This was a stripped down, acoustic show with Justin on guitar (and vocals of course) and Peter Adams on keyboards/accordion/drum machine/backing vocals. Peter is very talented and complimented Justin really well. Justin did a good mix of Del Amitri classics and his newer solo works.
Opened with "Always The Last To Know". Did an interesting cruise ship/lounge arrangement of "Not Where It's At" off of SOSC. Other Del Amitri songs included "Nothing Ever Happens", "This Side Of The Morning", "Just Like A Man", "Make It Always Be Too Late", and "Sleep Instead of Teardrops". The tracks that he did off of the new solo album, "The Great War", were unfamiliar to me but sounded fantastic (I bought a signed copy after the show).
The Fine Line is a pretty intimate setting, so Justin had to deal with people shouting out requests after practically every song (including me). Many of which he graciously accommodated; including a couple of old Del Amitri numbers that he couldn't quite remember how to play. It was a great show and I only wish that they would have played another couple of hours and done more requests, but they'd have been there all night. Justin has such a fantastic body of work at this point that he can't possibly play everything that everyone wants to hear.
Overall it was a wonderful show! The only problem I had was that there was some technical difficulty at the beginning of the show that was clearly very frustrating to Justin and Peter. Not their fault but it sort of made the first part of the show a bit awkward. Once they got that taken care of, it was fantastic.
