KASABIAN IN CONCERT:

British neo-psych icons Kasabian continue to dominate the British rock landscape, matching their four No. 1 albums with equally impressive live performances. The band's energy and showmanship have made them a frequent headlining act at festivals around the world, and their legendary live shows are widely considered some of the most electrifying in the business. Whether they're tearing through their breakout single "Club Foot" or treating fans to cuts from their 2014 LP 48:13, Kasabian are a consummate live act that get the adrenaline pumping every time they take the stage.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Kasabian formed in Leicester, England in 1997, spending their early years performing local shows and recording demos. They released their first official single "Processed Beats" in 2003, and in 2004 they skyrocketed to success with their self-titled debut album. Propelled by Top 20 singles like "Club Foot" and "L.S.F. (Lost Souls Forever)", the album peaked at No. 4 on the UK Albums Chart, earning stellar reviews and making them critical darlings both at home and abroad. After extensive touring, the band released their 2006 sophomore album Empire to a No. 1 spot on the British charts. Since then they've topped the UK Albums Chart with three more albums, won NME's Best Live Act award, and been named "Best Group" at the 2010 Brit Awards. Kasabian continued their reign in 2014 with the release of their chart-topping fifth album 58:13, thrilling fans with another high-octane tour in support of the record.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Kasabian is the real deal. They put a tremendous amount of energy into their performance and If you are fortunate enough to have an opportunity to experience them live, you will leave a bigger fan. No gimmicks with this band, they play hard."

"Great English band...they really moved the crowd and the intensity of the music helped."

"As usual Kasabian put on a wonderful show, both musically and visually. Tom was his megalomaniacal self and Serge was beyond great. The show was fantastic and I wished it didn't end when they got off stage for the final time."

  • Leicester Lads rule NYC.

    by Foxintheusa on 10/1/14Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Terminal 5 in Manhattan became the latest in a long line of venues to bear witness to the best live act on the planet. Kasabian put on a powerhouse performance from start to finish. A perfect blend of tracks from the latest offering 48:13 right back to the iconic self titled debut. How they don't get the recognition they deserve over here is one of the great musical travesties of all time.

  • Kasabian at Terminal 5.....the best yet

    by JNGAllen on 10/1/14Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

At 41 years old it's difficult to describe just how fantastic this gig was! Went with my girlfriend & didn't stop smiling from start to finish. Perfect support band, great venue, just amazing....Terminal 5 is a small venue that holds 3000, it isn't pretty but where can you see a band of this quality in a small venue? Staff were great....I already loved Kasabian, this just made me closer. We both came away saying best gig EVER!

Kasabian had so much energy and the crowd was absolutely having it! Amazing show.

  • Amazing!

    by Phoenix777 on 9/30/14Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Despite the fact that Terminal 5 was completely packed because it was a sold out show, Kasabian performed fantastically! Great energy and awesome songs, Kasabian is one of my favorite groups and the band members are wonderful when performing live.

  • Kasabian is on Fire!

    by Tpak98 on 9/30/14Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Awesome show at Terminal 5. Kasabian were riveting and full of energy on stage. The band were not pretentious as they are in interviews and seemed like they stripped down the show to reveal just raw music without any major light effects or moving images.

  • Kasabian at their best

    by GDHutchison on 9/30/14Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I'll start of saying that prior to this I had never seen a Kasabian gig. I was in NYC on a business trip and wanted things to do that wouldn't ruin the possibility of a potential vacation here with the wife. I'm british and have always liked Kasabian's music, its very dramatical, punchy and upbeat, and makes the perfect soundtrack to any football (thats soccer for you Yanks) film. There are some concerts I have been to where the audio quality (acoustics) of the building aren't great quality and there are some bands whose set up doesn't allow for the vocal track to be heard above the lead guitar or drums. Kasabian however; had this spot on. The Venue (Terminal 5) acoustics were fantastic and the band audio tracks were at the right levels. This was instrumental to the success of this gig. It mean I could hear every note and every word and really feel the connection to the song, and the beat. I'm sure everyone felt the same way as I did, the atmosphere was amazing. I have never been to a gig where the whole audience is jumping up and down at the same time.

  • Kasabian can do no wrong

    by LorindaSC on 9/30/14Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Concert at Terminal 5 in NY on Saturday was brilliant. Band were on form and incredibly in tune with the crowd. A lot of brits there. That was okay:o) (I'm from Edinburgh but live in NY now). Will be at their next NY/NJ gig come hell or high water.

  • Good but it could be better

    by Arensee on 9/30/14Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

Kasabian is a good band, with great songs. They can really make you dance the whole concert if they want. But they didn't want to do it. I felt a lack of energy and even I got bored sometimes in the concert. I think it could be a great concert, but it wasn't. Maybe my expectations were too high. In any case, it was worth the money, it was a good concert.

