About

Released in 2016, RIPCORD, Keith Urban’s eighth studio album, continued its incredible run well into 2017.  Not only did it produce Urban’s 23rd #1 song with “The Fighter,” the album was certified platinum, making Urban the second artist to achieve that status in 2016.  “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” RIPCORD’s fourth #1 song, recently won Best Single at the 2017 CMA Awards (his 12th CMA) and Favorite Country Song at the American Music Awards, where he also collected trophies for Favorite Country Album and Favorite Male Country Artist.

November 8, 2017 saw the release and performance debut of a brand new song “Female.”  A poignant track written by Ross Copperman, Shane McAnally and Nicolle Galyon, Urban felt compelled to record and share the song as he continues to work on a new album for 2018.

The release of RIPCORD marked the second time that one of his albums debuted simultaneously atop the all-genre charts in the U.S., Canada and Australia.  He is the only male Country artist to achieve this mark.  The album produced five #1 songs, which moved Urban to #8 on Billboard’s All-time Country Airplay Chart and it leaves Urban’s streak as the artist with the most consecutive top 10 songs on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart (38) well intact – a streak that started in August of 2000.

In conjunction with the release of RIPCORD, Urban took to the road for his ‘ripCORD WORLD TOUR,’ his first major concert tour in two years.  Throughout 2016 and 2017, the tour played on four continents in front of more than 1.4 million people, further solidifying Urban’s already established reputation as one of the most electrifying and dynamic live performers.

In 2001, the Country Music Association honored Urban with its Horizon Award; he was the first Horizon Award winner in history to go on to win the CMA’s Male Vocalist of the Year, a title he’s captured three times, and the coveted Entertainer of the Year. Since then, Urban’s career has seen a long list of groundbreaking firsts and accomplishments reserved for the music industry’s elite.

The 2015 CMA Awards brought Urban his third win for Vocal Event of the Year for “Raise ‘Em Up” featuring Eric Church. It marked the first time in history that an artist has received the award in three consecutive years.

Besides four Grammy Awards, Urban has won twelve Country Music Association Awards, eleven Academy of Country Music Awards, a People’s Choice Award and four American Music Awards. He is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Urban’s reputation as a premier songwriter, vocalist, musician and virtuoso guitarist has afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with the likes of The Rolling Stones, John Mayer, Steven Tyler, Miranda Lambert, John Mellencamp, Alicia Keys, Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift, Vince Gill and Eric Church.

He’s long supported numerous charities.  His “All For The Hall” benefit concerts for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum© have raised over $3.4 million.  He is the first Ambassador of the CMA Foundation, is an advisory board member at the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and is a longtime supporter of The Mr. Holland’s Opus Fund and The Grammy Foundation.  In 2013, he introduced his new URBAN™ Guitar Collection via HSN, proceeds of which benefit both the Grammy Foundation and Mr. Holland’s Opus Fund.

    All for the Hall

by Bob on 12/9/23Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

As with most events, there were good parts and lesser parts. Some of the artists were unknown as far as I was concerned but one of the highlights was the kids from the high school and of course Brenda Lee.

    Floor seats not the best

by Stef on 12/9/23Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Can I first say that we don’t earn a lot of money. We are blue collar folks who had to save up for a while to buy these $400 each tickets. Firstly there was no clear instructions on which door we were to use. Several other folk had the same problem & were made to stand in line 3 times in 3 different lines before they were allowed in the venue. We were Section 4 which meant we had paper tickets and the door staff all seemed perplexed that we didn’t have phone tickets. Which door were we meant to use? We didn’t know about the bag policy either. We could have avoided taking a bag if we had known. Floor seats costing more than the seats in the stands, continue to be horrible folding chairs fixed together which gives people on the floor less room to move as the people in the stands. The seats need to be separated to allow elbow room. Also the standing pit being at the same level meant that it wasn’t easy to see past the folk standing up. Also section 4 was immediately behind sections 1 & 2. We had assumed by getting Row A that we would have a bit of room in front of us but we didn’t. The concert was fantastic but in hindsight we could have got cheaper tickets in the stands and had a better experience.

    What a show!

by Heidi Powers on 12/8/23Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Keith Urban and Vince Gill and a list of various artists took the stage and put on an amazing show. I was not originally attending this year. But bought a ticket day of show. I’m glad I did! The performances were outstanding! Not to mention, all proceeds go to funding Country Music Hall of Fame . I can’t wait for next year.

    Awesome Concert

by David’s Girl on 12/8/23Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

ALL FOR THE HALL It was an amazing show!!! The show ran smoothly and the artists were a nice blend. Not sure what happened to Dierks. Escalators working would have been nice. I don’t believe the seats or floors had been cleaned for a while but the entertainment was great. I liked Keith’s laid back approach. Plan to attend next year.

Keith Urban is about as down to earth as they come and does such a great job of interacting with the crowd. The best is how incredibly talented he is on the guitar and singing. Cant wait to see him again.

So fun with Vince and Keith

by Tess on 12/8/23Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

The whole experience was wonderful. Just a few songs from each person. But 10 acts at least and over 3 hours. A bit of Christmas Songs. I love Keith Urban and have gone to all his concerts since I moved. His solos and Eagles guitar work with Vince were awesome. So were War and Treaty, Trisha Yearwood. Made me feel grateful.

    Fantastic

by Visitor to the south! on 12/8/23Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

This was a fantastic concert. Going in I really had no knowledge of anyone other than Keith Urban. Sorry! But I’m not from America so did not grow up with this kind of music. However, this was an amazing experience. So many top notch artists who all gave their all for charity. I would highly recommend going next year in fact I’m planning to go again as it’s an annual event. This was the 8th year and hopefully it will keep going. Thanks to everyone who worked to hard on the night and for putting it all together.
