Fantastic line up of stars to celebrate the end of Kenny Rogers and Dolly Pardon's performances together...Happy Retirement!
We booked our tickets 3 months before the concert, thinking we would be enjoying an evening of Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton duets. Wrong - but certainly not disappointed! As the stars came out to pay tribute to such a great entertainer, we were so surprised. Lady Antebellum, Reba McEntire, Billy Currington, Lionel Richie.... all singing songs from First Edition days (they were there too!) through the years. The Gatlin Brothers, Wynonna Judd, Little Big Town... Hearing Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton reminisce was as entertaining as their performance. Their friendship is so touching and when she sang "I Will Always Love You", grown men were in tears. We're still amazed at this unforgettable experience. Not to be forgotten
Although Kenny didn't sing much the guests were fab and was worth coming.
This was a dream come true, so many wonderful, amazing people. The Host sucked. Seats were to tight no leg room felt like sardines in a can. Not that great for the handicapped either.
Such a fabulous night of entertainment and surprises. I was expecting Kenny to do duets with a variety of artists but was not disappointed in the fact he mostly listened to other mega stars singing his hits. Hate to see Kenny go but if he has to retire this was the perfect send off!
Such an amazing night! So much talent to hit the stage! Loved Wynona and Reba and Oak Ridge Boys and Idina and Lionel...Best was the end with Dolly. Such great memories shared and who doesn't love islands in the stream! Kenny went out with a bang! Our seats sucked and there was a pipe or something blocking our view of the screen as we were in the nose bleeds,so that sucked, but still was so happy to have been there. It would have been cool to hear more from Kenny himself- like if he had been the one doing his hits with the other big names who were singing them, and it would have been incredible if they had an encore and brought out all the performers to sing the gambler together, but it still was an amazing concert!
Kenny Rogers was the best concert we ever saw, and probably the best concert we will ever see..
A show I will never forget! Once in a lifetime experience!
This event was a combination of big name stars giving their thanks for inspiration and a farewell tribute to a great musician who had inspired them all across several generations and genres. It wasn't clear at the time the event was announced several months ago, but Kenny Rogers is in rapidly declining health and is no longer able to perform. Each performing artist chose a beloved Kenny Rogers song to perform on his behalf instead with Rogers only taking the stage at the end of the night to partner with long time friend Dolly Parton. While may in the audience were disappointed that it was not Kenny actually performing for most of the evening, iit was a great evening, full of famous people and lots of unexpected tidbits and trivia.
The energy and humor of Dolly Parton made this farewell a joyous occasion; Kenny came alive when he began interacting with Dolly and Islands in the Stream was the hit song of the evening; I also loved seeing and hearing Wynonna; she is a REAL person also;
The whole show was remarkable!! Showed the love for Kenny.
I went thinking surely Kenny would be singing SOME throughout the night. I would be lying to say I wasn’t a bit disappointed that he did not. HOWEVER, he did sing at the end with Dolly and that was so worth it! It was very heartwarming to see other music artists come out to honor him and they were very good....
While the concert was amazing, I was thinking I had bought tickets to attend the Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton concert. I didn’t realize it was a tribute concert to Kenny and that he would only sing 2 songs.
What an amazing experience this was!! Dozens of artist took the stage to pay tribute to one of the worlds greatest entertainers Kenny Rogers. From The Oakridge Boys, who opened the show to Dolly , who closed the show there wasn't a moment that didn't simply put, take your very breath away!! From, Alison Krauss, who literally has the voice of an angel to Idina Menzel the moments that caused you have your hair tingle slightly, showed the range of talent this super star has inspired. Thank You Kenny for such a great evening, we will never forget it!!
Great Line up, it was an amazing night . Beautiful duet Idena and Charles. Little big town was so good and fantastic hosting by Charles Esten. So grateful I could join this once in a lifetime concert!
The concert was what dreams are made of. Our seats were prolly the worst in the venue. Next to the last row with perfect sight line of the stage about a football field away. Beautiful jumbo tron hidden behind black thick hanging baffle of some sort. Next to none projections on screen behind band. All in all the concert of a lifetime we sorta heard but didn’t see.
So many artists performed Kenny Rogers’ songs. Each one was awesome.
Best concert I have ever been to. Great place and great artists!!
Amazing lineup! Country, Rock, and Alternative stars paid tribute to a legend.
Why can't there be more events like this? Amazing lineup of talent...artists actually singing live
