worked for them. Congratulations Kris on a job well done!

    Wish it lasted longer!

by ilovepink25 on 7/5/10Moody Gardens Outdoor Amphitheater - Galveston

The title of this concert was "Kris Allen with Special Guest Sister Hazel", yet they both sang for 1 hour each. I wish Kris had sung longer than an hour, because he was the main reason I went to the show. Everything ran late for some reason, so I wish they had cut a song from Sister Hazel instead of rushing Kris - thus there was no encore. Also, the venue was not that big and I wish he would have done a meet and greet afterwards. Sister Hazel did it at their merchandise table in between their act and Kris's.
