Kenny Rogers, always an awesome show

by Dsnenut on 12/13/17Sands Bethlehem Event Center - Bethlehem

Although Kenny has aged (haven’t we all), he was enjoyable and humorous. I’ve been lucky enough to attend eight of his concerts over the years, I’ve never been disappointed! He always knew how to perform to please the crowd! I wish him well in his retirement!

    Traumatized

by Promise2 on 12/13/17Sands Bethlehem Event Center - Bethlehem

Kenny could not sing or walk!!! We were shocked to see him limp on stage. I still love him - but $180 just to look at him was not fair.

    Sad and Disappointing

by Tride55 on 12/13/17Sands Bethlehem Event Center - Bethlehem

I have loved Kenny Rogers' music for what seems like forever, beginning when he was with The First Edition. He was on my "bucket list" of entertainers to see. He was in great physical pain throughout the show, and gave it his best however he is not well. He said he was having major surgery in January, and my hopes and prayers are with him. We paid "way extra" for the VIP package that was also extremely disappointing. I thought we got to meet Kenny and have our picture taken. When we got there, we were told the package we bought entitled us to a poorly made "Christmas stocking," a deck of cards, place holder and poster -- all for a greatly higher price than a standard seat. The VIP tags and lanyards were told to us to be "vanity tags" that were actually worth nothing. I threw them away after a hugely disappointing evening.

    Kenny Rogers at the Sands

by bontaiJoe on 12/13/17Sands Bethlehem Event Center - Bethlehem

It is advertised as Kenny Rogers farewell tour. And I enjoyed the music and background videos, but over all the show was sad to watch. Kenny is barely able to walk, and did most of his show from an easy chair. He struggled to sing some songs and forgot the words in a couple of places. The good part was the stories he told of events though out his career. He is 79 years old and looks frail. He mentioned that he is scheduled for heart surgery in January and I hope he recovers well and can enjoy life with his family.

    Kenny Rodgers

by Cookiewife on 12/13/17Sands Bethlehem Event Center - Bethlehem

For a 79 year old Kenny, he puts on a great show. His voice is still strong. Linda Davis added her voice and was an added treat.

    Kenny -- An American Treasure

by EchoTrail on 12/10/17Grossinger Motors Arena - Bloomington

First time VIP patron. VIP treatment was awesome! Got to converse with other VIP concert goers who were much more experienced with VIP concerts and all said Kenny Rogers does it best. Kenny's voice is aging, he is 79 after all, and he stated that he was having some upper respiratory "issues", but he was very engaging and sang through the struggle. Linda Davis was very good too. They performed together, which was good (NOT opening set by Linda, followed by Kenny). Background screens full of Kenny 'through the years' which was very nostalgic and entertaining. Also, local school choir joined in with some Christmas Carols. All in all, an experience I will cherish and never forget. Kenny, the band, the manager - all a class act. Absolutely had a GREAT evening. Thank you to Kenny and his entourage.

    Kenny Rogers

by vancedave56 on 12/4/17Hartman Arena - Park City

It was a very memorable evening. Kenny Rogers is still a great Entertainer despite the age of 79. He tells me many of his lifetime experiences, and makes it a very great night for all! He sang many of his hits as well as many Christmas songs and was backed up by a local high school choir. I recommend seeing Kenny Rogers while you still can any chance you get.

Kenny Roger's Gambler's Last Deal Tour Forgettable

by MHFMFL on 11/27/17Barbara B. Mann - Fort Myers

Kenny came to Fort Myers on November 27, 2017. I give the man an A for effort but a D+ for the quality of his performance. It was sad, the crowd really rooted for him but he does not have it anymore. Should have hung it up years ago. The career history segment did make me realize how many great songs he recorded.

    Kenny Rogers Memorable

by Dolphinsvm on 11/8/17Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

So my parents listened to country way back in the 70's. I hate it, I would turn the radio station all the time. However then came along Kenney Rogers who I was introduced by your Aunt. I loved Kenny. Then in e 80's I took my Mom to see him with BJ Thomas and Eddie Rabbit at the Worcester Centrum. Was absolutely fabulous and a great time. So this year I thought it would be nice to take my daughter for her birthday. Kenny as usual did not disappoint . He was fantastic. He made me cry at some of his songs because I thought of my Mom. He is till funny like I remembered... I was quite shocked to see that he had a tough time walking and sometimes winded when singing but still sounded great... I loved Kenny then and still to this day I love him... I will never forget all the memories he gave me back then and now...

    Kenny still smooth at 79!

by GagaMonster on 11/7/17Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

His voice is as smooth as ever! He played all the hits and some great oldies. Only issue was his mic was not loud enough to be fully heard especially if you were in the back.

    Horrible!

by Kisswife on 11/7/17Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

The seating set-up was not good the seats are way to small you have no room to sit or put your arms down at your side. The sound was awful you could NOT hear Kenny Rogers and he was telling stories but too many people were up walking around and talking at the bars that you could not hear. Not sure why they didn't turn up his mic, guess the sound person was on a break all night. Couldn't see due to the people that were up walking around constantly going to the bar! And Kenny Rogers was really showing his age and he had to sit down which was fine but you could not hear him and Security was asked multiple times to tell people to keep it down but nothing was done. If I could have gotten my money back I would have....................

    Kenny should have walked away!!

by Beachnana4 on 11/7/17Ocean City Convention Center - Ocean City

We were so excited to see Kenny Rogers since we saw him on the Today Show and he looked and sounded good just a week or so before his performance. Not so, he was pale and disheveled looking, could hardly walk, talk, or stand up from his chair. We felt while we were there if he were sick, he should have cancelled, but afterward reading reviews, this was how he had been for previous shows. Why should someone who has been successful appear in a performance where people paid good money and not be able to give them what was promised. This is very sad...does he need the money? As far as the OC Convention Center is concerned, the facility has a much better hall for music performances. The seats were terrible unless you were sitting in the bleachers in the back and the acoustics were so poor that it was difficult to hear Mr. Rogers talk through a microphone even if his voice is frail.
