Knoxville Symphony Orchestra Tickets

Excellent show, It must be seen to be appreciated. The Philharmonic orchestra played perfectly in tune with the movie.

Third time seeing KSO but first pops concert with the movie soundtrack. I would go to these regularly if they were available. Would be neat for the KSO to do more of these.

The KSO's performance of the Star Wars score was terrific. It was interesting to hear the score I have heard too many times performed live. Certain instruments were more audible than in the recorded LSO performance from 1977, giving a different perspective on the music. The live score adds a dramatic element to the film viewing experience. Conversely, I dread any KSO performance I have to see at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. I will forever resent the commission's decision to renovate the rather than demolish the Civic Coliseum/ Auditorium. The room swallows the sound coming off the stage rendering the performance thin and less powerful than it might otherwise be. I realize in order to afford to bring events such as live film score performances to town the largest possible venue is required, but it does detract from the overall presentation of the performance. For years I was skeptical of the live film score performances as they seemed gimmicky, but having attended the performance of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban with my child a few years back, my attitude was turned around. I would recommend attending one of these events to everyone who is a fan of cinema and especially the art of the film score.

It was a great performance. We loved it. KSO is always wonderful!

The KSO really sounded amazing. It was so on point, so smooth, that at times I was so fixated on the screen, lost in the atmosphere, that I forgot they were playing, as if I were in a zone, hearing the perfectly recorded soundtrack to A New Hope, except it was perfectly present and clear.

The orchestras performance was excellent, couldn't have asked for more! Bravo! The auditorium was too warm, however. A family member in the upper balcony left feeling ill until he could get outside and cool down.

Wowzer! What a great experience! We both had an amazing time listening to the symphony play Star Wars a new hope. It was like seeing the movie for the first time. I a caught case of the goosebumps because the music played by a live orchestra was magic! I had the best time! Thank you Knoxville Symphony!!

KSO provided a spectacular performance! A wonderful way to introduce Symphony to a wider audience.

This was an amazing event for me and my wife. Loved the symphony orchestra as always. We had a wonderful time at this event. The audience got involved with the movie and the music. The only negative thing is that they need more restrooms for an event like this.

As usual, the KSO performance was excellent and professionally delivered. And all the supporting cast and performers were also very enjoyable and contributed to the total enjoyment of the performance.

From the beginning to the end, each musical rendition surpassed the previous one. Every member of our party commented on the quality, professionalism, and, sheer joy produced by the music. There were many "Merry Christmases"which served to remind all as to the reason for celebrating the birthday of the Babe. Thank you KSO for providing such a pleasant Christmas event. Merry Christmas to all!!

No better way to welcome Christmas. Loved the Old English theme.

Music and song was very good but we enjoyed the past theme over the old English theme. However it was still enjoyable.

What a delight it was to experience the enthusiasm and talent of the Knoxville Symphony, along with the joyful and inspiring voices of the Symphony Chorus and the Symphony Youth Chorus , for the 37th Annual Clayton Holiday Concert. Joined by Modern Dance Primitive Light and the Web School Madrigal Singers, they all combined to provide a heartwarming and enriching holiday experience.

The symphony was the best concert that we have attended. Great talent and incredible energy! Wish it had been longer!

This was our first experience with the KSO since month to eastern TN from Fort Worth, TX. Although a bit smaller than the FWSO the sound was rich and full bodied. The conductor was very energetic and animated. The presence of the youth song and dace group. All in all a very pleasurable experience.
