    Exceptional musicianship

by DJ DJM on 4/8/24Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club - Portsmouth

Keiko and her International backing - player from Cuba, Holland, and Brazil were intricate and supremely talented. I hope she will return to Jimmy’s sometime in the future.

    Great Show!

by Joe on 4/8/24Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club - Portsmouth

Keiko and her band put on an outstanding show. Keiko is a contemporary jazz artist that infuses elements for her Japanese heritage into her music. Her band is from all around the world and they are top notch musicians. If you get an opportunity to see Keiko live, do not hesitate, she puts on an impressive show.

    Music sent from Heaven!

by Andrey on 4/8/24Jimmy's Jazz and Blues Club - Portsmouth

Keiko is an AMAZING artist! Her music is divine! I've heard her live in 1998 in Scullers Jazz Club in Boston, MA (still have signed Full Moon and the Shrine CD and a ticket) for the first time in fell in love instantly. This was my second experience of her performing live in Jimmy's Jazz Club in Portsmouth, NH. Her supporting musicians are also awesome - especially guitarist JP! Keiko, thank you for the music which makes our lives so much better!

    A wonderful artist.

by StuFan on 11/21/23Birchmere - Alexandria

This was a celebration of her latest album that was partially conceived during the pandemic. It is a soulful work of art. She assembled talented musicians to accompany her, and she was herself at her best. She appreciates her fanbase, and is very engaging, humble, and warm.

    An amazing performance

by Queen Ebb on 11/19/23The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red Bank

This is my third time seeing Keiko Mastui. She was amazing. Her gift of music is beyond measure. However I had some issues in purchasing a ticket. It keep buffering not allowing me to complete my purchase so I had to find another seat and when I completed purchase, I went back to check if the seat I first selected was available and it was available but I had already purchased a ticket 🎟️.

    Ageless Awesomeness

by Rock D Jazz on 11/17/23Birchmere - Alexandria

Keiko is Jazz class personified. She was energetic and creative and very personable, something you could sense from any seat in the house. She introduced the band several times and allowed them to do their thing. Her talent of course stood out. The last time I had the privilege to see her was about 20 years ago and she is better now than she was then. Hope to see her again soon.

    Extraordinary Again

by Coffeetalk on 11/16/23Birchmere - Alexandria

I'm so hooked on Keiko Masui. The Birchmere show was awesome. Then, she tops it off with special guest, Jeff Kashiwa. Double Wow! She has the best row family ever and they just melt together, like butter. I just saw her last month at Rehoboth Jazz Fest and earlier this year at Bethesda. I live when she performs so close like the Rams Head would be nice too. Keiko ability to multi task with the various keyboards and synthesizer is just undesirable. Those fingers are just magical. Love, love ,love her shows.

    Fabulous!!

by MARY from Springfield VA on 11/16/23Birchmere - Alexandria

This is the 4th time my husband I have seen Keiko Matsui live. Each and every time we’ve seen her we are spellbound by her mastery of her music. Some of her selections even bring tears to my eyes as they are so moving. Love her most recent CD but each and every CD of hers is fabulous. Can’t wait to see her again!! Her backup musician from Brazil, Holland and Cuba are wonderful as well. This time around she was joined by a sax player from Seattle - he was great!

Love Keiko's sound. Truly a unique smooth jazz with a Japanese lilt. Really a talent. Her band backup support members are all excellent musicians. Place was packed.

Good concert but didn't play older music

by Wineguy on 11/14/23Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

We had great seats at the PVCH and her band is very talented but most of the songs were from her new album. Only played a couple of the older more popular songs. Would have liked to have heard more of the older music. Also, didn't move around on stage with her portable keyboard like she did last time she was here.

    Meiko Matsui

by Minister Asbury on 11/14/23Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra Beach

She was awesome, such soothing and relaxing the minutes spent listening to her and the band who was just as awesome. She should come back to town on a broader venue where her worth can be more appreciated.
