KILLSWITCH ENGAGE IN CONCERT:

Metalcore band Killswitch Engage have made a name for themselves with their heart-stopping combination of sophistication and brutality. At their live shows, the band lays out a riff-heavy onslaught of guitars combined with dynamic vocals that range from bloodcurdling shrieks to low-pitch death growls as they pummel through tracks like "My Curse" and "Holy Diver." In the middle of all this unrelenting intensity is band frontman Jesse Leach, oozing a degree of snarling ferocity that is sure to please metal-heads and hardcore kids alike at the band's 2014 tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Westfield, MA metalcore pioneers Killswitch Engage were born in 1999 out of the figurative ashes of other hardcore bands and the literal ashes of Massachusetts' post-industrial Pioneer Valley. Their 2000 self-titled debut album on indie metal label Ferret immediately resonated with fans and nabbed rave reviews, earning them a spot on tour with fellow metal act In Flames. With the 2004 release of third album The End of Heartache, the band truly reached new heights, landing on the Billboard 200 and earning a 2005 Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance. Overall, the band has released six studio albums, selling over four million records in the US and becoming a touring staple on the international metal circuit.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"An awesome show!!! Sang along to every song! Jesse did a great job singing old and new songs!"

"The sound was amazing. Great bands all around. Killswitch was on a whole other level!"

"As a new fan of Killswitch Engage I wasn't totally up to date on all of their stuff...But even without knowing all of their songs I was really feeling their show. The best part of the event was the closing ...so emotional it was perfect!"

    Regret

by Milio on 4/21/22Franklin Music Hall - Philadelphia

Honestly I didn't stay. I stayed for like two or three songs by the first openomg band then went to the merch booth to get an autographed poster with a shirt and left. I've waited for this show since it's original date of March 13th of 2020 and ended up dissatisfied. I went so far as to purchase the $249.99 VIP Meet & Greet package hoping to meet Killswitch in person, but yes I know covid happened and yet some bands still did them albeit with restrictions. Since 2020 and the new rescheduled show of this year I never gotten an update in regards to my VIP purchase just that my ticket was valid. A simple heads up or email in correlation to my purchase would've been appreciated, but no that's $250 wasted. I'm not making it seem as if I'm entitled just proper PR should've been implemented properly.

    KSE at the dome

by Lurch on 3/21/22Dome at Toyota Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

First of all the dome at the Oakdale theater is a perfect venue, relatively small general admission floor with the stage in the middle and a bar on either side in close proximity. Killswitch engage is probably the best performance I’ve seen, they love what they do and it shows. They put everything into their performance. They barely even take breaks between songs. Plus have to say they are fave band bc I feel like they stole all the best tricks from all my favorite bands and put them in every song! The energy never stops! I hope they come back real soon, as well as the other bands that toured with them, especially light the torch because Howard Jones is the former vocalist for Killswitch who came onstage during their set and performed some songs with them so like a reunion concert, was awesome so glad I didn’t miss it

    MUST SEE

by John on 3/15/22Franklin Music Hall - Philadelphia

They're amazing live, highly recommended. They sound just like on recordings. They're very entertaining to watch, they include the crowd with sing alongs and they're just amazing. You'd have to see them live to understand. <3

    Covid Protocols

According to the venue's voice messaging service, they required proof of vaccination, so my nephew and I could not attend

    Entrancing, after waiting 2 years

by Jenn on 3/15/22Franklin Music Hall - Philadelphia

Final show of the tour and it was amazing. I was literally in a trance as it had been so long. Light the Tourch killed it (Thank you Howard, to the Flyers chant!) Killswitch slayed it and Jesse and Howard together are a Force! Just wish the sets were longer, I was left needing more. Until next time💜

    Concert: Great! Venue: not bad

by Yep on 3/14/22Main Street Armory - Rochester

Concert was fantastic! Beer at concessions was flat as could be! No smoking area! Something needs to be done about reverb… shields from The ceiling or something help help with sound. Staff super friendly! Merch table could use some help… two different lines for bands but yet no labeling and people were told wrong line and wouldn’t be helped

    All three bands amazed

by PowerplayMSU on 3/13/22The Fillmore Detroit - Detroit

Light The Torch blazed through about seven songs. They were better live than I expected. Playing songs from both albums and it sounded great. August Burns Red I wasn’t a fan of before seeing them. Respect for their playing and show. Killswitch was as good as ever. Fifth time seeing them. The whole show was great. Icing on the cake was Howard coming up for three songs to finish the night.

    Incredible

by FastBass85 on 3/13/22The Fillmore Detroit - Detroit

A truly spectacular and memorable night. The lineup was fantastic from top-to-bottom. Everyone was on point and the entire venue felt in sync with the high level energy and good vibes. The sound cut out out on August Burns Red during one song, but the band and everyone in attendance handled it really well. Jesse sounded really good and better than he has at last couple shows I’ve seen. Howard Jones and his band were great. Seeing Howard perform with KsE? Chef’s kiss! My wife and I had a great experience. We go to a lot of shows; have been doing so for nearly years, and this was easily amongst the best!

To be able to see Howard Jones perform A few songs as Killswitch Engage was just beautiful. To see him perform with Jesse as well was just as beautiful. I have been waiting many years to see this happen.
