    Kreator is Unbelievable

by hmdaverf on 3/17/10Bluebird Theater - Denver

Every time I see them they just sound absolutely out of this world and with a great set list.

    Kreator ruled.

by Dsnuff on 3/17/10Bluebird Theater - Denver

Basically, Lightning Sword of Death had crappy sound and were not very enjoyable, but, lazarus AD, as usual, was awesome and had good pits. Evile had a good response, and it was well deserved, not too shabby. Kreator was the absolute best, though. One of the sickest shows I've been to. Great pits for Kreator.

    Kreator, Breathtaking!

    by Sayerahlee on 3/14/10Eagles Club/The Rave/Eagles Ballroom - Milwaukee

The show was just Unbelievable. Everything was perfect, except for the sound crew. They don't know what a midhigh is. Ha. Kreator was flawless. The encore was awesome. The crowd's energy at the end for Kreator was just amazing. Perfect Thrash show. Lazarus, Evile, and Kreator; all made the night amazing.

    Voivod/Kreator creative combo

by Cavinit on 3/11/10Nokia Theatre Times Square - New York

Kreator, March 6, 2010. At the Nokia Theater A Death Metal scruffy crowd of growing youngsters took to the show tonight. And the music hit like a bullet. The first performance was kind of a sludge unintentionally. Not hollow though from the singer. Slow rolling sound flattens me. The band needed a parking spot said the singer of this intentionally old- school, spanking- new band . Same, same, same new/old thrash metal. All sorts of T-shirts, even Prong. I got a kick out of that one. The second band is from the U.K. whose people love the U.S.A. and should know where they are. More old- school. The bands are more growlingly saying the words to the song. Not too much can be comprehended though. We’re Kreator tonight. The third band of the night is Nachtmystium. It’s tight Black Metal. Pretty. From Chicago, not Europe. What I hear is O.K., positively. The singer says growling, “Die.” More and it’s really good. Fast notes. Noisy with the guitar. One is wearing a Motorhead t-shirt and guitar sound is of what might be a motor between songs. Now I know. Voivod is on. And it’s fun from the first song on. Blacky is played by Blacky and introduced to us as him. The new giuitarist is a damn good one, Dan Mongrain, and he plays Piggy D’Amour’s complicated parts really well. I hope he works for a record on new stuff with the band. I would just do something different from Piggy’s playing and try not to copy him. He looks kind of similar to Piggy so this might not happen on their record. I hear The Unknown Knows, and for the next ones I hear a lot of older songs then a new one, Old, old, old, heh, heh. The general gist or the show was sort of a punk/metal from Katorz. Song 4 a new one 4 funny, 5 fun punk 6 punk fast guitar. All in all fun but still mostly metal. Denis a little to silly for me but for real. Tribal Convictions sends me into a happy fit, played well and more played well. And even more played well following. I want more. They were just warming up and reaching that certain way a band plays when great. And Denis says they have to play a short set. Both these last two bands weren’t on long enough. Kreator rips out on us. The old school is a little older than young old school. Mille has aged.Vision: they know he’s Randy Rhodes but he is not supposed to be. But this is not Ozzy it’s way better and he’s not dead except when he’s not thinking it. The style is thud-like. Germany is as good a country as the U.S. now. Notes from the mosh pit: You just don’t think about broken bones happening to you. The song: Phobia. Don’t be a wimp. “Enemy Of God.” No kidding but not many do it right. A real thundering band. It is fun to hear the words. Kreator feels good the pain is not completely endless. But it is mostly there Mille. I feel nothing. Pleasure To Kill is now-classic! The set is well played and the whole place got involved. The pit was friendly and it was like some kind of ritual. As the band made it happen.” I want to hear you!”I want them to shut up and this song might do it. Thunder thumps this time - Extreme Agression. Since 1985 and more. It’s great but I can use a song more different than the others. Well thundering stomps is the recipe for tonight because I’m writing during the last, final, kaput song. And the last words “Thunderous Storm ?” said Mille Petrozza, Ventor, Sami Yii Sirnio, and Christian Geisler. Good, but not enough variation. I can’t do it for a million years though. It’s good and it’s their original sound.

Kreator at the Nokia Theatre NYC

by efiore on 3/9/10Nokia Theatre Times Square - New York

Went to a five band show at the Nokia Theatre on 3/6/10. What a beautiful venue, many different bars and a sandwich counter. Big video screens everywhere, in case you were away from the floor. A top notch club, believe it could hold 2,000 people or so. The first band was LAZARUS A.D. from Wisconsin and they seemed pretty impressive. Real good drummer and lead guitar player. They played about a half-hour set and seemed pretty seasoned for a young band. The second act was EVILE from the U.K. and I thought they were excellent. Drummer was great and the band sounded tight. I dug their set a lot. The third act was NACHT MYSTIUM and they were heavy as hell. More textural and atmospheric than the first two acts. Not my bag, but pretty solid group. VOIVOD was the band I paid to see and they didn't let me down. Dan Morgain took over from Piggy and didn't miss a note. Too short a set, but it was a varied playlist that included "VOIVOD", "RIPPING HEADACHES", "TORNADO" and "ASTRONOMY DOMINE" as the highlights. KREATOR was the headliner and they were heavy as hell. Good tight set from them, but I just preferred VOIVOD. Great show all around.

