Korn in Concert
Since 1993, Korn has pushed boundaries, combining traditional heavy metal with elements of hip-hop, grunge, and alternative rock. They are considered pioneers of the Nu Metal genre, and the band's founders name the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Faith No More as their earliest influences. Korn's ignition of the Nu Metal spark inspired a long list of performers to create within the genre. Examples include Coal Chamber, Slipknot, and Limp Bizkit. Korn released their twelfth studio album, The Serenity of Suffering, on October 21, 2016. Guitarist Brian "Head" Welch has said that the album is "heavier than anyone's heard us in a long time". Korn promoted this release during their 2017 tour, The Serenity of Summer. Other Korn tours include 2013's The Reunion Tour with Head, 2011's The Path of Totality Tour, the 2010 Ballroom Blitz Tour, the 2009 Escape from the Studio Tour, the 2007 Bitch We Have a Problem Tour, the 2005 See You on the Other Side World Tour, the 2002 Untouchables Tour, and the 2000 Sick and Twisted Tour. In addition, Korn's recurring Family Values Tour took the band across the United States in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2006, and 2007. In 2013, Korn resurrected the Family Values Tour as a one-day Family Values Music Festival. Listening to a recording is nothing like being at a Korn show, no matter how loud the stereo goes. Fans go to live performances again and again to feel the powerful music pulse through their bodies. They often comment on the consistent energy and passion in Korn live performances, and venues are typically packed. Expect to be on your feet the entire time, and keep an eye out for the mosh pit that always forms right in front of the stage. Shows are a mix of new and old, including long-time favorites such as Shoots and Ladders, No Place to Hide, Freak on a Leash, and Here to Stay. Korn has won numerous awards, including two Grammys and two MTV Video Music Awards.
Korn's founding members, James Shaffer, Reginald Arvizu, and David Silveria, started working together under the name L.A.P.D. They were based in Oakland, California. The group moved to Los Angeles, where they released two albums. After adding Brian Welch and Jonathan Davis, they renamed the band Korn and started recording at Underground Chicken Sound. By 1993, Korn played gigs fairly consistently, and they attracted the attention of Epic Records. This led to the release of their first demo album, Neidermayer's Mind, which was popular with fans who were excited about their unique sound.

Very good concert. Every band pur on a good show and played wuite long sets. Korn came out for a 4 song encore. My wife and I had an excellent time
I swear, this show brought me right back to being 16 all over again. The band, the energy, the sound…. it all hit like a wave of pure nostalgia and adrenaline. Korn still knows exactly how to tap into that raw emotion that made us fall in love with them in the first place. From the first sound of that iconic ride cymbal intro to the last scream, the crowd was electric. Like a sea of people who all seemed to feel that same rush of connection and release. The sound was heavy, tight, and somehow even more powerful live than I remembered. You could feel every bassline in your chest, every lyric in your gut. There was something healing about it too. Like all the angst, the chaos, and the memories tied to those songs came full circle in that one night. It got me right in the feels. I’ll never forget this show. Goosebumps just thinking about it.
Old dudes given’er and having a good time. Great show.
Easy to get parking. Helpful staff to find your seat. Great sound.
From the security at the door, the hosts helping you to your seats and the people at merch, it was a positive experience. I love this venue, basically can see perfectly from most seats in the house and Korn obviously, did not disappoint. Incredible stage presence, crowd participation and just the absolute best energy. I went with my husband, 70 year old mother (who would not stop smiling), my son and his bestfriend.
Awesome show, Korn killed it. The sound was terrible for the first 6 songs in the upper bowl, and then they managed to dial it in. Also, it was so hot in the building could have turned on the AC or something.
Just the whole concert was done to perfection and was absolutely amazing. Thanks to Gojira for doing a meet and greet.
Korn’s performance was amazing. Gojira’s set was excellent as well. My only complaint is that my side stage view was obscured by a large speaker tower and a stage hand without notice for Korn. This was my first time getting to see Korn (long awaited), so it was a bit disappointing to say the least that I could only see the artists when they came out to the front 4’ of the stage. The playlist was exactly what I wanted to hear, playing mostly old classics pre 2000’s. Gojira had a different set up and was not obscured at all so it was great! Normally tickets with obscured view are noted at time of purchase. These were not. Do better Ticketmaster.
Korn ripped a show like no one else! Amazing to see them so close to home.
