Best rapper performer ever. He was hyped the whole time!!!!

  • Kendrick Lamar the Real

    by LP33 on 9/17/12Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Show was on point on Friday even if it started at Midnight. And Kendrick came on at around 1:50 and I must say he tore it down. All of the opening acts were equally as good as well. The Howard Theater is a place that I would revisit and see a show anytime. Had a good time, would go see Kendrick and the Black Hippie Movement again. Hip Hop is not dead it just resides in Compton!!!

  • Kendrick Lamar.....No Hype Man?

by AvidtheMusicListener on 9/17/12Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 3 out of 5

It was okay. I like Kendrick and I enjoyed the show, however he can work on his showmanship. Noticed he didnt have a hypeman Curren$y is by no means where Kendrick is lyrically, however despite not even knowing most of his songs, I thought Curren$y did a better show than Kendrick. His opening acts had more flavor and were more hype than Kendricks. Oh Yeah...and Curren$y had a pool table onstage with scantilly-clad women playing a nice game of High-Low.........Clutch!

  • one of the BEST concerts i've ever been to.

  • Kendrick Lamar Show was dope!

by RoxAtHerWindow on 9/16/12Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

First of all Kendrick opened up a second show for 12 am since his first show had sold out. Even though he had two shows, he was still hype at the second one as though he did not even have a show before it. Good stage presence and a great performer, I would recommend his shows to anyone. Fly Union, Stalley, and the rest of TDE (Schoolboy Q, and Ab Soul) were awesome too.

It was a really wonderful event. I was amazed by the venue and the by the performance . The whole TDE family did an excellent job. Kendrick Lamar really interacted with the audience which is something I enjoyed. I felt that it wasn't just a show, but an artist interacting and hanging out with his fans. All of us not just enjoying the performance but as well being the performers.

  • Hands down...

Kendrick Lamar is quickly becoming one of the great hip hop lyricist. The DC crowd went mad and I could only think .. The feeling of the crowd & K Lamar. Shows like this are why hip hop is the love of my life.

Great show. I really enjoyed that Lamar really attempted to reach his audience.

  • by Anonymous on 9/16/12Howard Theatre - WashingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Kendrick did it again! Each time I see him perform it's better than the last. And what made this time better than the last was you didn't have to sit through 20 opening acts before he came on. Just 4 and 2 of those were his crew and 1 was Stalley so these openings were even worth listening to.

  • Show was Real Good

by DLitch on 9/10/12The National - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

Show was awesome! Ab-Soul, Jay Rock, and Kendrick killed it. Only negative was the lame BET commercial we had to watch, really killed the flow of the show.
