About

Pioneering the New Jack Swing style fusing electro-hip-hop production and contemporary urban R&B, Harlem, New York’s Keith Sweat became one of the most popular R&B/soul producers, singers and songwriters of the late ‘80s and ‘90s. He sang in nightclubs throughout New York City until he was discovered and signed with Elektra Records in 1987, releasing his debut solo studio album Make It Last Forever and selling three million copies with the smash single “I Want Her.” Sweat’s second album, 1990’s I'll Give All My Love to You hit No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart, and spawned the singles” I’ll Give All My Love to You” and “Make You Sweat.” He also put out the single “(There You Go) Tellin' Me No Again” from the New Jack City soundtrack, and released his third album Keep It Comin’ in 1991, debuting in the top 20 and featuring the hits “Keep It Comin’” and “Why Me Baby” with LL Cool J. 1994’s Get Up and 1996’s self-titled album both reached the Billboard top ten, selling over a million copies each of sexy and soulful singles “Nobody” and “Twisted.”  In that late ‘90s and ‘00s, Sweat kept his fans moving with Still in the Game in 1998, Rebirth in 2002, Just Me in 2008, and his latest Til the Morning in 2011. After playing concerts in South America in late 2013, he’s embarking on a US tour in 2014 and launching the Sweat Hotel Cruise for ticket buyers in April 2014 for eight days through the Caribbean.

    Great concert

by AM on 2/13/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

We loved the concert. Every performance was so nostalgic and wonderful. We loved the venue except the fact that you had to walk through the casino to get to the venue. The smoke was absolutely horrible in the casino. That was the only downfall. Otherwise the venue where the concert was held in had great sound, good seating and the artists were all amazing.

    Dirty old man

by Nona on 2/13/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

The other performers were great. After 7 was my very favorite and I would go to a concert of theirs. It went downhill after Keith Sweat came out. He came out seemly drunk or high. I thought he was going to fall multiple times. It was weird with him not singing and staring at the back of the stage dancing like he forgot about the audience. Not to mention the creepy stares (without singing) at the audience. Let's not forget his crude jokes and grabbing himself. If he wasn't KS, the ladies would run from him... old man creepy vibes. I won't be attending anything with him in the future.

    Keith Sweat at The Venue

by Dre on 2/13/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

I was pleasantly surprised. The entire concert was rocking and the audience definitely enjoyed. I don't usually go for old skool concerts, but this was a good one!

    Amazing throwback

by Rarita on 2/13/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

All of the performers were amazing. Keith was the highlight. His performance did not disappoint other than he turned his back to the audience a lot. His female background singer stole the show. She was amazing and he knew it. Gave her the time she needed to shine. One of my favorite parts was when he did a did you know type thing. He played a short flick of all the songs he's written and produced for others. He is such a talented musician and performer. ALL of the performers were on point. After 7, ultimate professionals, Montell Jordan very engaging, All4one surprised the heck out of me - so good, Samuel had an amazing voice And got the party started right.

    The soundtrack of my 20s

by HotelDude on 2/13/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

I am 53 going on 54. So it was fun to sing along with every artist on stage. Most are much older now and still sound pretty good. They just do not have the level of energy they did 30+ years ago. Not a knock, loved the concert overall.

    Bass drowned out singers' voices.

by Leen on 2/13/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

I wanted to see and HEAR After 7 and Keith Sweat. Instead there were 5 acts leaving After 7 and Keith Sweat about 40 minutes each. It didn't matter much because you couldn't hear the singers anyway. Way too much bass. Very disappointing.

    Disappointed in Keith Sweat!

by Disappointed Fan. After 7 and All 4 One saved the show, as they were AMAZING! on 2/13/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

All the acts were AMAZING, except Keith Sweat who appeared to be drunk “sleepy from taking Benadryl, as he said” during the show. What a disappointment, as we were really excited to see him. Again, After 7, All 4 One were AMAZING!!! Montell Jordan was ok too.

It was a great concert except for Keith Sweat

by Mike A on 2/13/24The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Samuel, All 4 One, Montell Jordan, and After 7 were all great and made it fun! We were quite disappointed in Keith Sweat. I have seen him twice before and he was great those times. This time was way different. His voice and performance were lacking. We still had a great time, but left early due to our disappointment. This will be our last time seeing Keith Sweat.

    Keith Sweat under performed

by Christopher on 2/13/24Alamodome Theater - San Antonio

All the performers before the main event were great very professional and did their job. However, the main event that I came to see Keith Sweat came out, drunk and remain drinking while on stage performing, he wasn’t singing much trying to make jokes while drinking on stage he’s the guy I grew up with he’s a guy actually came to see and I spent my money I was not happy at all.

Meh and Excessively Loud at end

by Monty on 2/13/24Alamodome Theater - San Antonio

The sound engineer, for Keith clearly was not as well, attended to adjusting for his voice in this venue. On top of that, as the night went on, and his show let into videos of music that he wrote, the volume pumped up to an unreasonably high level. For this to be called a Valentines show, I would’ve expected it to have been a bit more intimate from a showmanship perspective.
