Keith Anderson @ 8 Second Saloon

by taintedlove1972 on 3/31/138 Seconds Saloon - Indianapolis

I have been to the 8 second saloon a couple times before for other entertainers. It is a really great bar with wonderful employees. I would recommend 8 Second saloon to anyone. As for Keith Anderson. He was wonderful and puts on a great show. I was surprised but yet excited to see that he added Colt to his band. Excellent choice! I would def. come back to see him again. :)

    Good Show.

by indianacountrygirl on 3/31/138 Seconds Saloon - Indianapolis

The show was good but the venue has the main acts start way to late. Doors open at 6, and the opening act started about 9-9:30 and played about 6 songs and then the main act didn't start till well after 11. We were at a table of 10 and 4 people left before Keith Anderson even got on stage. We left at about midnight so only saw part of the show. I know it is a bar event so we should expect a later show but a concert is not normally started this late and when the show advertises that the opening act starts at 8:30 you expect the next act to start about 10.

    Not very personal

    by Shadow1991 on 6/21/10Joes - Chicago

I LOVE Keith and have seen him before at a local fair and it was a great experience. Got his autograph and a picture with him. I was hoping he would sign autographs afterwards but he did not. He did great just wasn't very personal at all for as small of an event that it was. I also got VIP tickets which I wouldn't do again. I ended up going down where the general admission ticket people were since they got closer than the VIP section. Would I go back NO, next time I'll stick to small fairs and hope to get to meet him. Also Colt Ford that played before him was horrible the background music was so loud you couldn't even understand the words to his songs.

keith anderson gave me a hug and kiss!

    by cece27 on 6/20/10Joes - Chicago

It was awesome. My friend made a sign saying it was my birthday and keith anderson actually knelt down to hug me and give me a kiss on the cheek. It was amazing! He sang some new songs plus the hawks showed up to sing a song with him and present him with an autographed jersey. The night was just so much fun!

    Worth the trip!

    by MDK77 on 6/20/10Joes - Chicago

I made the trip to Chicago for this show from Pittsburgh and thought that it was well worth it. The venue was awesome and the perfect size for the crowd that was there, beers were ice cold and cheap, and the music was top notch. Keith played to the crowd a lot and had everyone into it. I took a friend who is not a huge country fan by most standards, and she even enjoyed it and now wants me to lend her the CD's.

    Keith Anderson Amazing!

    by panther3 on 6/18/10Joes - Chicago

Keith Anderson had Joe's rockin. He sang his hits and the crowd was singing along the whole night. For the encore he invited the champion Chicago Black Hawks on stage to sing with him and the crowd went crazy.

by McGraw on 6/18/10Joes - Chicago

The concert and meet and greet were wonderful but the Blackhawks coming on stage at the end thowing beer at everyone got a little out of hand. Cameras were out and digital equipment and beer was shook and flying everyone from the stage.

    RAIN or shine...

by luckydrummer on 6/15/10DeKalb Outdoor Theater - Auburn

As it was a rain or shine event, I had hoped for the shine, but got a lot of rain. The crowd was very sparse, and it was difficult to deal with the humidity in between rain. The opening bands played a lot of Johnny Cash which I love and I found that I recognized many of their others. I was prepared to deal with the rain during Keith Anderson, and even stayed during the first two songs when lightning began striking. After that he quit playing. I waited all day, dealt with the rain, and didn't even get a set from the healiner. Rain or shine? The venue or ticketmaster should offer refunds because he was the sole reason I purchased tickets.

Great Music for a Great Cause

by MusicamIaFan on 11/29/09Joes - Chicago

Music was great, upclose and all for a good cause. Chicago Bears players meeting and greeting along with Keith Anderson and David Nail. Did I mention the meeting & greeting was walking into the crowd before, during and after the show. No lines no barriers just good honest people all there for a good cause. Silent auctions to take away sport memorabilia, a guitar, posters, etc. I would definitely recommend this but be aware there is no place to sit during the show it is a stand up only and if you move you loose your space. Ya gotta go and try it because it was all worth it. God Bless those involved in donating time, money and items but especially Joe's.

the music was good it was nice not to be not crowed, i bought the !100.00 ticket, the event was billed as a meet and greet and Greg Olson the Bears player walked around the VIP room once and was not friendly at all and his friends stayed upstairs in a privated party never came out. You can't beat Joes for Music however the Bears players always leave us Chicagoans disapointed.

    Kind of a Rip Off

by Anonymous on 11/15/09Joes - Chicago

I was extremely disappointed we paid $100 for VIP tickets to only find out there was a separate VIP section for the various athletes and stars who rarely strayed from that section. Part of the VIP deal was to have the chance for meet and greets which I feel really never happened. The majority of the athletes didn't seem even really interested in talking to anyone and when they did they made it appear to be a burden. Additionally, the so called appetizers only consisted of cheese cubes. I saw four different cheese trays circulating the room yet no trays with real food. The only saving grace of this event was that all the proceeds go to an extremely good cause. Other than that I definitely wouldn't recommend this event nor would attend again.

    Shakin' it at Joes

by Caranita on 11/14/09Joes - Chicago

Shake the Lake was a huge success in my book! Ketel One ice sculpture bar n' martinis, the bartenders, Greg Olson's hospitality in VIP, of course Keith Anderson and David Nail rocking the house, all the guests, even the pizza we ordered, was outstanding! One of the best date nights me n' my boyfriend have had in awhile. We can't wait to do it again. Thank you Greg & Joe's for putting on a very fun night!

awesome entertainment! bad choice of venue!

by emme16 on 10/6/09Antelope Valley Fair - Lancaster

The performers part of the concert was totally awesome! Each of them put on a great show from Jason Michael Carroll to Heidi Newfield to Keith Anderson!!! Worst part about the whole thing is that security does not like people to stand up at their seats! It almost totally ruined everything! Heidi got security to let people come up to the stage area which I can only assume they disliked intently. After that, security did not want anyone to stand for Keith's part of the show, and kept telling us all to sit down. But as one of the performers said- "who in the he__ goes to a country concert to sit on their @ss!!!" and security finally let us stand up for rest of show. The only other bad part about the event is that if you had a meet & greet with one of the performers, the fair people took your picture and put it on their website for all to see. You couldn't take a picture with your own camera, which sucked big time! Then you had to wait until the fair was over to try to get a copy of your picture off of their website! I went to 2 shows this year at the fair and never again unless their policies change! I would recommend the event- just not the place it was held at!
