I made it in for the last few songs of Does It Offend You? Yeah! I was surprised how small the venue was - nothing bad at all. I enjoyed it immensely. I made it for the entire KELE show. I was about 6 ft away from Kele. My friends and I had a blast!! We will definitely revisit the Music Box!!
To be honest, I didn't go to this show to see Kele. I left after 3 of his songs because they were okay. The real reason I went was for DIOY,Y. They informed us when they took the stage that the lead singer was ill or something and wasn't going to be there. So they just play mostly instrumental stuff and a few new tracks. I still loved it regardless as I am a fan of their music. The opening act actually very good. I have high hopes for this band.
The first opener was ok, the second Does It Disturb you was really good. I've heard some ot their stuff before and not been that into it, but they are really good live. Their lead singer was missing but the music was great anyway and their energy was amazing. Ohhhh!. . . the headliner. Great music as I expect from such a talented singer song writer. He did a medley of Bloc Party songs, which was very exciting. His solo album stuff is just as nice. It was a dance party all night.
Does It Offend You, Yeah? were great. First time I've heard their stuff and they rocked it. Kele was fantastic.

I was esxcited to see Kele after the first time I heard "Tenderoni." The sound was excellent and he was thrilled to be playing NYC. See the NY Times (9/10/10) for an excellent review!
A great show that was full of energy! Kele brought the party to life, on a number of occasions!