The opening bands were ok, but Kreator was great

by KreatorofDoom on 3/5/10Trocadero - Philadelphia

Lazarus AD opened things up, but they just seemed too traditional too me. Evile was better, but nothing special. Nachtmystium opened up with a few terrible songs, but they got better at the end. Voivod was nothing special, and the setlist was far too long. It was worth going, however, simply for Kreator. They were spectacular, and I would recommend this show to all of my friends, but only because of Kreator.

    Kreator and Voivod Trocodero Philadelphia

by Billyaxe on 3/5/10Trocadero - Philadelphia

Both these bands are legendary in the metal world. Voivod, who rarely tours the US was the big highlight. Both bands played their best songs and put on a good show. The only downsode was that they had 5 bands crammed into a show with a venue curfew of midnight. So the sets were all shortened. But other than that this venue has decent sound and great sightlines.

    KREATOR!

    by dty06 on 3/5/10Trocadero - Philadelphia

Absolutely amazing show. I got there around 6:30, doors opened at 7, show started at 7:30. I got in and went right to the rail. Didn't leave until the show was over. First band to play was Lazarus A.D. They were really good and there was a pit going on the first song. Never seen that from an opening band before. They had a short set (3-4 songs) but kicked ass. 4.5/5 Second band was Evile, another great band. They sounded good, put on a good show and the crowd really enjoyed it. 5/5 Third band was Nachtmystium, who were the loudest band of the night (for some reason their volume was higher than everyone else's, including Voivod and Kreator). They were good, the crowd responded well and it was overall a good set. I'd call it the low point of the night, but if that's the low point, I'm definitely not going to complain. 4/5 Fourth band was Voivod. They put on an incredible show (as was expected) and despite the fact that their hair is getting a bit gray, they rocked like they were 20. 5/5 Fifth and final band was Kreator, the band I had come to see (Voivod, Evile and Lazarus A.D. were just bonuses, really). They come on and all hell breaks loose. Haven't had this much fun at a concert since Overkill in 2007. Awesome show, non-stop pit and i'm always awe-struck that Mille Petrozza, the vocalist/guitarist, always points out this one guy that's at every show. He's gotta be nearing 60 but he goes out every time, right on the rail. Absolutely amazing. Anyway, they played a great set, a few newer tracks (i think 4 from the Violent Revolution through Hordes of Chaos albums) but mostly older ones. Highlight of the night, no doubt. 6/5

    Kreator & Voivod @ Jaxx

Last night show was insane! Not a big fan of Voivod but they put on a damned good show and Kreator.... let's just say INSANE! Jaxx is a great place and these bands were awesome so if you get a chance to see this tour, take it!

Can't believe I'm saying this but it was way too long! 5 opening acts is way too much! Kreator was great but they should've come on earlier (even with the 5 opening acts they were 40 minutes late to start) and played for longer. Luckily I didn't have work the next day...

    Kick ass thrash show!

by bikertom on 3/4/10Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield

I haven't seen this pairing since 1987 in Washington DC so it was fun to relive it last night! I was disappointed that Voivod didn't have more stage space, but other than that, Voivod and Kreator were awesome! The mosh pit was very active! I did make the mistake of thinking it would be a typical late schedule club show, but it ran on time; so make sure you get there at the published time if you want to see the opening acts (I missed all but one of them). There was also a ton of "merch" items for sale for all the bands.

Last show of the Kreator/Exodus tour

by Nexis on 7/17/09Jaxx Nightclub - Springfield

Kreator and Exodus were fantastic, their usual thrashing selves. Warbringer was definitely the defining band of the show, though. They brought the house down with a vengeance.

    Thrash Metal!!!!!!!!!

by Rikel on 7/13/09Masquerade - Atlanta

I had a blast seeing Exodus legends of Bay Area Thrash, Kreator masters of German thrash, and the new band Warbringer. All three bands had tons of energy on stage and I hope they come back to Atlanta to fulfill that exciting night once again. I can not emphisis how much fun I had seeing Exodus and Kreator under one bill it was worth my time and money. For crying out loud it is Exodus and Kreator in one freaking show it does not get any better than that. Both bands played all their classic songs and new songs. Exodus played alot of songs from Bonded By Blood, Fabulous Disaster, and other albums. Kreator played alot of songs pretty much the same songs from Live Kreation.
