  • Lively and joyous

I have not seen Kenny Neal since the 1990's when I had hair and hopes and dreams. It was a great show. He really got the audience involved and varied his material. He is a very good singer, guitarist and harmonica player. The band was also top notch. My only complaint was it took about 30 minutes to get the sound right. His vocals and guitar were too down in the mix. It was a great evening.

  • Excellent. Kenny Neal always puts on a great show.

Kenny Neal Band always puts on a great show and more. The venue was excellent.

  • Samantha Fish was worth the price of admission

by michaelo on 10/10/17Double Tree Hotel - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

I think the folks who set the lineup for this show had it backwards. Kenny is a bit more mellow and Ms. Fish is a guitar warrior. After an awesome set from her Kenny was... a bit... boring. It wasn't his fault and I'm sure I would have liked his more mellow approach had he opened. I hope when she's in my neck of the woods next time she's the headliner. Actually I hope she is the only performer and she plays all night. If you see her in your area don't miss her. She's great.

  • Liked Kenny Neal - more blues

by GRbluze on 10/9/17Double Tree Hotel - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

Kenny Neal was what I would expect at a Blues Festival. He was a great blues performer and experienced entertainer who captivated the audience. Samantha Fish certainly appealed to some of the audience members. However, I would categorize her as Rock rather than Blues. I loved her voice but would like to hear her do tunes more in the Jazz and Blues genre. Also of particular note for ticketmaster: Ticketmaster sent me a concert reminder that included a live map to the concert. However, the map was to the DoubleTree in Philadelphia rather than in Reading. Hope no one tried to follow that map.

  • Kenny Neil never disappoints!

What a terrific evening!! We first met Kenny Neil several years ago when he filled in for an entertainer who was ill. We loved his style, interaction with the audience, warmth and humor ... not to mention TALENT. Loved the music... So glad he returned to Reading. Looking forward to the next concert!!

We first saw Kenny Neal in Memphis (Memphis In May). Then again at the Blues Festival in St. Louis last year. The performance at Harrah's was exceptional because you got to hear him "up close and personal". It was terrific meeting him after the show and to congratulate his VERY talented nephew. WATCH OUT Kenny - he's right on your heels!!!
