"Kaskade's signature sound is as unmistakable as it is beautiful; a combination of dewy female vocals, tough electronic underpinnings, and memorable melodies." -- Billboard
The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade. He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more. In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.
Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ. In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months. His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd. Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.
Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago. Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums: his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart. The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs. Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs. This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

UNBELIEVABLE!! Kaskade blows me away every time I see him. Roseland was an awesome venue- plenty of room to dance, the sound was excellent, and the visuals were even better. Overall amazing show :D
Kaskade was phenomenal, absolutely the best electronic dance music event in the House genre. If you're a trance music fan, e.g. Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Above & Beyond etc. you'll definitely like Kaskade despite the fact that he is mostly a House music DJ. Only true pureists will know and tell the difference in the two styles but if you're into electronic dance music geared for the clubbing scene then you definitely don't want to miss a performance with Kaskade. The concert was high energy packed, great crowd and had a spectacular lighting and laser light show. For a brief moment you thought you were in a trance rave but NO this was definitely house - there's a lot singing and song lyrics with house.
SICK performance. Had so many crazy hard drops. It was out of control.
Kaskade was absolutely phenomenal live! Great set!
THE BEST HALLOWEEN I EVER WENT TO !! such an unforgatable night till 5 am ! KASKADE really took it over by coming down to the crowd at the end ! HE KILLED IT ! the best show i went to! The place was packed no where to move but with his music he made your sole move ! Still had beats in my head ! AMAZING GO ! IF YOU HAVE chance !
I've seen Kaskade before and he never fails to put on an awesome show. The lights, the dancers that were hanging from the ceiling, the giant balloons being tossed around in the audience had all created an awesome vibe and an unforgettable night.
Just an amazing show. Played until after 5am. Great sound and lighting.
I thought the line to get in was absolutely absurd to say the least. But besides the undoubted fact that Alesso and Kaskade would bring in so many fan, it wasn't a surprise. The venue inside wasn't bad, its not the nicest venue but in terms of crowdedness, there dane floor was full, but the bathroom and bar area weren't bad at all. Now to the music, Alesso absoultey threw down, haveing not seen him at Eletric Zoo, I was really excited to hear him and he definitely did not disappoint. Kaskade, I mean he's just a genius and had a phenomenal light show! He one of the best at transitioning in the business and he truley knows how to keep the crowd into it. Overall the show was a blast, great music non-stop and an endless amount of gorgeous women!
It was an amazing performance. What a show. 10/29/11
Best I've seen in NY. Oustanding light show. Halloween costumes add a whole other level to the experience, definitely unforgettable!
But Kaskade on Saturday may have been the best night of my life. All around amazing.
Going into this event I prepared myself for an epic evening with 30 of my close college friends. We arrived at Roseland Ballroom and had to wait for approximately 45 minutes in line outside, which was extremely cold considering most of us were wearing shorts and t shirts (the girls were wearing even less). That being said, once we made our way inside, it proved to be an unforgettable evening. Over the past year I have become a large proponent of house music and had been listening to Kaskade for some time prior to this performance. However, I had no idea Kaskade had so much more potential than I could possibly imagine. The atmosphere and acoustics at Roseland Ballroom were extraordinarily conducive for the awesome electronic sounds that Kaskade flung upon the audience that evening. On top of of the set that Kaskade and Alesso performed, the light show, the acrobatics, and all of the other performers made it a truly memorable event.
This event definitely made it to my top 10 list of the best shows I've been to. I saw Kaskade last year on Halloween with Deadmau5 at Roseland Ballroom. That show blew my mind as well. I must say that this year topped last year with the incredible, breath taking, larger than life multi-colored LED laser light shows. Everyone was in great spirits all night. Bart B-More opening with an amazing set of dirty electronic beats, and Kaskade kept the crowd dancing into the early morning hours.
Awesome performance, place was packed with people, lasers were awesome.
Kaskade - I wish I could relive that day everyday!
i do enjoy kaskade..and if this review was 'show only' then it would have received 5 stars. the biggest drawback about the evening was the sheer number of people roseland admits. they over sold this concert, as they do with many of them at roseland. it was nearly impossible to walk anywhere in the venue without bumping into a million people. and this was everywhere, not just on the dance floor or heavily trafficked areas.
I was SO excited about this concert. I have been to tons of shows at Roseland and am huge Kaskade fan. I don't know if I built up so much hype around this concert and was expecting too much but my expectations were not met. There is no doubt in my mind that this show was oversold. It was too crowded, too hot, and too many elbows flying. I love a late show but by the time Kaskade came on at 1:30 I was over it and worn out from dealing with the crowd. My poor review has very little to do with Kaskade but more to do with Roseland as a venue.
Incredible laser show, played for 4 hours, crowd was full of true fans
Kaskade was amazeballs, Roseland is the best venue for him in NYC!
