I started following Kendrick a little over a year ago. If you have been following him you know he's an incredible talent. The show reflects that. He does a bunch of deep tracks and the higher energy joints from the his new album with all the karisma you see on youtube videos. The best part about the show is the LOVE. Everyone at the show LOVES him. I never saw a Biggie or 2Pac show, but this is what I imagine it would have felt like. People just so hyped to see such an incredible talent. He's a beast and I think the hip-hop community is really digging the refreshing elements that make Kendrick Lamar worth listening to. If you LOVE Kendrick Lamar, go and see him, whatever the cost. You won't be disappointed.

  • Dissappointed

by FreedomWriter on 2/28/13Roseland Ballroom - New YorkRating: 2 out of 5

Since this was a standing event and the concert started at 6pm, we got on line at 4pm. They didn't open the doors until 6, yes, when the concert was suppose to start. We got inside pretty quickly and we were super close to the stage. Around 6:30, the DJ started playing and everyone was hyped. By 7:15 the DJ was still playing and people were getting annoyed. At 7:30 they kept telling us 5 mins before Kendrick comes out, they kept saying it for 30 mins. So, Kendrick didnt come out until 8pm, the next concert was suppose to start at 9pm. We were standing from 4pm to 8pm to see this guy, so by the time he came out, my feet were hurting an I was annoyed. Not only were my feeting hurting, but EVERYONE was smoking weed, so i left with my hair, scarf, and coat smelling like ganja. The only reason im giving it 2 stars instead of 0, is cuz Kendrick did his think, he didnt disappoint. If i had to do it all over again, I wouldnt have gone.

Kendrick Lamar is a good performer, he had the whole crowd jumping.

  • by TCole20 on 2/28/13Roseland Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Best concert I've seen at Roseland. Kendrick's performance was perfection, especially they way he interacted with the audience to transition to his next song. Maybe it was the best because of the artist performing.

  • Kendrick was amazinggg!

    by Mandaax3 on 2/28/13Roseland Ballroom - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I've been a fan of Kendrick Lamar for some time, so when I found out he was doing a show in NY, I had to go. The show was even more than I expected! He performed songs from OD, Section 80 & all of the favorites from GKMC... It was so live! He even brought out Ab-Soul, Jay Rock & SchoolBoy Q ... My words won't do the show justice... You just had to be there! I love Kendrick even more now <3

  • Great Show

    by DARIO12583 on 2/28/13Roseland Ballroom - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Even tho we stood outside for hours in the rain and cold, the show was great. Kendrick Lamar is a great performer.

  • Melanie Fiona was a nice surprise

by Marymissyrose on 2/27/13O'Connell Center - GainesvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great! Kendrick shut it down, lots of energy but the breaks in between the acts were just too long. The local radio station did ok by playing music in between but all n all it was good

  • by Anonymous on 2/27/13O'Connell Center - GainesvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The opening act was entertaining. I couldn't make out what he was saying but the beat was tight. I was so amazed that Melanie Fiona came to little old Gainesville! But she represented the women well. But Kendrick Lamar was so talented, so giving with his lyrics. It was a great concert.

  • Great Concert

    by Tom94gh on 2/27/13O'Connell Center - GainesvilleRating: 4 out of 5

The concert was really good because of the talent. I didn't like the opening acts and they seemed to stretch on and we had to wait for Kendrick. Once Kendrick was on the whole arena went crazy!

  • by CrissyLopes on 2/27/13O'Connell Center - GainesvilleRating: 5 out of 5

The show was amazing. The 2 opening acts weren't bad. Kendrick Lamar did his thing I enjoyed ever second of the concert. He just didn't rap his new material, but his old material from previous mixtapes.

  • Amazing!

by Shatara on 2/13/13Howard Theatre - Washington, DCRating: 5 out of 5

Kendrick is my favorite rapper so to be able to see him and sit in the front row was a dream come true! I had the time of my life and he is a great performer!!! I can't wait to see him again!

  • Great Performance

by TheTrueFan on 1/7/13The Norva - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Kendrick Lamar at the Norva back in July. His opening act was Stalley who performed a good set. He reminded me of the hip-hop that came out of New York in the mid 90s. I was pleasantly surprised by his performance since I was bummed when I found out Jay Rock and Ab-Soul were not perfoming that night. Kendrick came on stage in a blaze of energy you would expect from up and coming artists but he owned to the stage and crowd with the ease that you would expect from a seasoned veteran of the business with his Cali swag was in full swing. Kendrick's set was extensive and he even took time out to sit down and explain some of his influences for his songs. It felt honest and natural and provided a very intimate look into the man beyond his lyrics. There is no doubt in my mind that he is the future of hip-hop and in an industry that is overflowing with idiotic loud mouth phonies that is something for which I am grateful. I only hope that he doesn't become jaded by the industry nor lazy from success.

  • Kendrick Lamar did his thing!

by Thowed3 on 12/31/12House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

He didn't get on stage until 1:00am, but, his performance was well worth the wait! He put on one of the best live shows I've seen in a while, from his stage presence to his performance of songs acapella. He packed the House of Blues from wall to wall, overall great performance!

  • Best New Artists

TDE/Black Hippy is poppin right now. Putting the West Coast back on top. They all deserve to Eat!

  • K-dot delivered a lot of energy!

by Anonymous on 11/4/12Metropolitan Theatre - MorgantownRating: 4 out of 5

Kendrick was awesome. He played stuff from O.D., Section 80, and Good Kid, M.a.a.d City. The crowd was very amped up! Thought the behavior of the younger crowd left a lot to be desired. -oldest man ever

  • by Anonymous on 11/4/12Metropolitan Theatre - MorgantownRating: 5 out of 5

Though the opener was appalling and nearly got booed off the stage, Kendrick delivered an amazing performance.

  • KDOT PUT COMPTON BACK ON THE MAP!

by YUNGCHARLIE on 11/1/12CLUB NOKIA - LOS ANGELESRating: 5 out of 5

SHOW WAS ILL FROM BEGINNING TO THE END! AMAZING LYRICIST!!!

by Anonymous on 10/25/12Fox Pomona Theater - PomonaRating: 5 out of 5

Show was sick! i was hoping for better guest stars like Dr Dre or T.I. they showed up to the concert at nokia in LA. but at least Ab-Soul was there!

  • Great Show
