The Norwegian lads were achingly beautiful. Eirik's superior songwriting coupled with their superb guitar technique made for a truly enchanting evening. The sound was profound and vast. Their touch on guitar modulated with great sensitivity, chill-inducing resonance and chiming assertions. Voice was soft and husky yet god-like in its might. I fell in love with my wife all over again. After the show I told Eiric how his music had brought us together from a surreptitious beginning and he sincerely said he was honored to have played that part.
Seth etc. was, sorry, quite mediocre. He can sing and play and sports a sweet slide guitarist, but bass and drums were thumpingly indistinct. The main problem is the songwriting. Pretty annoying really! Seth and co. backed the Kings at the end of their set quite competently; you would think that having played with them Seth might learn something a bit more thoughtful and adventurous about song-writing. Seth my first girlfriend (and sentimental virgins we)was from Camarillo like you, and I really wanted to like you. Terribly sorry.
The ahow still gets an amazing rating because the Kings were so powerful.
