KAYTRANADA IN CONCERT:
Ever since his 2010 debut, visionary DJ and producer Kaytranada has been blowing up dance floors around the world with his epic remixes and pulse-pounding original tracks. At his live sets Kaytranada dances behind the decks with infectious energy, hyping up the crowd with his slick moves while he drops his hard-hitting blend of futuristic trap, R&B, and EDM. He's remixed music by everyone from Azealia Banks and Beyonce to Janet Jackson and Fugees, and his live shows take ticket buyers on a whirlwind tour through a wildly diverse sonic landscape. Whether he's dropping the beat on originals like "Leave Me Alone" or getting fans dancing with one of his acclaimed reworks, Kaytranada always keeps the energy high and the bass low at his party-worthy live performances.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Haitian-born, Montreal-raised Kaytranada, aka Louis Kevin Celestin, began to DJ at age 14 and started producing the following year after his brother introduced him to music software. He made his debut in 2010 under the moniker Kaytradamus, releasing an impressive string of albums under that alias before renaming himself Kaytranada in 2013 and dropping the album Kaytra Todo. Since then his hip hop-influenced productions and remixes have made him a fixture on the global club circuit, with performances in more than 50 cities around the world. In addition to his own tracks Kaytranada has produced for a growing list of up-and-coming artists that includes Kali Uchis, Freddie Gibbs, and Mick Jenkins. With his cutting-edge sound and energetic live sets, Kaytranada brings an unforgettable dance party to ticket buyers every time he hits the road on tour.
I had the best time. The music was the best and the opening act was good. The only thing I hate was the other concert goers. Some was rude, arrogant, and pushy. The shoving through the crowd and violating people's personal space was a bit much. Despite it all, i had a great time.
This was my 4th concert since restrictions had been lifted in the DMV area and my 3rd in a venue under this umbrella. The Vax Card/Covid test checks have been so smooth. I love the fact that you can go to the Anthem at any point during the day to get checked and then come back to get in line. The concert itself was wonderful (but it’s Kaytranada, we knew that) the venue staff were helpful and consistent in reminding the audience to keep their masks on. i really enjoy my time.
The show was great, we met up with some friends. As always The Anthem proves to be one of the top venues un DC. Everyone was dancing and having a great time. venue staff did a great job of ensuring attendees were wearing mask. Kaytranada had an amazing set!
Great show, really enjoyed Sango as the opening act - great buildup to Kaytranada. Beautiful venue. We had super excellent seats on the balcony and a clear view of the stage.
Amazing venue, Sango and Kaytranada were IMPECCABLE!!! I left soaking wet from dancing the entire time! Please bring them back to DC ASAP!!! Thanks for a magical night I’ll never forget!
The concert was amazing with no issues and a amazing friendly staff. This being my first ever concert made me want to immediately come back for more.
The Kaytranada show was super lit. I’m glad I was able to attend. Having the show at the Anthem was a great choice and he kept the energy rocking the entire night!

Literally still on a high from the show 3 days later. It was like the ultimate dance party. The crowd was hype. Kaytranada did his thing.
This was my second time seeing Kaytranada (first time seeing Sango, and the other opener is a local DJ I love!) and I had an AMAZING time! Kaytra knows how to move a crowd, and everyone seemed to be genuinely enjoying themselves. I feel bad for whoever missed out!

Okay I was introduced to Kaytranada when he released the album 'Bubba'. And when I went to the concert all my expections of him skyrocketed! His proudction and mixing was absolutely insane! When he has another concert in DC, I will be there!
A great night! KAYTRANADA was great and I wish he closed rather than opened up. Big Boi was also cool but would’ve been better going first! Sound, visuals, and crowd were great!
MLS All Star week activities were awesome. Concert and location were on point and great performances by Kaytranada and Big Boi!!
Really enjoyed the opening act and Kaytranada, however, it wasn't the same out of this world experience as we had at wayhome festival when you could literally feel the beat in your chest. Was disappointed with the sound quality and lack of bass at Danforth Music Hall, but still had fun. Hopefully Osheaga is like wayhome and I can get the full Kaytranada experience again!! :) He is so damn talented.
Absolutely great show. Non stop dancing for the entire crowd. I wish I could relive this night!
The entire lineup was amazing! This was my 3rd time seeing Kaytranada and as always, I have no complaints whatsoever. Benji B and Obey City also held their own and kept the crowd hype for Kay. Highly recommended!
