Kayzo on Tour
The DJ/producer born Hayden Capuozzo has always felt the need for speed. As a kid, the Houston, Texas, native sought his adrenaline fix by playing hockey for his school teams. But his love of fast-paced sports planted the seed for a different sort of passion. As he explained in an interview with YourEDM.com, "Music, electronic to be more specific, was always a big part of my mental preparation for games. I like to think of my music as how I played hockey — energetic and always moving."
After hanging up the skates, Capuozzo moved to Los Angeles in 2012. The world soon got its first taste of his manic mixing style when he entered the Discovery Project, a DJ competition hosted by Insomniac (the famed party promoters behind Las Vegas' Electric Daisy Carnival). His winning mix earned him a slot at Insomniac's Escape From Wonderland festival, Capuozzo's first-ever gig as Kayzo.
Over the next couple of years, he dropped a steady stream of singles and remixes that showcased his frenetic fusion of trap, dubstep, and hardstyle. His 2014 track "Tekken" earned placement on Illinois dance-pop duo Krewella's Ministry of Sound compilation, The Future Sound of EDM.
After launching his own label and metal-inspired merch line, Doghouse, Kayzo dropped his 2017 single "Wake Up." It was a delirious onslaught of ping-ponging electronic percussion, chipmunk-style vocal samples, and accelerated beats created in collaboration with Israeli dubstep duo RIOT. The track racked up 200,000 plays in its first day on SoundCloud and has since garnered more than 18 million streams on Spotify.
The inherently aggressive nature of Kayzo's music and DJ sets — where he's been known to slip in edits of metalcore acts like Bring Me the Horizon and A Day to Remember — made him a natural choice to provide an official remix for Papa Roach's nu-metal anthem "Last Resort" in 2018. Kayzo's EDM/rock crossover campaign continued with his first full-length album, the aptly titled Overload, which crosswired his blitzkrieged beats with squealing guitars and arena-sized vocals from Micah Martin of Iowa hard-rock outfit The Zealots.

Buying the ticket was really eat, the only thing that I didn’t like is how long my ticket took to get here. I was worried up until the very last second before leaving and I was always checking my mail. After I forgot that happened and had the greatest experience ever with Kayzo!!
Had such an amazing time at the meet and greet! Being able to hang out with Hayden and see his perspective from up stage. Such a humble guy and I appreciate his hard work paying off. If I could relive a moment in my life I would have to say it would be this one.
It was the best show I’ve ever seen at the bill graham cracker. I don’t remember most of it kinda came back too life during right on time but it was lit
The show was super lit that i broke my broke my arm 30 min after Kayzo started his set!
This show was next level, incorporating live instruments and a rock feel to the dub/hardstyle of Kayzo. Very well done and great experience overall!
Apart from the fact the bar charged me for 2 extra beers but show was amazing no doubt
I hate saying things like this, and I love kayzo.... but his set was not as good as his openers. I expected more...... for a show at Aragon, he needed to step up more.
Kayzo is amazing!!! Best show he’s had!!! I even got the chance to met him on the streets of Chicago and then he signed our picture together at the show😍
It wasn't my typical genre of choice, but we went for my friend's birthday. Great choice. Great music. Great people.
All 20 of my group couldn’t have asked for a bett time. Thanks for throwing down!
The show itself was great. I didn’t like that we couldn’t have bottled water inside the venue but was given water in an open cup instead which spilled while walking through the crowd. I didn’t receive my items that came with my priority ticket bundle either at the box office.
This was my first time seeing Kayzo after being a fan for a few years. His energy is awesome and he really knows how to read a crowd. This event was a lot of fun, but with this venue in particular, the security is pretty strict. There's always a ton of them on the floor, they'll take things at the door like chapstick and little things that don't really make any sense, and they are just really rude when forcing people out of the venue at closing. Anyway, even with a 1am "hard curfew," Kayzo stayed when the lights came on and took pictures at the rails with fans. He's just one of those artists that wants to make his fans feel special, and that's really cool.
Overall amazing show, the only downside was the security and the time it took to go in.
seeing kayzo live for the first time was an amazing experience would definitely attend another concert next year
Honestly, this event is the best I ever been to! I’m definitely coming back to see Kayzo and 4B. They had me breaking my neck all night! :-)
Kayzo is by far the best Dj i have ever seen. I have seen him multiple times and he always has an amazing energy and show. I would highly recommend any edm, or even just music fans to check him out if you ever have a chance. Kayzo is the best !!
