Karen Rontowski is not your average comedian - at least not within our typical levels of consciousness. No, this stand-up comic is also a paranormal investigator, tarot reader, and reiki master, all disciplines that infuse their way into her incisive comedy.

Born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Rontowski first made her way to Las Vegas in her early twenties to work as a cigarette girl at Caesars Palace and hone her skills in stand-up at the Riviera Comedy Club. But it wasn't until she settled in San Diego, California that she began to really refine her comedic craft. There, she became a regular at The Comedy Store and The Improv.

She has since taken her comedy to various clubs, TV shows, and corporate events across the globe. She's appeared on 'The Late Show with David Letterman,' Sirius XM Satellite Radio, Comedy Central, Comedy.com, 'Mysteries of the Unexplained,' and as a regular on the 'Bob & Tom Radio Show.'

She's also performed at paranormal conventions and created her own podcast and web series, 'Paranormal Karen,' which has her reporting from haunted spots, where often laughter - rather than screaming - ensues. You can even get a taste of Karen's comedy at Target stores around the nation. Just head to the greeting-card aisle and look for the "Frank and Funny" cards.

It's on stage, though, where you find Karen in her true comedic element. In her decades-long career, she has opened for big names like Bob Hope, Ray Charles, and even the Monkees. She has also released a few live comedy albums, including 2012's 'President of the United States' and 2018's 'This is Why.'

Karen's comedy - influenced by legends like Gracie Allen, Bob Newhart, and Phyllis Diller - is often self-deprecating, with a mix of failed dates, credit card debt, technological mishaps, and paranormal phenomena. As a veteran stand-up, she continues to bring her razor-sharp wit - combined with a few funny ghost stories - to clubs across the U.S.