  • Kasabian was worth waiting for

    by Bowie33 on 9/30/14Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

They had so much positive energy. I just smiled, sang and danced the whole time. It was wonderful! I have been a fan for 10yrs now, and this was the first time I noticed them coming to our area. WOW, it was great.

  • Great!!!

It was awesome to see a band who headlined Glastonbury in such a small venue. What a treat!

  • So happy I got to see Kasabian in a small venue!

by BlackMagilla on 9/29/14Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

I really despise arena shows. After years of going to concerts, I like to be up close & personal. It appears that Kasabian plays some pretty damn huge shows in the UK. I was excited to see them at an intimate club show in Boston (The Paradise). The Paradise is a great place for seeing shows. Yeah, it has those stupid sight-line blocking poles, but it is also a pretty small venue with respectable acoustics. So seeing Kasabian there was awesome. Great show. Serge had a tail pinned on to his butt (um, not sure what was up with that but rock on, brother). Their drummer is a damned beast, loved him. Rest of the band was incredible, also. They played all the hits (except for "Reason is Treason" which I was a bit bummed about), plus a snippet of Fat Boy Slim's "Praise You" which segued into "LSF". Tom Meighan has quite a strong voice live though his stage presence is just a tad lame. They played a handful of songs from the new album & they sounded incredible.

  • Kasabian is one of the best acts live. Period!

by Jennymick on 9/29/14Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Kasabian are huge in Europe and kinda sorta seem to be getting traction in the U.S. I discovered Kasabian about 4 years ago and have tried to spread the Kasabian love. This is my 4th time seeing them and I can't think of another act I have enjoyed seeing more. Of course, these guys are a massive band. They are used to playing to MASSIVE crowds, so part of the enjoyment is getting to see them in such small venues here in the US. They played to the 900 of us in Boston as tho they were headlining Reading. If you can see Kasabian live in the US in a small venue, do yourself a favor and do it. It's only a matter of time before these guys go legit in the States and gone will be the days of their small club-gigs. Wait, on second thought, no one should go see Kasabian!

Kasabian is a fantastic band, and it was a pleasure to see them at a small, intimate venue

  • kasabian at the paradise

    by treetops20 on 9/29/14Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show! Good mix of new stuff and old hits. Add that to rhe fact they played at Rhe Paradise Rock Club, a small, intimite music venue just months after headlining the Glastonbiry Festival and I can truly say it was unreal!

  • by Anonymous on 9/29/14Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

Great show, absolutely amazing. Electric. Got to meet Tom and Serge after the show and both of the are very down to Earth. Saw them at the House of Blues in Boston 2 years ago and that was a very good show too, but this one just blew my mind. Great show guys!!!

  • Kasabian @ Terminal 5!!!!

    by hicksgospel on 5/20/12Terminal 5 - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Absolutely amazing! These guys brought the party and kept the energy up the entire show. Next time they hit the city I'm going again. :)

  • Incredible!

by Anonymous on 5/8/12South Side Music Hall - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Saw their first show of their latest tour in Dallas. Incredible show!!! They sound just like their albums. The sound in general was great. The venue was small and made the experience even better. Sorry guys, may have started a couple unnecessary mosh pits, but it was worth it!!

  • Kasabian was amazing! Super High Energy!

by ecuakat on 4/24/12The Fonda Theatre - HollywoodRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing show! Lead singer was so sexy and interactive, loved his style and swagger always involving the crowed! LOVED HIM! And the band sounded totally on key except that the sound system was way too loud and speakers should never be on the general admin ground floor, they should be higher…it loses its sound because its too loud, and I love loud and for me to say that is unreal… Maybe reconsider the logistics of the sound system.

  • Kasabian

Great English band...they really moved the crowd and the intensity of the music helped...Too bad i had to go to work the next day...Headed home after the concert but overall great night of music...waiting for the new album!!!!

  • Kasabian Plays Hard!

by DRinLA on 4/24/12The Fonda Theatre - HollywoodRating: 4 out of 5

I first saw Kasabian when they played at The Hollywood Bowl opening for Oasis. Their sound and performance resonated with me immediately and I became a fan. This particular show at The fonda was even better because of the intimate venue. Kasabian is the real deal. They put a tremendous amount of energy into their performance and If you are fortunate enought to have an opportunity to experience them live, you will leave a bigger fan. No gimmicks with this band, they play hard. We brought along a few friends who were experiencing the band and their music for the first time and now they are fans as well. Don't miss Kasabian.
