KID ROCK IN CONCERT:
There are mere performers, and then there's Kid Rock. Primarily known for his bad boy image and rap-rock stylings, the veteran performer often surprises new fans with his unexpected musicianship in concert. Having expanded his repertoire to include gospel and soul with 2012's Rebel Soul, he now treats fans to a more dynamic show than ever, and his upcoming tour dates are sure to be no exception.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Growing up in suburban Detroit, Kid Rock was interested in rap and breakdancing from an early age, joining a crew and teaching himself to DJ in his teens. As a hip hop performer, he released five albums between 1990 and 1997 before signing with Atlantic Records in 1998. He then began fusing rap with rock, becoming one of rap-rock's pioneers with hits like "Bawitdaba" and "Only God Knows Why." Not content to stay within expected boundaries, Rock's follow-up records became more rock, country, and blues-oriented starting with 2001's Cocky and peaking with 2007's Rock n Roll Jesus -- an album that featured the No. 1 single "All Summer Long." A consummate showman with an ever-growing catalog of hits, Kid Rock's continued presence on tour is a cause for celebration among fans both new and old.

After hearing how great Kid Rock performs I couldn't wait to go to this concert...I was completely disappointed when I finally got to the show and heard more songs from other bands than actual Kid Rock songs!

He's promoting some new liquor called Red Stag, which was featured prominently during the show. Play list was 2003 album-heavy, and also did the Skynyrd sampling All Summer Long tune. Blew us all away with the encore finale of Bawitaba. Awesome show, Kid was loud and proud last night, sharing in a lot of Peace & Love with the fans.

There is always a great mix of changing it up for those who see him often while also playing favorites from over the years. Last night's stage was fairly simple. I miss some of the pyrotechnics from earlier years. Wish he would take that shirt off a little earlier in the performance. Only disappointment was that last night's show seemed a little short [<2 hours]. Love seeing him at Mohegan, fabulous arena for sound and not a bad seat in the house. Kid plays that venue very well. Hope he comes back soon!

Mohegan Sun is an awesome venue, not a bad seat in the house. Kid is the only show I've ever been to see again and he did not disappoint. Next time he's in the area, we'll be there without a doubt.

He definitely puts on one bad ass show!! Worth every penny. I have gone to a few concerts a long time ago and for my husband this was his very first concert. We pretty much drained our bank account between the tickets, driving 2 hours away from home, gas, tolls and food/drinks. But the experience and the memories we will forever have...... priceless. THANKS KID!!!!!!

I was still in awe just looking at him on that stage with being in his presence many many times. I highly reccomend seeing him in concert to all. I listen to Rock and Roll Jesus CD everyday!!! I guess you could say i'm a serious fan!!! If you read this Mr. Rob Richie know that NYC loves you and remembers you on 11th. Ave :)
