About

Released in 2016, RIPCORD, Keith Urban’s eighth studio album, continued its incredible run well into 2017.  Not only did it produce Urban’s 23rd #1 song with “The Fighter,” the album was certified platinum, making Urban the second artist to achieve that status in 2016.  “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” RIPCORD’s fourth #1 song, recently won Best Single at the 2017 CMA Awards (his 12th CMA) and Favorite Country Song at the American Music Awards, where he also collected trophies for Favorite Country Album and Favorite Male Country Artist.

November 8, 2017 saw the release and performance debut of a brand new song “Female.”  A poignant track written by Ross Copperman, Shane McAnally and Nicolle Galyon, Urban felt compelled to record and share the song as he continues to work on a new album for 2018.

The release of RIPCORD marked the second time that one of his albums debuted simultaneously atop the all-genre charts in the U.S., Canada and Australia.  He is the only male Country artist to achieve this mark.  The album produced five #1 songs, which moved Urban to #8 on Billboard’s All-time Country Airplay Chart and it leaves Urban’s streak as the artist with the most consecutive top 10 songs on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart (38) well intact – a streak that started in August of 2000.

In conjunction with the release of RIPCORD, Urban took to the road for his ‘ripCORD WORLD TOUR,’ his first major concert tour in two years.  Throughout 2016 and 2017, the tour played on four continents in front of more than 1.4 million people, further solidifying Urban’s already established reputation as one of the most electrifying and dynamic live performers.

In 2001, the Country Music Association honored Urban with its Horizon Award; he was the first Horizon Award winner in history to go on to win the CMA’s Male Vocalist of the Year, a title he’s captured three times, and the coveted Entertainer of the Year. Since then, Urban’s career has seen a long list of groundbreaking firsts and accomplishments reserved for the music industry’s elite.

The 2015 CMA Awards brought Urban his third win for Vocal Event of the Year for “Raise ‘Em Up” featuring Eric Church. It marked the first time in history that an artist has received the award in three consecutive years.

Besides four Grammy Awards, Urban has won twelve Country Music Association Awards, eleven Academy of Country Music Awards, a People’s Choice Award and four American Music Awards. He is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

Urban’s reputation as a premier songwriter, vocalist, musician and virtuoso guitarist has afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with the likes of The Rolling Stones, John Mayer, Steven Tyler, Miranda Lambert, John Mellencamp, Alicia Keys, Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift, Vince Gill and Eric Church.

He’s long supported numerous charities.  His “All For The Hall” benefit concerts for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum© have raised over $3.4 million.  He is the first Ambassador of the CMA Foundation, is an advisory board member at the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and is a longtime supporter of The Mr. Holland’s Opus Fund and The Grammy Foundation.  In 2013, he introduced his new URBAN™ Guitar Collection via HSN, proceeds of which benefit both the Grammy Foundation and Mr. Holland’s Opus Fund.

Fuse Tour Was Awesome and Keith Urban Incredible

by WWWJR on 11/17/13Verizon Wireless Arena - Manchester - Manchester

The energy from this show was amazing. All performers lived up to their billing. Dustin Lynch and Little Big Town warmed up the stage for Keith Urban and definitely got the Verizon rocking. The vocals blending from Little Big Town was really sweet to hear. The cover song The Chain (Fleetwood Mac) by Little Big Town sounded amazing. I don't have enough room here to explain how awesome Keith Urban and his Band played. I love his energy and talent of picking and singing and the way in which he engages the audience!!! Simply the BEST SHOW of the YEAR for my wife and I.

Keith Urban at his best !

by EHJR on 11/17/13Verizon Wireless Arena - Manchester - Manchester

This is my 7-8th concert of Keith's and each one is so different, but there are moments when he plays a song that reminds me of previous concerts, such as using the second stage and going into audience and giving the guitar !

Keith Urban puts on an unbelievable show. He really is a genuine crowd pleaser. At end of show, he came back out for encore performance and sang for another 1/2 hour. Would go to his concert again! Love him!

    Best concert ever

by AntoniaRN on 11/17/13Verizon Wireless Arena - Manchester - Manchester

All of sudden without the lights going down, no music or anything and Keith was standing there saying hi. His 3 guitar and base players quickly followed and they did an instrumental standing closely in a line. Then they launched into Long Hot Summer and it was a long , over 2 hrs, amazing show. Keith said he would do songs from his new CD Fuse and old songs too. That is just what he did. His guitar playing is not praised enough and he showed us what a good guitar player he is. His band, especially lead guitar Brian Nutter, looked like they were all having so much fun. It was infectious. The band got to sing a bit of a solo each to which goes ,I think, with what a generous man Keith Urban is. The energy level was off the charts and like I said it was the BEST CONCERT EVER!!!

Amazing! He is so generous as he gave away a guitar and had two girls come on stage. He also stayed after the show for a little while to sign items from fams. Keith moves around the arena so everyone can see him up close. The energy from him and band is awesome. I would see if every night if I could.

    Keith Urban and guests great

by jsmith1215 on 11/15/13Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

Great!!! I waited too late and got seats pretty high up but it was good. It made it even better to be right then when Keith came into the audience. Our civic center leaves a lot to be desired though, as I have been to several concerts this year, and ours is pretty drab.

LIGHT THE FUSE TOUR 2013 WAS AMAZING

by PKH1 on 11/14/13Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

HAVE BEEN TO 7 KEITH URBAN CONCERTS. BY FAR THE BEST YET. SECOND BEST WITH CARRIE UNDERWOOD. WE HAD FLOOR SEATS FOR THE FIRST TIME & TOTALLY ENJOYED THEM OTHER THAN THE FACT WE WERE IN THE 1ST ROW OF A WALK AREA. LOVED THAT KEITH URBAN STAYED AFTER THE CONCERT TO SIGN AUTOGRAPHS. JUST ABOUT MADE IT TO THE FRONT TO GET ONE BEFORE HE LEFT THE STAGE. HE WAS RUNNING FROM ONE END OF THE STAGE TO THE OTHER SO EVERYONE HAD A CHANCE FOR AN AUTOGRAPH WITH A HUGE SMILE ON HIS FACE. SOUND WAS GREAT, LITTLE BIG TOWN WAS AWESOME. THE WHOLE CONCERT WAS PERFECT....BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT I EVER BOUGHT MYSELF!

Keith Urban is the best entertainer!!!

by Feelingfab on 11/13/13Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

This was the second time I have seen Keith Urban and he did not disappoint. He played and sang his heart out. He engaged the crowd, came out into the audience, pulled people on stage and even gave away a guitar. I was in awe of him even more than before. He was truly generous and very thankful to us the audience for coming to see him. I will definitely go see him again. He is the best.
