The New York Times may have called him the "new face of electronic dance music" in a recent profile, but Ryan Raddon, known as Kaskade, has been in the trenches of the EDM scene as an original recording artist and in-demand DJ for more than a decade.  He has released seven studio albums, including his latest, Fire & Ice, scored nine Top 10 hits on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay Chart, created chart-topping remixes for everyone from Lady Gaga to Beyoncé, appeared at all the major summer festivals, and has performed between 150 and 200 headlining shows a year for the last 10 years, building a name for himself as an innovator of the EDM scene as we know it today, which has opened doors for the likes of Deadmau5, Tiesto, Skrillex and more.  In doing so, he has helped to lay the groundwork for a titanic musical and cultural shift: a post-rock EDM revolution that has captured the imagination of a new generation of music lovers across North America.

Kaskade has been named America's No. 1 DJ by DJ Times and Pioneer DJ.  In 2012, he will appear at this year's Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival festivals, for which he has special performances planned, and will hit the road in June for his biggest headlining tour ever — 70-plus North American shows in just over three months.  His own live show is a jaw-dropping spectacle that finds him performing in front of an 80-foot wide, three-stories tall LED screen that blares images synched with the music while strobe lights scan the crowd.  Kaskade's belief in the transformative power of dance music to uplift thousands of people at once has had a significant effect on the U.S. scene. His ground-breaking double residency in Las Vegas at the Encore Beach Club (which had not even been built when he signed on) and Marquee has elevated the city's status as a premiere club-going destination on par with London, Berlin, and Ibiza, is another testament to his influence.

Growing up in the Chicago suburbs, Raddon was heavily influenced by New Wave bands like The Cure, Echo and The Bunnymen, and The Smiths that ignited his love for melody and lyrics and was strongly impacted by the house music scene that developed in Chicago.   Following stints spinning throughout college and in A&R at OM Records, he began working on his own music, which includes multiple singles, EPs, and remixes, as well as the albums:  his most recent 2011 release Fire & Ice  -- which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, No. 3 on the Independent Albums chart, and No. 17 on the Top 200 Albums chart, while the iTunes version debuted at No. 4 on the overall album chart.  The Fire disc contains ten original songs geared firmly toward the dancefloor, while on the Ice disc, Kaskade delivers the perfect down-tempo post-club experience by remixing all ten songs.  Both discs showcase the musical versatility tat has characterized his work ever since he began writing his own songs.  This album was preceded by It's You, It's Me (2003), In the Moment (2004), The Calm (2006), Here & Now (2006), Love Mysterious (2006), Strobelite Seduction (2008), Dynasty (2010) and Dance.Love (2010).

    Kaskade is simply amazing. His music is melodic, euphoric, and entertaining as hell. He puts on a show. His performance was excellent and I would definitely recommend him to a friend. My ONLY problem with the October 5th Kaskade concert at Barclays center, was with the Barclays center. They are alienating the older (21+) fanbase. I showed up at 9:15pm. I had to wait 20 minutes at the bar because the bartender was SLOW, having conversations with other bartenders & customers, and SHE WAS CHECKING ID'S. Can anyone explain why the bartender is checking ID's? This makes the buying-a-drink process PAINFULLY slow. If someone's at the bar, they should have already had their ID checked. And the bar is sectioned off - SO WHY DONT YOU HAVE SOMEONE AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE BAR CHECKING ID'S??? I had to wait 20 minutes for ONE (1) drink at the bar. And then what happens? THEY CLOSE THE BAR! AT 9:45pm! Unbelievable. Ridiculous. I'd recommend Kaskade to anyone, but I myself would be hesitant to ever return to the Barclays for a show. Idiots.

    Kaskade really put on an amazing show. Hands down the greatest concert I've ever seen. The music was simply bass booming, head bumping, all around great vybe. Wish I could go again. Till next time!!!

    The show was perfect. The only complaint I have is that maybe there should be an age limit. I saw very young children unattended by adults. I do not think there should be anyone under the age of 18. Other than that the show was a great experience.

    the sound system was nowhere near what it should be for such a show. The music was hard to hear. He played mostly very old songs. A kids fest for most part. 90% under 21 drunk and on drugs.

    DJ Kaskade was excellent! The lighting & sound were great, too. It was well organized and easy to navigate through the venue. The only complaint that I have is that the bar should not have closed. They should have issued wrist bands for those 21 and over so that we could've enjoyed more than one cocktail. Our entire group was unhappy about this.

    Great performance. Lots of fun. Good music. The event really should have been 18+ but at such a large venue that is difficult to do. Definitely still a great time, even not being in general admission.

    Excellent performance. Played old and new hits, a lot from his atmosphere cd, and plenty of oldies. Kaskade NEVER disappoints!!!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!!!!! MARRY ME!!!!!!!!!!

    There's a reason why Kaskade is considered the #1 DJ in the world... because, well HE IS!!! The light show was spectacular, the crowd was WILD, the two stages blew me away.. Kaskade tore it up until 12:30 and the beats were in my head for days after!! I wish the concert never ended. If Kaskade is coming to town and you are an EDM fan, DEF DEF DEF go.

    Kaskade never fails to amaze me but his Atmosphere tour really showed how he can bring the whole scene to the next level. Thank you thank you for an amazing night and unforgettable memories! Singing live, switching dual stages, I could barely keep up. Loved every second.

    If you are fan of EDM you will love kaskade!! I went to see Zedd a week before kaskade and I have to say I had more fun here! I love Zedd but kaskade was a night to remember. The AAA had never let me down with concerts. I'm so glad I got to be a part of the crowd. Kaskade had amazing songs new and old. The lights were bright and pretty. I would go see him again hands down!!
