Excellent event with various communities coming together to support the kids. I went to every session and watched every game. What an experience
Although the Martin County Boys Basketball team didn't win; all of Eastern Kentucky won due to the positive press received when the Pike County Central Band and the Martin County Band combined to play for the Sweet 16. It was a wonderful experience to be part of.
Need a new host city; no fanfare or anything to indicate that there was a Tournament going on. More Physical Tickets should be made available for Parents and Administrators to distribute to kids and Families!!!!!
The parking was atrocious and absolutely not handled well. It took forever to get out and anywhere on connecting streets even though there were tons of cops around. I think seat assignments should have been enforced or opened up for general admissions like the girls games.
It was great, easy parking situation, short walk into Rupp, found my seat easily. Great venue for KHSAA BB tournament. Looking forward to next year.
I enjoyed the venue, good food options and great athletic competitions but the cost was ridiculous!! For an event like this you want as much student participation as possible and that’s difficult with those prices.
Ticket price is way too high for family. They were three of us. Two adults on child 13. 84.00 for one session of two games. So two sessions a day for four days is 420.00. I think the sweet sixteen for high school will be something in the past. Families can’t afford to go. Rooms, food, parking and tickets for a family. Not good. Take a real vacation on this amount. Thanks
Pretty underwhelmed with the arena renovations. A lot of wasted space and essentially nothing to make fan experience any better. Lexington is not a good host and gives the impression it could care less if the tournament was held there. Other than having an arena the city adds very little to the experience. The KHSAA once again, adds nothing to the tournament to make it better. The teams and players are great! How about bringing something to the table every now and then.
I loved the whole atmosphere. Good players and the great student sections. I just wish KHSAA would get a shot clock. Overall loved it. First time back to Rupp since I played in 2001
Using Ticketmaster was ok. Only buying tickets digitally is not convenient for some people. Plus the students and families could only buy tickets in certain sections of the arena when some people didnt come to watch the games. For some this is a once in a lifetime experience and to be close to the court is a great experience. The communication with the schools was not very good and there was a lot of confusion as to where we could buy tickets. We were told we could buy them in certain sections, later only to find out that those were only available if you were buying the whole series of games. Not very economical for some families.
Lincoln County won so many hearts. Lincoln County is a WINNER!
Seats were great. Lincoln County won so many hearts. Lincoln County is a WINNER!
Better signage for the entry points among the construction. A lot of people from out of town that were very confused as to where to get in. Awesome once you got inside with all the friendly ushers and vendors. Great job!!
to much time between games should start 11 and 1 6;30 and 8:30 Gary
Took my family to the games and really enjoyed the event.
Good experience but would have been better without the construction.
Way to high for tickets. 14.00 plus a 8.00 service charge for high school students is way to high. That is why all schools student sections were way down. Some schools only had twenty to twenty five students. I think it is a crime to charge high kids 22.00to watch there classmates play.
The game was awesome. Easy purchasing tickets and love how you can pick exact seats you want! Only downfall, high school band should be in area not blocking viewers.
$22 for every game for the students is too much! A student’s whose team made it to the finals had to pay over $100 to go to his or her team’s games. Too much! Students should get a discount. The KHSAA should be promoting school spirit and not worried about making extra money from students!
I happily took 6 kids to the game. A $14 ticket ended up being 19.67. Per ticket. Ridiculous.
