Great show overall, but couldn't see screen

by ReyBae on 2/20/20Apollo Theater - New York

I am a huge fan of The Read. This was my first live show and it was an overall great and fun experience. The only problem was that due to my seat placement in the Mezz, I could not see the screen projection that they put up for the "hot tops" section of the show. There were more than several images and videos shown to the audience. Myself and the people around me had to bend down to try and see the bottom 1/5th of the screen. I found that it took me out of the experience and was very distracting. Someone should have sat in different seats to make sure that audience members could see. I felt like I was missing out on what was being talked about. It diminished my experience a bit which was disappointing. Maybe make sure next time that there are screens placed in different places so everyone can see. Just because I paid a little less for seats doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to fully witness the show I'm excited to be at!

    They were great!

    by J. L. on 2/19/20Apollo Theater - New York

Have been listening to the Read for more than 6 years now and this was my first live show. They did not disappoint! Funny, insightful, the crowd around me was the best kind of interactive. Congratulations on 7 successful years and I hope for 7 more! My only issue was that sitting in the balcony, you could not see the whole picture that was projected on the stage, the top quarter or so was cut off.

The Read was great life. It felt like I was listening to a podcast. I will be seeing them again in Dallas.

    A fun time

by A.C.M. on 2/18/20Apollo Theater - New York

I absolutely enjoyed seeing Kid Fury and Crissle in person!! They were fun, funny and it was everything I expected. I only wish I would have been seated closer to the stage, but that’s what happens when you buy your tickets late. Highly recommend!

by SJax on 2/18/20Apollo Theater - New York

Really great show. It was just like listening in my car, but more interactive (if that's even possible). Super fun! Super engaging! Super dope atmosphere! Superb and highly recommended!

    Hilarious show but started late

by Lisa on 2/18/20Apollo Theater - New York

I love The Read with Kid Fury & Crissle. They were just as funny and entertaining in person as they are on the podcast. The show was paced well, just about 2 hours. My one issue is that it started 30 minutes late, which is something I expect from concerts but a live podcast? I thought at most 15 minutes. I only really cared because I have a long commute home so I'll keep that in mind next time I see show at the Apollo.
