About

Juvenile's latest album Rejuvenation  features Rick Ross and collaborations with Lil Wayne, DJ Khaled and Drake. The rapper is known for his incendiary live shows, which bring his signature New Orleans style to the stage. “Back That Thang Up” is usually the song that gets the audience up and dancing, but ticket buyers can expect him to perform a good smattering of hits throughout his career during a concert. He nails his vintage hits, like “Set It Off,” and mixes up his classics with newer stuff, like the bass-thumping “Mardi Gras,” “They Sleeping On Me” and “Power,” his newest single with Rick Ross. He’ll have you waving your arms back and forth as he marches across the stage with his posse behind him, backing him up.

Juvenile, born Terius Gray, has been rapping since he was 19 and quickly gained popularity in New Orleans and the surrounding areas for his quirky style and infectious rhythms. His 1999 single, “Back That Thang Up,” paved his way to stardom, and the No. 1 hit, “Slow Motion,” pushed him further into the limelight. Working with Lil Wayne and the Hot Boys, he helped create the New Orleans “bounce” craze in the 90s, and his gangster rap steadily matured into a record deal with Atlantic and chart-topping hits as a solo artist. His 2006 album Reality Check, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, was recorded in part at a New Orleans studio that was flattened by Hurricane Katrina. He recorded the catchy hip hop anthem, “Get Ya Hustle On,” as a criticism on the way the Bush Administration handled the Katrina disaster. Juvenile, a southern hip-hop veteran, continues to drop fresh beats and stun crowds when on tour.

    Sound Issues

by L Mazi on 11/14/23Indiana Farmers Coliseum - Indianapolis

If I could rate out of 10, I would give 3-4 stars. The problem was the sound was absolutely horrible. The artist did the best they could and showed up to perform. However the microphone sound was so low the music in the background drowned them out. The audience could barely hear The Goodie Mob. During the Scarface performance he recognized the issue and tried to fix it, but it did not do much good. The artist should know Indy showed up ready to party but we could not hear you! Also in my opinion the venue could have been better.

One of the worst concerts I’ve been to. The sound quality was absolutely terrible lots of feedback on mics and the artist mics weren’t loud nor clear. And also a screen to view them would help

by E Dub on 11/14/23Indiana Farmers Coliseum - Indianapolis

The sound system was terrible, even after the artist attempted to make suggestions to the sound engineers they were still unable to get it right. Most of the area a were unable to understand any of the musicians

by WMR on 11/14/23Indiana Farmers Coliseum - Indianapolis

The sound was terrible! We could not tear the 1st 2 rappers. Scarface was the only rapper i that told the ge I’ve to fix the sound AND he had to tell the venue HOW to fix it! The next 2 acts were the same terrible sound, I felt like I was at a house party. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED

    Sound system was trash!

by 317 on 11/14/23Indiana Farmers Coliseum - Indianapolis

It was distorted as heck! Best parts were when Scarface and Juvenile rapped without the music. I went to see Bun B but it was so distorted I couldn’t hear him.

    Kinda Worth It

by Skook on 10/23/23Fox Theater - Oakland - Oakland

Juvie didn’t hit the stage until 10pm and was done by 10:58pm. Show started at 8pm. Poor DJ was stalling for time. While I definitely enjoyed hearing some of my favorite songs from back in the day, I was not happy about the wait or the brevity of the performance.
