First visit to Tennessee Theater. Concert was delightful. Just excellent. Enjoyed every minute.
We LOVE listening to the orchestra play the soundtrack to our favorite films! We’re always in awe when we see and witness the sheer perfection with which they bring such fond, fun-filled moments to life. Watching them perform the score for Home Alone was a magical way to kick off the holiday season, and the added bonus of the LMU and Carson-Newman choruses were the icing on the cake! Such an amazing experience!
Love all the talent in Knoxville! They definitely made the movie come alive.
We had a great night watching one of our all-time favorite movies and listening to the beautiful Knoxville symphony Orchestra play along. Also enjoyed all the laughs and giggles
Merging the Knoxville Symphony's performance of John Williams' score for the movie "Home Alone"was excellent and very enjoyable. The musicianship and seamless blending with the visual scenes of the movie were astounding. Congratulations on a perfect evening's entertainment.
Amazing!! Both the orchestra and choir were fabulous! Beautifully done. They brought out the magic of the Christmas season and made the movie come alive. Definitely recommend it for the experience and family fun. Everyone in the audience were in their Christmas sweaters and full of the joy and child like spirit throughout the performance. Will repeat this event for next year. Thank you!
The first time I heard the Firebird live other than a recording and it was wonderful. The orchestra and the conductor were brilliant. It was a magical experience. Thank you.
Everything was beautiful. The experience is one that I will never forget.
Absolutely amazing! Such a beautiful performance. I would definitely buy tickets again
What a wonderful performance by the KSO in collaboration with Serpentine Fire. Look forward to many more performances like this.
The first performance in the Knoxville Symphony’s Concertmaster Series had the audience enthusiastically clapping and merited its standing ovation. Staub’s violin mastery excellas. He chose an exciting program of some familiar and some unfamiliar pieces, concluding with Dvorak’s beautiful Piano Quintet. The Knoxville Museum of Art provided a lovely venue for the evening. We will definitely attend these performances whenever we are in Knoxville.
The classical pianist who performed the Mozart concerto on the program was absolutely world class! And very ably accompanied by the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. You made our day!
Venue was beautiful with parking close by. Stairs were a bit of a challenge for 2 people in our party. Overall we had a wonderful time and enjoyed the added bonus of being able to greet orchestra members after the performance.
Had front row seats for the Knoxville Symphony at the Tennessee theater for their Gershwin and Beethoven program. Pianist Natasha Paremski was the soloist for George Gershwin’s Concerto, in F major for piano and orchestra . She was brilliant! The second half of the program was Beethoven’s fifth Symphony, in C Minor. Aram Demirjian Conducted the symphony without the musical score. Amazing!
Made a special effort to schedule my visit from MO when the symphony was playing—it paid off!
Although I grew up in a small town outside of Knoxville, for years now I have been living in the Pacific NW. Now I am able to spend at least half the year back home in TN, and on Friday my husband and I attended the Knoxville Symphony for the first time. It was absolutely delightful! We happily look forward to many more visits in the future. Both the choir and the orchestra were outstanding.
My first symphony. Didn’t know what to expect. Blew me away. Already looking forward to attending again. 🎶
The KSO and Michael Cavanaugh performing the Music of Elton John were simply amazing! Michael had a great grasp of the of nuances of Elton John's voice and burned up the piano! Hope the KSO has him back to do the Music of Billy Joel soon!
The piano playing and singing by Michael Cavenaugh were out standing. The KSO was special. Great Performance by all.
