Khalid Concert Schedule
Hailed as one of the voices of the millennial generation, Khalid found fame virtually overnight with a blend of melancholic R&B, smooth synth-pop and relatable tales of 21st-century teenage life. In stark contrast to his famously languid vocal delivery, the singer-songwriter is a magnetic force on stage, whether he's jumping around with American flag-themed cheerleaders, revealing the stories behind the songs or inspiring the crowd to sing along to every word. He first hit the road in 2017 with the 21-city Location trek before announcing a more expansive American Teen tour that allowed both his North American and European fans to soak up the Khalid live experience.
Khalid Background
Born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1998, Khalid Amhearst Robinson constantly moved around as a child due to his mother's military career, spending time in the Middle East, New York and Germany before settling in El Paso, Texas, in his mid-teens. Inspired by the sounds of '90s R&B and contemporary artists as eclectic as Alt-J, Frank Ocean and Father John Misty, Khalid began making music shortly after. Produced by Syk Sense, Tunji Ige and Smash David, the 2016 debut single "Location" immediately put him on the map, with high-profile support from the likes of Rolling Stone, Billboard and BuzzFeed helping it to reach No. 16 on the US Hot 100 and amass over 35 million plays on Spotify. Khalid's 2017 debut album, American Teen, further positioned him as an important new voice, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and spawning another Top 40 hit, "Young, Dumb and Broke." Khalid subsequently became an in-demand guest artist, with Logic ("1-800-273-8255"), Calvin Harris ("Rollin'"), Marshmello ("Silence") and Lorde ("Homemade Dynamite") all utilizing his rich, soulful croon to hit-making effect. Khalid also toured with Lorde in 2017, appeared at various festivals including SXSW, SnowGlobe and iHeartRadio Music Festival, made his TV debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and was crowned Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards. In the short space of a year, he also gained 1.5 million followers on Twitter and Instagram.
finally got to see one of my favorite artists!!!!!!
Not only does he have an incredible voice but he’s humble, connected with the crowd and seems very kind! The light show was also amazing and I’m so happy I got to go! I’ll see him again when he returns to Boston!
Khalid put on an amazing show. It was very mellow and the whole stadium felt like we were just jammin in a club with him.
The show was amazing. On complaint I have is how the garden does and handles the general admission process
such great energy, and he took his time talking to the audience and really made the show meaningful to everyone there. such a talented artist
Even though he was a bit late I loved his performance ❤️
Khalid is a blessing for us and the entire world. I’ve never seen an artist with a greater stage presence and he really makes it feel like he’s best friends with the entire arena. AND his voice is absolutely incredible live. I am SO thankful to have had general admission and to be SO close to him<3 the best night ever!!
I enjoyed the concert, Khalid is absolutely amazing and very talented! He was so interactive and just having the time of his life! I enjoyed every minute of the concert!
I love Khalid this is my second time going to his concert. I felt like this time was more difficult to hear him. Not sure if it was a venue issue. But nonetheless I enjoyed my time.
The sound was not the best. Hard to hear Khalid in the 300s; couldn't even make out the words to the song. He featured a lot of less known material for the first half then rushed through his big hits. The lights, stage design and cinematography was vry
Khalid is so genuine and you can hear the emotion in his voice even live!! I love the set and the dancers and band!!
My first concert was incredible fantastic and phenomenal. Khalid was amazing and awesome with his back-up dancers it was excellent and fun.
I wasnt able to go cause my grandpa died. But yk its all good lol. Im sure he was AMAZING
I absolutely love that the show started ON TIME! Unfamiliar with the opening act Clairo but she was good. Really enjoyed Khalid. The sound system wasn't the best.
From a parents POV- it was a great show! My girls had a blast! He even saw a few people in the crowd who had birthdays and sang happy birthday, which was extra special because it was one of my girls bdays. Dancers were amazing! They really added something to the entire performance. Clairo did great too! She rocked it!
The concert was soooo good start to finish. Khalid is a great performer and his opening act Clairo was good! As far as Capital One arena- The staff was really helpful and got everyone through security checks and ticket scanning in a timely manner. I really liked that Ticketmaster app gave a disclaimer on my seats that we would have a “limited view” in the area we were in!! Very thoughtful and we prepared for that.
Great concert. Took long for Khalid to come out but they played great music. If you were on the floor you had to go upstairs to use the bathroom which would have been better if there was one closer
Khalid’s concert was amazing! It was filled with love and happiness. The venues employees also did a great job making sure it all went smoothly! Khalid I hope you come back to the DMV!
this was my first concert and I absolutely loved it!! our view from the second floor was great, and khalid's performance was outstanding. 11/10 recommend!! love ya khalid
I sat in section 121 and there was a great view of the stage, the tickets were definitely well worth it!
