"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard
The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade. He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more. In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.
Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ. In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months. His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd. Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.
Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago. Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums: his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart. The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs. Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs. This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

Just an amazing and unforgettable night that I would do over and over again❤️
Hands down. Best show I've been to in a while. Kaskade never disappoints.
Kaskade had the right blend of beats for a rockin' New Year's Eve. He must come back soon to the Bay Area!!! :)
Kaskade never disappoints. This even was a night to remember. A little sad that he played on a table rather than a throne that he deserves. But nonetheless, he was amazzzzing as always.
Best New Years event I have ever experienced. The venue was amazing. The music was beyond perfect and VIP was fantastic.
KASKADE NEVER LETS YOU DOWN! BEST SHOW EVER!! LOVE
Kaskade means so much to me. At EDCLV2016 I asked my girlfriend out during his set when "Athmosphere" played. This NYE I was super euphoric and everything around me literally felt emotional and incredible. I will never forget his 3 hour set. Cheers to a new year!
I'm speechless after this event. It was unforgettable and downright amazing. Big thanks to Kaskade for closing out 2016 and bringing in the the New Year!
Amazing production. Kaskade rocked it for three hours. Always fun and engery was great
I absolutely loved it! The vibe was great and of course it went by so fast even though it was 3 hours of Kaskade.
no one at the door knew where the VIP area was... I didn't even get kaskade glasses! If you're working the VIP door, please be sure to clearly direct the guest where they should be going!
The event, acts, location and people were awesome. Camp ground parties were a blast. Fantastic view in the morning and you just can't beat golden hour. Concious Crew was great as always. But as usual, the line to get in was rediculous and the pit had an obnoxious gate that fenced off others. Live Nation, invest in some collapsable gates ffs. Random searches in cars dont teach anybody a lesson, just tells you that it's a dice roll. But at least no one had to DRIVE TO COURT the same day like at Paradiso. People are gonna party-hardy. And you put too much sugar in that coffee.
Enjoyed the event in general. But... Production sucked. Long, long delays between headline acts - mood killer. USC, get your act together please. Bands great. Kaskade memorable. But kind of an abrupt ending without much of a finale. Did the wind kill the end of festival fireworks?? Maybe consult Zedd for some ideas. Overall poor value for money, especially at $200 VIP access. VIP = plastic bag, necklace 'badge' no-one needed or wore, wrist band the VIP booth didn't provide me (had to go walkabouts to find it), two small VIP areas well off line of sight of stage with only a smattering of couches and some inflatable 'chair pillows' which one guy spent 20mins trying to inflate and seal (he did more 'dancing' than everyone else combined). No VIP access near front of stage like Paradiso. I'm not feelin' awfully VIP'ish. And now I find out there was a $50 Groupon GA offer. Hold it a few weeks earlier next year, early end of Summer, improve on the temps. The Philly Cheese steak sandwich was excellent!! Make sure to have that again. Yum Yum. Nice try USC. Maybe try again tomorrow.
Usually I feel a child-like exuberance as I drive into the Gorge, and that feeling continues until the minute I leave. For Magnifique however, Live Nation went out of their way to squash any excitement I might have had by stopping every car entering the camp without warning or probable cause to completely search every bag in the vehicle and give everyone in my group a pat down so invasive it would give TSA a hard-on. This included aggressively groping the females in the group to check for contraband hidden in their bras (there wasn't any), to the point that my normally laid-back friends were visibly upset. We didn't bring any banned items with us, and the teardown of our vehicle didn't find anything of concern but we still got to be treated like criminals for 20 minutes while security tore through all our personal items in full view of dozens of strangers. If this is the new normal for shows at the Gorge, Live Nation should A) be transparent about the safety measures it plans to put in place ("all vehicles subject to search" doesn't come close to an accurate disclaimer for this kind of treatment), and B) prepare to lose a lot of previously loyal customers. Thanks for making us feel at home!
Absolutely the best event I've ever attended. Kaskade's set was pure energy and intimate. I wish I could relive it.
Kaskade never disappoints! This production was beyond what words can describe.
EVENT WAS AWESOME BUT THE LINES FOR THE BAR WERE WAY TOO LONG. OTHER THAN THAT, GREAT JOB GUYS!
That was an amazing show!! Kaskade never fails!!!!
Thee best show he has ever put on and happen to be on my birthday. From the opening acts to when he was on. Just wow. It couldn't have gotten any better and the venue was perfect. So much room to move and dance. Best set ever!!!
From the ample parking to the easy access inside VIP, this event was very well organized. A follower of Trance from the 90's and only hearing about these events, I finally got an opportunity to experience one for myself. I still can't believe how I used to hear and see the promoting efforts locally from person to person, bar to bar to the events selling out in minutes!
