Truly wonderful church of rock experience Kings X are the best, can't wait to see them again. The sing along at the end brought me to cheers of joy and you could tell the band were touched as well !
I have loved this band in a special way since their release of Out of the Silent Planet and have never missed an opportunity to see them. They are an exceptional trio of incredible musicians, who also message very positive and spiritual messages in their lyrics. They not only blow my mind every show with their musicianship, but they uplift me in ways no other hard rock band has. Still on top of their game, still writing awesome and meaningful music and still the underrated Kings of the power trio!!!
Incredible show from this hard rocking trio. All of them in top form. Dug's voice was strong! Ty's solos ripped. Jerry!! What a great drummer.
Kings X played Atlanta for the first time in years. It was great seeing them again. The opener was not bad but KX were the ones to see. We wished they played a little longer though (up to 11pm would have been nice). They played 7 songs from new album which were good to show they’re still a current band making good music. We were hoping for “summerland”, “over my head” and / or “ it’s love” after the encore of “goldilox” (which was amazing on its own as the crowd sang and dUg got emotional). Still a great concert though…. Better than most bands more than half their age.
As usual, Kings X brought the groove! I’ve lost count the number of times I’ve seen King’s X, but they always put on a great show.
So glad I got to see King's X finally. They put on a great show; the only downsides are that the opening band was just okay and that because the guys in the band are getting a little older now, there were some songs they couldn't quite hit the notes on, and a couple they just basically let the crowd sing for them. Overall though it was a very good show and we really enjoyed it.
Great show! These 3 guys fill the air with amazing sound!!! Don’t miss this show if it comes near you.
Tight. Deep. Awesome. Groove machine was in full force! One of the best shows ever.
Incredible show! It’s something special to see a group of guys that have been together for so long and you can still tell they love playing together and playing for their fans! Musicianship is second to none when it comes to King’s X as Ty, Dug and Jerry are all masters of their instruments. Here’s to another 40 years of groove metal!
Love me some Kings X! I know these Cats are in their golden years, but after seeing them 4 or 5 times in the last ten years, its like theyre just phoning it in at this point. They dont play the big hits, the audience only!!! sing along, each show is freakin annoying!! We dont pay to hear the audience sing the entire song! Lastly, their set is short, maybe 12-14 tunes, and no encore!!! Really??? Thats just weak!
King's X has been delivering outstanding music and live performances for over 43 years. Saturday July 15 was my second time seeing them at Brooklyn Bowl, Nashville. Wonderful venue with great crowds. Their music takes you on a journey with so many different emotions. Their latest release, Three Sides of One, is a masterpiece. If you have the chance, go see them live. Such a powerful band!
A little bit disappointing for the price. I had front Row seats...ended up standing and quite a few rows back. The 1st band No show although their merchandising crew was there, that was o.k. because I didn't know the 1st band but was curious to see who they were and how they played. King's X did an excellent show as always, however considering the other band didn't play thought that they'd get to play for the lost part of the show...perhaps they did, but it wasn't as long as was hoped for.
Great show with small crowd. Sounded great! Easy to see band. Atomic Kings canceled. And venue was changed with only 1 days notice.
I cant tell you what an honored to see one of the best bands of all time! However the venue was changed in less than 24 hours before the show. Also the opening band Atomic Kings did play at all.
What I paid for, I would consider a premium for a show at the Kiva Auditorium. It's a great room that would no doubt have an appropriately sized PA. What I got, after the show was moved to a different venue, day of, amounted to maybe a 10 dollar cover charge at best. The sound crew was scrambling to make the PA work, the opening act did not play due to the delays, and when Kings X finally went on, they were clearly frustrated with the sound as evidenced by their communication with monitor guys throughout their set. I believe it also translated to an abbreviated set. Overall, I was glad to see one of my favorite bands however after thinking through it, I paid what I paid because I thought what I was getting was a top notch Venue(room), top notch PA and top notch set. Instead what I feel like we all received was a bait and switch scenario, which honestly was probably not the bands fault but some sort of compensation, which is apparently impossible to get back from either the promoter or Ticketmaster, would have been appropriate in this particular instance. Instead I believe you took my money and then gave me a crappy product.
I'm extremely disappointed the location in Alb. changed at last minute. We saw the sign on the door it moved to the West side of town! Too far to drive & get there late! Never again...
King's X is such an incredible live act! This was my 4th time seeing them since '98, and it was arguably the best performance I've seen! The band is so solid and so FUN to see live! A fantastic set list that favored their great new album, hit a lot of great standards and had a couple suprises! Great suport also from Sound and Shape.
Finally got to see Kings X after being introduced to their music back in the early 2001. What an awesome concert. I love their albums but hearing them and seeing them perform live was the best. The energy they gave and put into their performance was unmatched! I will definitely go see them again ASAP So thankful they performed in Madison, hope they come back again soon
The Gramercy Theater Staff was competent and helpful, the show itself was orderly and well run and both 24/7 Spyz and Kings X absolutely killed! I sincerely wish that all stars align so that Kings X can come back again...one of the Best shows I've ever seen!
