This is one of the best concerts I’ve attended. It was a beautiful night, I had lots of room to dance and Kes the band brought the fire. It was amazing to see/feel so much Caribbean love, vibes and representation. Can’t wait for the next one.

I've been to many Kes the Band shows and I have enjoyed every single one. It is a joy to see the band reach heights selling out at the Budweiser Stage in my city (Toronto) and I know they'll be selling out arenas. Nuff luv and respect! Nomi 💛

  • Simply Amazing

by Soca fan on 6/17/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

The sound system at first was a bit off with the mic and music but once it got corrected pretty quickly, the concert was amazing! One thing I love about Kes concerts is the surprise guest he brings, always great soca stars or soca monarch. His catalog is outstanding but bringing the soca stars to also entertain us is worth the price of admission. From Lawn section to seating, great view anywhere!!!

Saturday June 14, 2025 goes down in history when Toronto's Budweiser stage opened its summer season with a brilliant and beloved SOCA artist, achieving sold-out status to a venue that held in excess of 16,000 persons. Kes the Band, fronted by Kees Diefenthaller, for one glorious evening, turned Toronto into what can only be considered a KES-mas celebration. A complete experience, from the moment you entered the gates, lasting well beyond as you shut your eyes in enchantment of this elevating memory, to flavour your dreams in a well-seasoned cornucopia of music, dancing, imagery and good vibes. Kes The Band (KTB) commanded a captive and devoted audience for 3 hours, without the use of onstage gimmicks such as scantily-clad dancers, fireworks, confetti bombs or glitter - which seem to be the standard for every high profile artiste in any music genre these days. They held us strictly on the strength of their music and his voice, on a bare stage with only a backdrop displaying video imagery from the band's music videography library. They needed nothing else. Added enjoyment came from a well-selected bevy of guest artists, reflecting KTB's respect and recognition of the Masters of the artform as well as the wave of the future. The placement of David Michael Rudder, Teddyson John, Tessanne Chin, Voice, Ravi B and Yung Bredda, on this enormous forum, felt absolutely appropriate, further endearing the enormous fan base to the heart of the featured artist - whose genuine regard for each guest artist reflected in the quality of musical support from the band. All of it combined provided an unforgettable experience for every soul present at the Budweiser stage, even the security and first responders on duty. Congratulations to Kees and KTB on a remarkable achievement! I hope that its impact is measured and recognized for the positive mark that the Soca artform has made, and that there would be many more such events at this venue.

  • BEST CONCERT EVER ~ HISTORY!

by Laura on 6/17/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Thank you Budweiser for bringing Kes the Band, the first Soca artist to your stage. This was history for Canada and Soca and was the best experience ever! Please keep Kes and other Caribbean artists in mind as this has to be the best concert I have been to! Thank you!

  • An incredible experience

    by It’s.annikaxo on 6/17/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This event was hands down the best concert experience I’ve been to in my life. Kes and all of the amazing artists had all 14,000 of us out of our seats the entire night, and the outstanding and invigorating pre party at the Corona stage hosted by Marxman the DJ rivals most parties at clubs and other venues to date. Attending this event will truly be a highlight of my life!

  • Awesome concert!

by Alicia on 6/17/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was one of the best concerts I have been to. Kes and his band came full of energy from Trinidad. The additional performers was an added bonus and they had the place jumping. Everyone was dancing and it was great to see representation from all over the world. That’s the power of soca music, which is energetic and brings people together. Thanks for bringing Kes to Canada and looking forward to doing this again next year.

  • Kes … what a time!

by Chantelle on 6/17/25Budweiser Stage - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was bar none one of the best converts I have ever attended! Kes brought the Caribbean to Toronto for sure!!! The music, cultural history, special guest performances and overall vibe were 10/10!!! Even the Toronto weather gods were happy because the weather was perfect. Kes made history and created unforgettable positive memories of “whining and wotless” behaviour!! Absolutely loved it!!

  • EPIC concert!

Kes always gives an incredible performance but this one was extra special! Not only did he open the season on the Budweiser Stage as the first soca artist ever, he brought a number of surprise and legendary guest artists! History was made in Toronto & ah time was HAD!
