Khalid Concert Schedule

Hailed as one of the voices of the millennial generation, Khalid found fame virtually overnight with a blend of melancholic R&B, smooth synth-pop and relatable tales of 21st-century teenage life. In stark contrast to his famously languid vocal delivery, the singer-songwriter is a magnetic force on stage, whether he's jumping around with American flag-themed cheerleaders, revealing the stories behind the songs or inspiring the crowd to sing along to every word. He first hit the road in 2017 with the 21-city Location trek before announcing a more expansive American Teen tour that allowed both his North American and European fans to soak up the Khalid live experience.

Khalid Background

Born in Beirut, Lebanon, in 1998, Khalid Amhearst Robinson constantly moved around as a child due to his mother's military career, spending time in the Middle East, New York and Germany before settling in El Paso, Texas, in his mid-teens. Inspired by the sounds of '90s R&B and contemporary artists as eclectic as Alt-J, Frank Ocean and Father John Misty, Khalid began making music shortly after. Produced by Syk Sense, Tunji Ige and Smash David, the 2016 debut single "Location" immediately put him on the map, with high-profile support from the likes of Rolling Stone, Billboard and BuzzFeed helping it to reach No. 16 on the US Hot 100 and amass over 35 million plays on Spotify. Khalid's 2017 debut album, American Teen, further positioned him as an important new voice, peaking at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and spawning another Top 40 hit, "Young, Dumb and Broke." Khalid subsequently became an in-demand guest artist, with Logic ("1-800-273-8255"), Calvin Harris ("Rollin'"), Marshmello ("Silence") and Lorde ("Homemade Dynamite") all utilizing his rich, soulful croon to hit-making effect. Khalid also toured with Lorde in 2017, appeared at various festivals including SXSW, SnowGlobe and iHeartRadio Music Festival, made his TV debut on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and was crowned Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards. In the short space of a year, he also gained 1.5 million followers on Twitter and Instagram.

    Disappointed - he wasn't singing

by CB8881234 on 8/8/17The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

The reason you want to go see Khalid is because of his unique, beautiful voice. Too bad I didn't hear it at all at his concert. It was extremely disappointing to see a young artist not sing a single one of his songs. Bro, you're not Britney Spears. You don't have any dance moves to entertain us. Sing at your concerts. Lip syncing is not a good look.

Great perfomer. . . venue has issues.

by okdebbie on 8/4/17House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

While my group of teenagers were so excited to see Khalid, they were extremely disappointed that he only played for one hour. The sound system also made it hard to hear his voice. The music overpowered his vocal and combine with the audience singing along made it almost inaudible. Additionally, this was a General Admission show at a venue in Orlando, Florida. The heat index that day was well over 90 degrees. Some started waiting in line at 8:00 am for the doors to open at 7:00 pm. My group was not so brave, they risked it by arriving at 3:00 BUT waited in the hot Florida weather for 4 hours only to have 60 minutes (maybe) of actual entertainment. Quite a let down and something every performer should take into consideration when booking a Florida General Admission venue during the summer months!

He was just amazing and it was a plus to see that he really didn't have the track playing behind him and had guest come out

    Khalid sounds amazing live

    by ninjawarrior27 on 8/1/17Tabernacle - Atlanta

Opening DJ put on a solid opening for about a hour and Khalid killed it with his set. He played nearly all of his songs from American Teen plus "Rollin".

    Khalid

by Roonedoggie on 7/30/17House of Blues Dallas - Dallas

Upset venue changed, south side ballroom, in 100 degree weather need better ventilation or air circulation, was not pleasant with temps. Dj was on for 1.5 hours too long and Khalid for 1 hour 4 minutes

Khalid put on a Great Show

    by mawest312 on 1/24/17The Foundry - Philadelphia

The concert was AWESOME, the singer before Khalid was great. Then to put the icing on the cake Khalid tore up the place. Only thing is I wish there was seating available. My feet began to hurt a little, after a long day at work and then coming to the concert. Other than that everything was GREAT.

The show only lasted 30 mins and there was no opening act. He sounded amazing and the live music was great. Such a shame. There also was no opening act. I was very disappointed. The meet and greet did not make up for the super short show time.
